Free pre-Lie family algebras

In this paper, we first define the pre-Lie family algebra associated to a dendriform family algebra in the case of a commutative semigroup. Then we construct a pre-Lie family algebra via typed decorated rooted trees, and we prove the freeness of this pre-Lie family algebra. We also construct pre-Lie family operad in terms of typed labeled rooted trees, and we obtain that the operad of pre-Lie family algebras is isomorphic to the operad of typed labeled rooted trees, which generalizes the result of F. Chapoton and M. Livernet. In the end, we construct Zinbiel and pre-Poisson family algebras and generalize results of M. Aguiar.

Free Rota-Baxter family algebras and Free (tri)dendriform family algebras

In this paper, we first construct the free Rota-Baxter family algebra generated by some set $X$ in terms of typed angularly $X$-decorated planar rooted trees. As an application, we obtain a new construction of the free Rota-Baxter algebra only in terms of angularly decorated planar rooted trees (not forests), which is quite different from the known construction via angularly decorated planar rooted forests by K. Ebrahimi-Fard and L. Guo. We then embed the free dendriform (resp. tridendriform) family algebra into the free Rota-Baxter family algebra of weight zero (resp. one). Finally, we prove that the free Rota-Baxter family algebra is the universal enveloping algebra of the free (tri)dendriform family algebra.

Doubling bialgebras of rooted trees

The vector space spanned by rooted forests admits two graded bialgebra structures. The first is defined by A. Connes and D. Kreimer using admissible cuts, and the second is defined by D. Calaque, K. Ebrahimi-Fard and the second author using contraction of trees. In this article we define the doubling of these two spaces. We construct two bialgebra structures on these spaces which are in interaction, as well as two related associative products obtained by dualization. We also show that these two bialgebras verify a commutative diagram similar to the diagram verified D. Calaque, K. Ebrahimi-Fard and the second author in the case of rooted trees Hopf algebra, and by the second author in the case of cycle free oriented graphs.

Duality and (q-)multiple zeta values

Following Bachmann's recent work on bi-brackets and multiple Eisenstein series, Zudilin introduced the notion of multiple q-zeta brackets, which provides a q-analog of multiple zeta values possessing both shuffle as well as quasi-shuffle relations. The corresponding products are related in terms of duality. In this work we study Zudilin's duality construction in the context of classical multiple zeta values as well as various q-analogs of multiple zeta values. Regarding the former we identify the derivation relation of order two with a Hoffman-Ohno type relation. Then we describe relations between the Ohno-Okuda-Zudilin q-multiple zeta values and the Schlesinger-Zudilin q-multiple zeta values.

About the convolution of distributions on groupoids

We review the properties of transversality of distributions with respect to submersions. This allows us to construct a convolution product for a large class of distributions on Lie groupoids. We get a unital involutive algebra $\cE\_{r,s}'(G,Ω^{1/2})$ enlarging the convolution algebra $C^\infty\_c(G,Ω^{1/2})$ associated with any Lie groupoid $G$. We prove that $G$-operators are convolution operators by transversal distributions. We also investigate the microlocal aspects of the convolution product. We give conditions on wave front sets sufficient to compute the convolution product and we show that the wave front set of the convolution product of two distributions is essentially the product of their wave front sets in the symplectic groupoid $T^*G$ of Coste-Dazord-Weinstein. This also leads to a subalgebra $\cE\_{a}'(G,Ω^{1/2})$ of $\cE\_{r,s}'(G,Ω^{1/2})$ which contains for instance the algebra of pseudodifferential $G$-operators and a class of Fourier integral $G$-operators which will be the central theme of a forthcoming paper.

Algebraic background for numerical methods, control theory and renormalization

We review some important algebraic structures which appear in a priori remote areas of Mathematics, such as control theory, numerical methods for solving differential equations, and renormalization in Quantum Field Theory. Starting with connected Hopf algebras we will also introduce augmented operads, and devote a substantial part to pre-Lie algebras. Other related algebraic structures (Rota-Baxter and dendriform algebras, NAP algebras) will be also mentioned.

Bialgebra of specified graphs and external structures

We construct a Hopf algebra structure on the space of specified Feynman graphs of a quantum field theory. We introduce a convolution product and a semigroup of characters of this Hopf algebra with values in some suitable commutative algebra taking momenta into account. We then implement the renormalization described by A. Connes and D. Kreimer and the Birkhoff decomposition for two renormalization schemes: the minimal subtraction scheme and the Taylor expansion scheme.

Noncommutative Bell polynomials, quasideterminants and incidence Hopf algebras

Bell polynomials appear in several combinatorial constructions throughout mathematics. Perhaps most naturally in the combinatorics of set partitions, but also when studying compositions of diffeomorphisms on vector spaces and manifolds, and in the study of cumulants and moments in probability theory. We construct commutative and noncommutative Bell polynomials and explain how they give rise to Faà di Bruno Hopf algebras. We use the language of incidence Hopf algebras, and along the way provide a new description of antipodes in noncommutative incidence Hopf algebras, involving quasideterminants. We also discuss Möbius inversion in certain Hopf algebras built from Bell polynomials.

The Magnus expansion, trees and Knuth's rotation correspondence

W. Magnus introduced a particular differential equation characterizing the logarithm of the solution of linear initial value problems for linear operators. The recursive solution of this differential equation leads to a peculiar Lie series, which is known as Magnus expansion, and involves Bernoulli numbers, iterated Lie brackets and integrals. This paper aims at obtaining further insights into the fine structure of the Magnus expansion. By using basic combinatorics on planar rooted trees we prove a closed formula for the Magnus expansion in the context of free dendriform algebra. From this, by using a well-known dendriform algebra structure on the vector space generated by the disjoint union of the symmetric groups, we derive the Mielnik-Plebański-Strichartz formula for the continuous Baker-Campbell-Hausdorff series.

Twisted dendriform algebras and the pre-Lie Magnus expansion

In this paper an application of the recently introduced pre-Lie Magnus expansion to Jackson's q-integral and q-exponentials is presented. Twisted dendriform algebras, which are the natural algebraic framework for Jackson's q-analogues, are introduced for that purpose. It is shown how the pre-Lie Magnus expansion is used to solve linear q-differential equations. We also briefly outline the theory of linear equations in twisted dendriform algebras.

Two interacting Hopf algebras of trees

Hopf algebra structures on rooted trees are by now a well-studied object, especially in the context of combinatorics. In this work we consider a Hopf algebra H by introducing a coproduct on a (commutative) algebra of rooted forests, considering each tree of the forest (which must contain at least one edge) as a Feynman-like graph without loops. The primitive part of the graded dual is endowed with a pre-Lie product defined in terms of insertion of a tree inside another. We establish a surprising link between the Hopf algebra H obtained this way and the well-known Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra of rooted trees by means of a natural H-bicomodule structure on the latter. This enables us to recover recent results in the field of numerical methods for differential equations due to Chartier, Hairer and Vilmart as well as Murua.

Confluence of singularities of differential equation: a Lie algebra contraction approach

We investigate here the confluence of singularities of Mathieu differential equation by means of the Lie algebra contraction of the Lie algebra of the motion group M(2) on the Heisenberg Lie algebra H(3). A similar approach for the Lamé equation in terms of the Lie algebra contraction of $SO_0(2,1)$ on the Lie algebra of the motion group M(2) is outlined.

New identities in dendriform algebras

Dendriform structures arise naturally in algebraic combinatorics (where they allow, for example, the splitting of the shuffle product into two pieces) and through Rota-Baxter algebra structures (the latter appear, among others, in differential systems and in the renormalization process of pQFT). We prove new combinatorial identities in dendriform dialgebras that appear to be strongly related to classical phenomena, such as the combinatorics of Lyndon words, rewriting rules in Lie algebras, or the fine structure of the Malvenuto-Reutenauer algebra. One of these identities is an abstract noncommutative, dendriform, generalization of the Bohnenblust-Spitzer identity and of an identity involving iterated Chen integrals due to C.S. Lam.

Shuffle relations for regularised integrals of symbols

We prove shuffle relations which relate a product of regularised integrals of classical symbols to regularised nested (Chen) iterated integrals, which hold if all the symbols involved have non-vanishing residue. This is true in particular for non-integer order symbols. In general the shuffle relations hold up to finite parts of corrective terms arising from renormalisation on tensor products of classical symbols, a procedure adapted from renormalisation procedures on Feynman diagrams familiar to physicists. We relate the shuffle relations for regularised integrals of symbols with shuffle relations for multizeta functions adapting the above constructions to the case of symbols on the unit circle.

Orbites coadjointes et variétés caractéristiques

The purpose of the present work is to describe a dequantization procedure for topological modules over a deformed algebra. We define the characteristic variety of a topological module as the common zeroes of the annihilator of the representation obtained by setting the deformation parameter to zero. On the other hand, the Poisson characteristic variety is defined as the common zeroes of the ideal obtained by considering the annihilator of the deformed representation, and only then setting the deformation parameter to zero. Using Gabber's theorem, we show the involutivity of the characteristic variety. The Poisson characteristic variety is indeed a Poisson subvariety of the underlying Poisson manifold. We compute explicitly the characteristic variety in several examples in the Poisson-linear case, including the dual of any exponential solvable Lie algebra. In the nilpotent case, we show that any coadjoint orbit appears as the Poisson characteristic variety of a well chosen topological module.
