Ascertaining higher-order quantum correlations in high energy physics

Nonlocality is a peculiar nature of quanta and it stands as an important quantum resource in application. Yet mere linear property of it, viz. the first order in moment, has been explored through various inequalities. Noticing the vast higher-order regime unexplored, in this study we investigate the higher-order quantum correlations in entangled hyperon-antihyperon system, which may be generated massively in charmonium decays. A new type of Clauser-Horne inequality for statistical cumulants and central moments is formulated. We find that a significant violation of the third-order constraint, indicating the existence of higher-order correlation, exists in hyperon-antihyperon system and can be observed in high energy physics experiments, like BESIII and Belle II. Notably, the violation manifests more in higher energy systems of the $Λ\barΛ$ pair against the kinematic contamination of timelike events.

The Spectra of $p\barΛ$ and $p\barΣ$ Hexaquark States

Motivated by the observation of the $J^P = 1^+$ resonance $X(2085)$ in the $p\barΛ$ system by the BESIII collaboration, we studied the molecular states of hexaquarks $p\barΛ$ and $p\barΣ$ with baryon-antibaryon structures within the framework of the QCD sum rules. Non-perturbative contributions up to dimension 13 were considered in our analysis. The results indicate the existence of six possible molecular states $p\barΛ$ and $p\barΣ$, with quantum numbers $J^{P}=0^{-}, 0^{+}, 1^{-}$. Consequently, the current sum rule results do not support the interpretation of $X(2085)$ as a $p\barΛ$ or $p\barΣ$ molecular state. On the other hand, we find that the masses of the proposed $p\barΛ$ and $p\barΣ$ structures with $J^{P} = 1^{-}$ are in the vicinity of observed $X(2075)$, which implies that the nature of this state needs more invistigations. Moreover, the possible decay modes of the concerned hexaquark states are analyzed.

Baryons and baryoniums in the perspective of QCD sum rules

Following the experimental confirmation of tetraquark and pentaquark states, the search for hexaquark states has emerged as a new frontier in hadron physics. Recent experimental progress, particularly by the BESIII collaboration, has provided compelling evidence for the existence of near-threshold $p\bar{p}$ bound states. These baryon-antibaryon systems, commonly referred to as baryoniums, are regarded as promising hexaquark candidates. In this article, we provide a comprehensive review of the investigations into baryonium states and their constituents, i.e., baryons, within the framework of QCD sum rules. We delineate the fundamental calculation procedures of this method to facilitate its practical application and benchmark the theoretical predictions against alternative models as well as the latest experimental data.

A new parameterized monogamy relation between entanglement and equality

We provide a generalized definition of the monogamy relation for entanglement measures. A monogamy equality rather than the usual inequality is presented based on the monogamy weight, from which we give monogamy relations satisfied by the $α$th $(α>0)$ power of the entanglement measures. Taking concurrence as an example, we further demonstrate the significance and advantages of these relations. In addition, we show that monogamy relations can be recovered by considering multiple copies of states for every non-additive entanglement measure that violates the inequalities. We also demonstrate that the such relations for tripartite states can be generalized to multipartite systems.

General Schemes for Quantum Entanglement and Steering Detection

Separability problem is a long-standing tough issue in quantum information theory. In this paper, we propose a general method to detect entanglement via arbitrary measurement $\boldsymbol{X}$, by which several novel criteria are established. The new criteria are found incorporate many of the prevailing ones in the literatures. Our method is applicable as well to the steering detection, which possesses a merit of ignoring the knowledge of involved quantum states. A concept of measurement orbit, which plays an important role in the detection of entanglement and steering, is introduced, which enlightens our understanding of uncertainty relation. Moreover, an extension of symmetric informationally complete positive operator-valued measures (SIC-POVM), viz. symmetric complete measurements (SCM), is proposed, and employed to reconstruct the quantum state analytically.

Informationally complete measures of quantum entanglement

Although quantum entanglement has already been verified experimentally and applied in quantum computing, quantum sensing and quantum networks, most of the existing measures cannot characterize the entanglement faithfully. In this work, by exploiting the Schmidt decomposition of a bipartite state $|ψ\rangle_{AB}$, we first establish a one-to-one correspondence relation between the characteristic polynomial of the reduced state $ρ_A$ and the polynomials its trace. Then we introduce a family of entanglement measures which are given by the complete eigenvalues of the reduced density matrices of the system. Specific measures called informationally complete entanglement measures (ICEMs) are presented to illustrate the advantages. It is demonstrated that such ICEMs can characterize finer and distinguish better the entanglement than existing well-known entanglement measures. They also give rise to criteria of state transformations under local operation and classical communication. Moreover, we show that the ICEMs can be efficiently estimated on a quantum computer. The fully separability, entanglement and genuine multipartite entanglement can detected faithfully on quantum devices.

Light baryonium spectrum

We evaluate the light baryonium spectrum, viz. the baryon-antibaryon states, in the framework of QCD sum rules. The nonperturbative contributions up to dimension 12 are taken into account. Numerical results indicate that there might exist eight possible light baryonium states, i.e. $p$-$\bar{p}$, $Λ$-$\barΛ$, $Σ$-$\barΣ$, and $Ξ$-$\barΞ$ with quantum numbers of $0^{-+}$ and $1^{--}$. For the $Λ$-$\barΛ$, $Σ$-$\barΣ$, and $Ξ$-$\barΞ$ states, their masses are found above the corresponding dibaryon thresholds, while the masses of $p$-$\bar{p}$ states are not. The possible baryonium decay modes are analyzed, which are hopefully measurable in BESIII, BELLEII, and LHCb experiments.

NLO QCD corrections to pseudoscalar quarkonium production with two heavy flavors in photon-photon collision

We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) corrections to $γ+γ\to η_c+c+\bar{c}$, $γ+γ\to η_b+b+\bar{b}$ and $γ+γ\to B_c+b+\bar{c}$ processes in the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism. The cross sections at the SuperKEKB electron-positron collider, as well as the future collider like the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC), are evaluated. Numerical results indicate that the NLO corrections are significant, and the uncertainties in theoretical predictions with NLO corrections are reduced as expected. Due to the high luminosity of the SuperKEKB collider, the $η_c+c+\bar{c}$ production is hopefully observable in the near future.

Quantum Coherence Bounds the Distributed Discords

Establishing quantum correlations between two remote parties by sending an information carrier is an essential step of many protocols in quantum information processing. We obtain trade-off relations between discords and coherence within a bipartite system. Then we study the distribution of coherence in a bipartite quantum state by using the relations of relative entropy and mutual information. We show that the increase of the relative entropy of discord between two remote parties is bounded by the nonclassical correlations quantified by the relative entropy of coherence between the carrier and two remote parties, providing an optimal protocol for discord distribution and showing that quantum correlations are the essential resource for such tasks.

Experimental test of the majorization uncertainty relation with mixed states

The uncertainty relation lies at the heart of quantum theory and behaves as a non-classical constraint on the indeterminacies of incompatible observables in a system. In the literature, many experiments have been devoted to the test of the uncertainty relations which mainly focus on the pure states. In this work we test the novel majorization uncertainty relations of three incompatible observables using a series of mixed states with adjustable mixing degrees, and compare the compactness of various entropy uncertainty relations. The experimental results confirm that for general mixed quantum system, the majorization uncertainty relation tends to be the tightest constraint on uncertainty, and indicate that the entropy uncertainty relation obtained from the majorzation uncertainty relation is the optimal one. Our experimental setup provides an easy means for preparing mixed states, and based on this simple optical elements can be utilized to realize the required quantum states.

The Generalized Uncertainty Principle

The uncertainty principle lies at the heart of quantum physics, and is widely thought of as a fundamental limit on the measurement precisions of incompatible observables. Here we show that the traditional uncertainty relation in fact belongs to the leading order approximation of a generalized uncertainty relation. That is, the leading order linear dependence of observables gives the Heisenberg type of uncertainty relations, while higher order nonlinear dependence may reveal more different and interesting correlation properties. Applications of the generalized uncertainty relation and the high order nonlinear dependence between observables in quantum information science are also discussed.

The trace amplitude method and its application to the NLO QCD calculation

The trace amplitude method (TAM) provides us a straightforward way to calculate the helicity amplitudes with massive fermions analytically. In this work, we review the basic idea of this method, and then discuss how it can be applied to next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) calculations, which has not been explored before. By analyzing the singularity structures of both virtual and real corrections, we show that the TAM can be generalized to NLO QCD calculations straightforwardly, the only caution is that the unitarity should be guaranteed. We also present a simple example to demonstrate the application of this method.

Analytical analysis on the orbits of Taiji spacecrafts to infinite order of the orbital eccentricity

The dual configuration of the original one is proposed for the orbit design of Taiji spacecrafts. In terms of these two configurations of Taiji, an algorithm is devised to expand the unperturbed Keplerian orbits of spacecrafts to infinite order of $e$, the orbital eccentricity, in the heliocentric coordinate system. Further, based on the algorithm, all the kinematic indicators of Taiji triangles, say three arm-lengths and their corresponding rates of change, and three vertex angles, in both configurations are also be expanded to infinite order of $e$, and it is proved that both configurations of Taiji possess the same symmetry: At every order, three components of every kinematic indicator of Taiji triangle are identical to each other up to a phase shift of $2π/3$, which is independent on the tilt angle of Taiji plane relative to the ecliptic plane. Finally, the above algorithm is slightly modified, and with it, by adjusting the tilt angle around $π/3$ to any order of $e$, the orbits of Taiji spacecrafts in each configuration can be optimized.

Gluon-pair-Creation Production Model of Strong Interaction Vertices

By studying the $η_c$ exclusive decay to double glueballs, we introduce a model to mimic phenomenologically the gluon-pair-vacuum interaction vertices, namely the $0^{++}$ model. Based on this model, we study glueball production in pseudoscalar quarkonium decays, explicitly $η_c \to f_0(1500)η(1405)$, $η_b\to f_0(1500)η(1405)$ and $η_b\to f_0(1710)η(1405)$ processes. Among them $f_0(1500)$ and $f_0(1710)$ are well-known scalars possessing large glue components and $η(1405)$ is a potential candidate for pseudoscalar glueball. The preliminary calculation results indicate that these processes are marginally accessible in the presently running experiments BES III, BELLE II, and LHCb.

Hidden-bottom and -charm hexaquark states in QCD sum rules

In this paper, we investigate the spectra of the prospective hidden-bottom and -charm hexaquark states with quantum numbers $J^{PC }= 0^{++}$, $0^{-+}$, $1^{++}$ and $1^{--}$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. By constructing appropriate interpreting currents, the QCD sum rules analyses are performed up to dimension 12 of the condensates. Results indicate that there exist two possible baryonium states in $b$-quark sector with masses $11.84 \pm 0.22$ GeV and $11.72 \pm 0.26$ GeV for $0^{++}$ and $1^{--}$, respectively. The corresponding hidden-charm partners are found lying respectively at $5.19 \pm 0.24$ GeV and $4.78 \pm 0.23$ GeV. Note that these baryonium states are all above the dibaryon thresholds, which enables their dominant decay modes could be measured at BESIII, BELLEII, and LHCb detectors.

NLO QCD corrections to $B_c$-pair production in photon-photon collision

The $B_c$ meson pair, including pairs of both pseudoscalar states and vector states, productions in high energy photon-photon interaction are investigated at the next-to-leading order (NLO) accuracy in the nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD) factorization formalism. The corresponding cross sections at the future $e^+e^-$ colliders with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV and $500$ GeV are evaluated. Numerical result indicates that the inclusion of the NLO corrections shall greatly suppress the scale dependence and enhance the prediction reliability. In addition to the phenomenological meaning, the NLO QCD calculation of this process subjects to certain technical issues, which are elucidated in details and might be applicable to other relevant investigations.

The cross sections at the SuperKEKB electron-positron collider, as well as at the future colliders, like the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) and the International Linear Collider (ILC), are evaluated. Numerical result indicates that the process will be hopefully to be seen by the Belle II detector within the next decade.

NLO QCD corrections to exclusive electroproduction of quarkonium

The process of exclusive electroproduction of vector quarkonium (EEQ), $e p\to epV$, is per se an interesting topic in studies of quarkonium production mechanism, QCD description of diffractive interaction and nucleon structure. We investigate this process in the framework of nonrelativistic QCD and QCD collinear factorization at the next-to-leading order QCD accuracy. The perturbative convergence behavior is discussed in a large range of photon virtuality $Q^2$. The $J/ψ$ large-$Q^2$ electroproduction data at HERA can be well explained, and the $Υ$ differential production rate is predicted. The uncertainties in theoretical predictions with radiative corrections are greatly reduced. Notice the EEQ process is extremely sensitive to the gluon distribution in nucleon, the generalized parton distribution, our results will constraint the gluon density with high precision while confronting to the future experimental data. For the sake of comparing convenience, the analytic expressions are provided.

Nonlocal Correlation of Spin in High Energy Physics

Nonlocality is a key feature of quantum theory and is reflected in the violation of Bell inequalities for entangled systems. The experimental tests beyond the electromagnetism and massless quanta are of great importance for understanding the nonlocality in different quantum interactions. In this work, we develop a generalized Clauser-Horne inequality pertaining especially to the high energy physics processes, which is quantum mechanical intervene free. We find, in the process of pseudoscalar quarkonium exclusive decay to entangled $Λ\barΛ$ pairs, the inequality could be violated and is verifiable in high energy experiments, like BES III or BELLE II.

Test of Nonlocal Hidden Variable Theory by Leggett Inequality in High Energy Physics

The Leggett inequality is a constraint on the bipartite correlation that admits certain types of non-localities. Existing tests mainly focused on the electromagnetic systems where measurement apparatus are assumed to be projective and sharp. However, in nature there are interactions that do not obey the same conservation laws for photon, and the actual measurements may subject to unavoidable uncertainties due to the fundamental physical principles. In this work, we generalize the Leggett inequality to incorporate the measurements that are unsharp and/or biased. It is found that the parity violation in nature provides a spontaneous implementation of an unsharp measurement for the spin of hyperon. A fine structured Leggett inequality for hyperon decays characterized by the asymmetry parameters is obtained and its violation is found which could be observed with the yet obtained data in experiment, like BESIII and Belle.

Doubly Heavy Tetraquarks in QCD Sum Rules

In the framework of QCD Sum Rules we investigate the $q q^\prime \bar{Q} \bar{Q}$ tetraquark structure with quantum number $J^P = 1^+$, which are embedded in two types of configurations, the $[8_c]_{q \bar{Q}} \otimes [8_c]_{q^\prime \bar{Q}}$ and $[1_c]_{q \bar{Q}} \otimes [1_c]_{q^\prime \bar{Q}}$ with $Q = b, c$, $q = u$, and $q^\prime = d, s$. Our finding confirms the Lattice QCD result that the bottom tetraquark states could exist and their masses are evaluated. In the calculation, the non-perturbative condensate contributions up to dimension eight in operator product expansion are considered, and those terms linear to the strange quark mass $m_s$ are kept. It is found that for octet-octet configuration the masses of potential tetraquark states are about $11.28$ GeV for the $ud\bar{b}\bar{b}$ system, and $11.31$ and $11.34$ GeV for the $us\bar{b}\bar{b}$ system, which are above the corresponding two-meson thresholds. For molecular configuration, the corresponding masses are found below the thresholds, that is $10.36$ GeV and $10.48$ GeV, respectively. The possible tetraquark decay channels are analyzed and the strong decay rates are evaluated. The mass dependence on the radiative correction and the condensates is estimated. Moreover, the doubly charmed tetraquark states are also considered.

Result indicates that the NLO corrections are significant, and the uncertainties in theoretical predictions with NLO corrections are greatly reduced. The charmonium and $B_c$ meson yielding rates at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are given.

Stronger Schrödinger-like Uncertainty Relations

Uncertainty relation is one of the fundamental building blocks of quantum theory. Nevertheless, the traditional uncertainty relations do not fully capture the concept of incompatible observables. Here we present a stronger Schrödinger-like uncertainty relation, which is stronger than the relation recently derived by L. Maccone and A. K. Pati [Phys. Rev. Lett. 113 (2014) 260401]. Furthermore, we give an additive uncertainty relation which holds for three incompatible observables, which is stronger than the relation newly obtained by S. Kechrimparis and S. Weigert [Phys. Rev. A 90 (2014) 062118] and the simple extension of the Schrödinger uncertainty relation.

$B_c$ Production in Higgs Boson Decays

$B_c$ production rate in Higgs boson decays is evaluated in NRQCD framework. Given Higgs total decay width is about $4.20~MeV$ and the vector $B^*_c$ meson decays completely to the ground state, we find that the branching fraction of $B_c$ meson production in Higgs decays is $8.50\times10^{-4}$, where both leading QED and QCD contributions are included. This process is hence detectable in the high-luminosity/energy LHC. In confronting to the quarkonia production, we find that the fraction rate of $B_c$ production is more than an order of magnitude bigger than those of charmonium and bottomoium production in Higgs decays. In the calculation, various differential distributions and uncertainties of the concerned processes are analysed.

Equivalence theorem of uncertainty relations

We present an equivalence theorem to unify the two classes of uncertainty relations, i.e., the variance-based ones and the entropic forms, which shows that the entropy of an operator in a quantum system can be built from the variances of a set of commutative operators. That means an uncertainty relation in the language of entropy may be mapped onto a variance-based one, and vice versa. Employing the equivalence theorem, alternative formulations of entropic uncertainty relations stronger than existing ones in the literature are obtained for qubit system, and variance based uncertainty relations for spin systems are reached from the corresponding entropic uncertainty relations.

Mass Spectra of $0^{+-}$, $1^{-+}$, and $2^{+-}$ Exotic Glueballs

With appropriate interpolating currents the mass spectra of $0^{+-}$, $1^{-+}$, and $2^{+-}$ oddballs are studied in the framework of QCD sum rules (QCDSR). We find there exits one stable $0^{+-}$ oddball with mass of $4.57 \pm 0.13 \, \text{GeV}$, and one stable $2^{+-}$ oddball with mass of $6.06 \pm 0.13 \, \text{GeV}$, whereas, no stable $1^{-+}$ oddball shows up. Pentaquark states in a diquark-triquark model

The diquark-triquark model is used to explain charmonium-pentaquark states, i.e., $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$, which were observed recently by the LHCb collaboration. For the first time, we investigate the properties of the color attractive configuration of a triquark and we define a nonlocal light cone distribution amplitude for pentaquark states, where both diquark and triquark are not pointlike, but they have nonzero size. We establish an effective diquark-triquark Hamiltonian based on spin-orbital interaction. According to the Hamiltonian, we show that the minimum mass splitting between $\frac{5}{2}^+$ and $\frac{3}{2}^-$ is around $100$~MeV, which may naturally solve the challenging problem of small mass splitting between $P_c(4450)$ and $P_c(4380)$. This helps to understand the peculiarities of $P_c(4380)$ with a broad decay width whereas $P_c(4450)$ has a narrow decay width. Based on the diquark-triquark model, we predict more pentaquark states, which will hopefully be measured in future experiments.

Tetraquark States with Open Flavors

In this work, we estimate the masses of tetraquark states with four different flavors by virtue of QCD sum rules, in both $b$ and $c$ sectors. We construct four $[8_c]_{\bar{b} s} \otimes [8_c]_{\bar{d} u}$ tetraquark currents with $J^P = 0^+$, and then perform analytic calculation up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE). We keep terms which are linear in the strange quark mass $m_s$, and in the end find two possible tetraquark states with masses $(5.57 \pm 0.15)$ and $(5.58 \pm 0.15)$ GeV. We find that their charmed-partner masses lie in $(2.54 \pm 0.13)$ and $(2.55 \pm 0.13)$ GeV, respectively and are hence accessible in experiments like BESIII and Belle.

A Possible Solution to the $B\to ππ$ Puzzle Using the Principle of Maximum Conformality

The measured $B_d \to π^0π^0$ branching fraction deviates significantly from conventional QCD predictions, a puzzle which has persisted for more than 10 years. This may be a hint of new physics beyond the Standard Model; however, as we shall show in this paper, the pQCD prediction is highly sensitive to the choice of the renormalization scales which enter the decay amplitude. In the present paper, we show that the renormalization scale uncertainties for $B\to ππ$ can be greatly reduced by applying the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC), and more precise predictions for CP-averaged branching ratios ${\cal B}(B\toππ)$ can be achieved. Combining the errors in quadrature, we obtain ${\cal B}(B_{d}\to π^0π^0)|_{\rm PMC} = \left(0.98^{+0.44}_{-0.31}\right) \times10^{-6}$ by using the light-front holographic low-energy model for the running coupling. All of the CP-averaged $B\toππ$ branching fractions predicted by the PMC are consistent with the Particle Data Group average values and the recent Belle data. Thus, the PMC provides a possible solution for the $B_d \to π^0π^0$ puzzle.

Classification of the Entangled States of $2\times L\times M\times N\times H$

In this work we propose a practical entanglement classification scheme for pure states of $2\times L\times M\times N\times H$, under the stochastic local operation and classical communication (SLOCC), which generalizes the method explored in the entanglement classification of $2\times L\times M\times N$ to the five-partite system. The entangled states of $2\times L\times M\times N\times H$ system are first classified into different coarse-grained standard forms using matrix decompositions, and then fine-grained identification of two inequivalent entangled states with the same standard form are completed by using the matrix realignment technique. As an practical example, entanglement classes of the five-qubit system of $2\times 2\times 2\times 2\times 2$ are presented.

Connection between Measurement Disturbance Relation and Multipartite Quantum Correlation

It is found that the measurement disturbance relation (MDR) determines the strength of quantum correlation and hence is one of the essential facets of the nature of quantum nonlocality. In reverse, the exact form of MDR may be ascertained through measuring the correlation function. To this aim, an optical experimental scheme is proposed. Moreover, by virtue of the correlation function, we find that the quantum entanglement, the quantum non-locality, and the uncertainty principle can be explicitly correlated.

NLO QCD Corrections for $χ_{cJ}$ Inclusive Production at $B$ Factories

The next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) corrections for $χ_{cJ}(^3P_J^{[1]},^3S_1^{[8]})$, the P-wave charmoniums inclusive production at $B$ factories are calculated utilizing the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization formalism. Large NLO corrections are found, especially for $^3P_0^{[1]}$ and $^3S_1^{[8]}$ configurations. NLO QCD Corrections to $η_c+h_c(1P)/ψ_{1,2}(1D)$ Production at B-factories

We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) corrections to double charmonium production processes $e^+e^-\toγ^*\toη_c+h_c(1P)/ψ_{1,2}(1D)$ within the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework. We find that the corrections to $η_c+h_c(1P)$ production are positive, while those to $η_c+ψ_{1,2}(1D)$ are negative. Unlike the $J/ψ+ η_c$ case, all the corrections here are not large. Uncertainties in the renormalization scale, quark mass and running energy of center-of-mass are discussed, and the scale dependence of these processes is found to be greatly reduced with the NLO QCD corrections.

Reformulating the Quantum Uncertainty Relation

Uncertainty principle is one of the cornerstones of quantum theory. In the literature, there are two types of uncertainty relations, the operator form concerning the variances of physical observables and the entropy form related to entropic quantities. Both these forms are inequalities involving pairwise observables, and are found to be nontrivial to incorporate multiple observables. In this work we introduce a new form of uncertainty relation which may give out complete trade-off relations for variances of observables in pure and mixed quantum systems. Unlike the prevailing uncertainty relations, which are either quantum state dependent or not directly measurable, our bounds for variances of observables are quantum state independent and immune from the "triviality" problem of having zero expectation values. Furthermore, the new uncertainty relation may provide a geometric explanation for the reason why there are limitations on the simultaneous determination of different observables in $N$-dimensional Hilbert space.

The QCD NLO Corrections to Inclusive $B^*_c$ Production in $Z^{0}$ Decays

We calculate the next-to-leading order(NLO) quantum chromodynamics(QCD) corrections to the inclusive process of $Z_0 \rightarrow B^*_c+\bar{c}+b$ under the non-relativistic QCD(NRQCD) factorization scheme. Technical details about contributions from vector and axial-vector currents in dimensional regularization scheme are discussed. Numerical calculation shows that the NLO correction enhances the leading-order decay width by about 50%, and the dependence on renormalization scale $μ$ is reduced. The uncertainties induced by quark masses and the renormalization scale $μ$ are also analyzed.

Two-loop QCD Corrections to $B_c$ Meson Leptonic Decays

The two-loop QCD radiative corrections to the $B_c$ meson leptonic decay rate are calculated in the framework of NRQCD factorization formalism. Two types of master integrals appearing in the calculation are obtained analytically for the first time. We get the short-distance coefficient of the leading matrix element to order $α_s^2$ by matching the full perturbative QCD calculation results to the corresponding NRQCD ones. The result in this work helps the evaluation of the $B_c$ leptonic decay constant, as well as the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$, to the full next-to-next-to-leading order degree of accuracy.

Uncertainty equalities and uncertainty relation in weak measurement

Uncertainty principle is one of the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics. In this work, we derive two uncertainty equalities, which hold for all pairs of incompatible observables. We also obtain an uncertainty relation in weak measurement which captures the limitation on the preparation of pre- and post-selected ensemble and hold for two non-Hermitian operators corresponding to two non-commuting observables.

Ascertaining the Uncertainty Relations via Quantum Correlations

We propose a new scheme to express the uncertainty principle in form of inequality of the bipartite correlation functions for a given multipartite state, which provides an experimentally feasible and model-independent way to verify various uncertainty and measurement disturbance relations. By virtue of this scheme the implementation of experimental measurement on the measurement disturbance relation to a variety of physical systems becomes practical. The inequality in turn also imposes a constraint on the strength of correlation, i.e. it determines the maximum value of the correlation function for two-body system and a monogamy relation of the bipartite correlation functions for multipartite system.

Estimating the mass of the hidden charm $1^+(1^{+})$ tetraquark state via QCD sum rules

By using QCD sum rules, the mass of the hidden charm tetraquark $[cu][\bar{c}\bar{d}]$ state with $I^{G} (J^{P}) = 1^+ (1^{+})$ (HCTV) is estimated, which presumably will turn out to be the newly observed charmonium-like resonance $Z_c^+(3900)$. In the calculation, contributions up to dimension eight in the operator product expansion(OPE) are taken into account. We find $m_{1^+}^c = (3912^{+306}_{-153}) \, \text{MeV}$, which is consistent, within the errors, with the experimental observation of $Z_c^+(3900)$. Extending to the b-quark sector, $m_{1^+}^b = (10561^{+395}_{-163}) \,\text{MeV}$ is obtained. The calculational result strongly supports the tetraquark picture for the "exotic" states of $Z_c^+(3900)$ and $Z_b^+(10610)$.

Noticing that these $0^{--}$ oddballs with unconventional quantum number are attainable in BESIII, BELLEII, PANDA, Super-B and LHCb experiments, we believe the long search elusive glueball could be measured shortly.

Interpretation of $Z_c(4025)$ as the Hidden Charm Tetraquark States via QCD Sum Rules

By using QCD Sum Rules, we found that the charged hidden charm tetraquark $[c u][\bar{c} \bar{d}]$ states with $ J^P = 1^-$ and $ 2^+$, which are possible quantum numbers of the newly observed charmonium-like resonance $Z_c(4025)$, have masses of $m_{1^-}^c = (4.54 \pm 0.20) \, \text{GeV}$ and $m_{2^+}^c = (4.04 \pm 0.19) \, \text{GeV}$. The contributions up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) were taken into account in the calculation. The tetraquark mass of $J^{P} = 2^{+}$ state was consistent with the experimental data of $Z_c(4025)$, suggesting the $Z_c(4025)$ state possessing the quantum number of $J^P = 2^+$. Extending to the b-quark sector, the corresponding tetraquark masses $m_{1^-}^b = (10.97 \pm 0.25) \, \text{GeV}$ and $m_{2^+}^b = (10.35 \pm 0.25) \, \text{GeV}$ were obtained, which are testable in future B-factories.

Molecular states with hidden charm and strange in QCD Sum Rules

This work uses the QCD Sum Rules to study the masses of the $D_s \bar{D}_s^*$ and $D_s^* \bar{D}_s^*$ molecular states with quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 1^{+-}$. Interpolating currents with definite C-parity are employed, and the contributions up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) are taken into account. The results indicate that two hidden strange charmonium-like states may exist in the energy ranges of $3.83 \sim 4.13 $ GeV and $4.22 \sim 4.54 $ GeV, respectively. The hidden strange charmonium-like states predicted in this work may be accessible in future experiments, e.g. BESIII, BelleII and SuperB. Possible decay modes, which may be useful in further research, are predicted.

NLO corrections to $χ_{bJ}$ to two-$J/ψ$ exclusive decay processes

The next-to-leading order QCD corrections for $χ_{bJ}$, the p-wave bottomonium, to $J/ψ$ pair decay processes are evaluated utilizing NRQCD factorization formalism. The scale dependence of $χ_{b2}\rightarrow J/ψJ/ψ$ process is depressed with NLO corrections, and hence the uncertainties in the leading order results are greatly reduced. The total branch ratios are found to be the order of $10^{-5}$ for all three $χ_{bJ}\rightarrow J/ψJ/ψ$ processes, indicating that they are observable in the LHC and super-B experiments.

Non-commuting Observables are Jointly Measureable under Disturbance Correction Strategy

In the study of Heisenberg's error-disturbance relation, it is commonly believed that the non-unitary change of states hinders us from deducing the information encoded in original states about subsequently measured observable. However, we find that the disturbance can be corrected iff the pre-measurement is non-projective. In this work, by analysing the effect of decoherence on statistics of the subsequential measurement, we find the acquired information from pre-measurement can be used to developed a correction strategy, and then the information about post-measured observable can be recovered. In viewpoint of estimation theory, this result is the unbiasedness condition, which enable us to define precisions of measurement directly in terms of Fisher information. Moreover, we study the precisions trade-off relations in the information theoretic viewpoint.

Quantum Entanglement of Neutrino Pairs

It is practically shown that a pair of neutrinos from tau decay can form a flavor entangled state. With this kind of state we show that the locality constrains imposed by Bell inequality are violated by the quantum mechanics, and an experimental test of this effect is feasible within the earth's length scale. Theoretically, the quantum entanglement of neutrino pairs can be employed to the use of long distance cryptography distribution in a protocol similar to the BB84.

Search for $W^\prime$ signal via $tW^\prime$ associated production at LHC

A variety of new physics models predict the existence of extra charged gauge bosons ($W^\prime$). It is verified that $W^\prime$ and top quark associated production is a promising process to search for $W^\prime$ signal at the LHC. We study the collider signatures of multi-jets$+$lepton$+\met$ by reconstructing the $tW'$ intermediate state through the decay modes of $W^\prime \to tb$, $W^\prime \to q \bar q'$ and $W^\prime \to l ν$ respectively. An angular distribution related to charged lepton and top quark moving direction is provided to distinguish alternative left-handed or right-handed chiral couplings of $W^\prime$ to quarks in the hadronic decay modes. The superiority on the search of $W^\prime$ is demonstrated in the leptonic decay channel for the left-handed type interaction, which is forbidden for the right-handed type interaction in the most theories. To be more realistic, the relevant standard model backgrounds are simulated. We adopt various kinematic cuts to suppress the backgrounds and collect the integral luminosity needed for the corresponding process detected at the LHC with $3σ$ sensitivity. We also provide a forward-backward asymmetry which is related to the chirality of $W^\prime$. The successive studies can shed light on the potential searching for $W^\prime$ signal as well as distinguishing typical new physics models.

Synchronous concentration and purification schemes of arbitrary unknown hyperentangled mixed states

We present two efficient schemes which can simultaneously accomplish hyperentanglement concentration and purification for two-photon four-qubit systems in an unknown partially hyperentangled mixed states. The first can correct errors in the polarization entanglement and extract maximal hyperentanglement in polarization and spatial mode with additional partial frequency entanglement. The second uses additional maximal frequency entanglement to purify and concentrate hyperentanglement in polarization and spatial mode deterministically. Both of the two schemes are only based on existing optical devices and cross-Kerr nonlinearities.

Understanding the cross section of $e^+e^-\to ηJ/ψ$ process via nonrelativistic QCD

Motivated by the large cross section of $e^+e^-\to ηJ/ψ$ process measured by the BESIII and Belle Collaborations recently, we evaluate this process at $\mathcal{O}(α_s^4)$ accuracy in the framework of nonrelativistic QCD. We find that the cross section at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=4.009$ {GeV} is $34.6\mathrm{pb}$, which is consistent with the BESIII data. The comparison with the Belle data in the region from $4.0\ \mathrm{GeV}$ to $5.3\ \mathrm{GeV}$ is also presented. Concerning the $η$ and $η^\prime$ mixing and the potential gluonium component of $η^\prime$, we also estimate the rate of $e^+e^-\to η^\prime J/ψ$ process, which can be checked within the updated Belle data.

$B_c$ Exclusive Decays to Charmonium and a Light Meson at Next-to-Leading Order Accuracy

In this paper the next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections to $B_c$ meson exclusive decays to S-wave charmonia and light pseudoscalar or vector mesons, i.e. $π$, $K$, $ρ$, and $K^*$, are performed within non-relativistic (NR) QCD approach. The non-factorizable contribution is included, which is absent in traditional naive factorization (NF). And the theoretical uncertainties for their branching ratios are reduced compared with that of direct tree level calculation. Numerical results show that NLO QCD corrections markedly enhance the branching ratio with a K factor of 1.75 for $B_{c}^{\pm}\to η_{c} π^{\pm}$ and 1.31 for $B_{c}^{\pm}\to J/ψπ^{\pm}$. In order to investigate the asymptotic behavior, the analytic form is obtained in the heavy quark limit, i.e. $m_b \to \infty$. We note that annihilation topologies contribute trivia in this limit, and the corrections at leading order in $z= m_c/m_b$ expansion come from form factors and hard spectator interactions. At last, some related phenomenologies are also discussed.

Baryonium

In the framework of the heavy baryon perturbation theory, in which the two-pion exchange is considered, the physical properties of heavy-baryon-anti-heavy-baryon systems are revisited. The potentials between heavy-baryon and anti-heavy-baryon are extracted in a holonomic form. Based on the extracted potentials, the s-wave scattering phase shifts and scattering lengths of $Λ_c$-$\barΛ_c$ and $Σ_c$-$\barΣ_c$ are calculated. From these scattering features, it is found that the $Λ_c$-$\barΛ_c$ system can be bound only when the value of the coupling constant $g_2$ is larger than that from the decay data of the $Σ_c(Σ_c^*) \to Λ_c π$ process. The binding condition for the $Σ_c$-$\barΣ_c$ system is also examined. The binding possibilities of these systems deduced from the scattering calculations are also checked by the bound state calculation and the binding energies are obtained if the system can be really bound. The binding possibility of the $Λ_b$-$\barΛ_b$ system is investigated as well.

Classification of Arbitrary Multipartite Entangled States under Local Unitary Equivalence

We propose a practical method for finding the canonical forms of arbitrary dimensional multipartite entangled states, either pure or mixed. By extending the technique developed in one of our recent works, the canonical forms for the mixed $N$-partite entangled states are constructed where they have inherited local unitary symmetries from their corresponding $N+1$ pure state counterparts. A systematic scheme to express the local symmetries of the canonical form is also presented, which provides a feasible way of verifying the local unitary equivalence for two multipartite entangled states.

Estimation of Semileptonic Decays of $B_c$ Meson to S-wave Charmonia with NRQCD

We study the semileptonic differential decay rates of $B_c$ meson to S-wave charmonia, $η_c$ and $J/Ψ$, at the next-to-leading order accuracy in the framework of NRQCD. In the heavy quark limit, $m_b \to \infty$, we obtain analytically the asymptotic expression for the ratio of NLO form factor to LO form factor. Numerical results show that the convergence of the ratio is perfect. At the maximum recoil region, we analyze the differential decay rates in detail with various input parameters and polarizations of $J/ψ$, which can now be checked in the LHCb experiment. Phenomenologically, the form factors are extrapolated to the minimal recoil region, and then the $B_c$ to charmonium semileptonic decay rates are estimated.

Here, we propose an experimentally feasible scheme for generating spin entangled neutron pairs via the Earth's gravitational field, whose productivity can be one pair in every few seconds with the current technology. The scheme is realized by passing two neutrons through a specific rectangular cavity, where the gravity adjusts the neutrons into entangled state. This provides a simple and practical way for the implementation of the test of quantum nonlocality and statistics in gravitational field.

Reconstructing the 125 GeV SM Higgs Boson Through $\ell\bar{\ell}γ$

To ascertain the new boson with mass near 125 {GeV} observed recently by ATLAS and CMS Collaborations to be the Standard Model Higgs, and to determine its intrinsic properties, more measurements on its various decay channels are still necessary. In this work we reanalyze the processes of the Standard Model Higgs radiative decays to lepton pairs. We find that when photon and leptons are hard, that is possessing energies larger than 1 {GeV}, the branching fractions of $H\rightarrow \ell\bar{\ell}γ(\ell=e~or~μ)$ processes are about two-thirds of the $H\rightarrowμ^+μ^-$ process. Since the lepton-pair yields of the radiative processes mainly come from the Z-boson conversion, which will greatly suppress the backgrounds, we believe the signal should be observable in presently accumulated data or in the next run of the LHC experiment, provided the Standard Model Higgs is indeed light.

We revisit the $J/ψ$ pair production issue at the Fermilab Tevatron Run II with the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=1.96 \mathrm{TeV}$. Both color-singlet and -octet production mechanisms are considered. Our result shows that the transverse momentum($p_T$) scaling behaviors of double $J/ψ$ differential cross sections in color-singlet and -octet deviate distinctively from each other while $p_T$ is larger than $8 \mathrm{GeV}$, and with the luminosity of ${5 \mathrm{fb^{-1}}}$ the $J/ψ$ pair events from color-singlet scheme are substantially measurable in Tevatron experiments, even with certain lower transverse momentum cut. Hence the Tevatron is still possibly a platform to check the heavy quarkonium production mechanism.

Proposal for a new scheme for producing a two-photon, high dimensional hyperentangled state

We propose an experimentally feasible scheme for generating a two $2\times4\times4$ dimensional photons hyperentangled state, entangled in polarization, frequency and spatial mode. This scheme is mainly based on a parametric down-conversion source and cross-Kerr nonlinearities, which avoids the complicated uncertain post-selection. Our method can be easily expanded to the production of hyperentangled states with more photons in multidimensions. Hence the expectation for vast quantities of information in quantum information processing will possibly come true. Finally, we put forward a realizable quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol based on the high dimensional hyperentangled state.

The interpolating currents are composed of a heavy diquark field and a light quark field. Contributions of the operators up to dimension six are taken into account in the operator product expansion. Within a reasonable error tolerance, our numerical results are compatible with other theoretical predictions. This indicates that the diquark picture reflects the reality and is applicable to the study of doubly heavy baryons.

W Boson Inclusive Decays to Quarkonium at the LHC

In this paper, the production rates of quarkonia eta_c, J/psi, eta_b, Upsilon, B_c and B_c^* through W boson decay at the LHC are calculated, at the leading order in both the QCD coupling constant and in v, the typical velocity of the heavy quark inside of mesons. It shows that a sizable number of quarkonia from W boson decay will be produced at the LHC. Comparison with the predictions by using quark fragmentation mechanism is also discussed. Results show that, for the charmonium production through W decay, the difference between predictions by the fragmentation mechanism and complete leading order calculation is around 3%, and it is insensitive to the uncertainties of theoretical parameters; however, for the bottomonium and B_c^(*) productions, the difference cannot be ignored as the fragmentation mechanism is less applicable here due to the relatively large ratio mb/mw.

Determining $1^{--}$ Heavy Hybrid Masses via QCD Sum Rules

The masses of $1^{--}$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are evaluated in terms of QCD sum rules. We find that the ground state hybrid in charm sector lies in $m_{H_c}=4.12\sim 4.79$ GeV, while in bottom sector the hybrid may situated in $m_{H_b} = 10.24\sim 11.15$ GeV. Since the numerical result on charmonium hybrid mass is not compatible with the charmonium spectra, including structures newly observed in experiment, we tempt to conclude that such a hybrid does not purely exist, but rather as an admixture with other states, like glueball and regular quarkonium, in experimental observation. However, our result on bottomonium hybrid coincide with the "exotic structure" recently observed at BELLE.

Pseudoscalar Quarkonium Exclusive Decays to Vector Meson Pair

The pseudoscalar quarkonia exclusive decays to light mesons still poses a challenge to the theoretical understanding of quarkonium properties in decay. In this work, we evaluate the processes of pseudoscalar heavy quarkonium decays into vector meson pairs, especially the helicity suppressed processes of $η_b\rightarrow J/ψJ/ψ$ and $η_c\rightarrow VV$. In the frame of NRQCD, the branching fraction of $Br[η_b\rightarrow J/ψJ/ψ]$ are evaluated at the next-to-leading order of perturbative QCD; and within the light-cone distribution formalism, we calculate also the higher twist effects in these processes. Numerical results show that the higher twist terms contribute more than what from the NLO QCD corrections in the process of $η_b\rightarrow J/ψJ/ψ$. It is found that the experimental results on $η_c\rightarrow VV$ are hard to be understood by merely the quark model and perturbative QCD calculation.

Testing Charmonium Production Mechanism via Polarized $J/ψ$ Pair Production at the LHC

At present the color-octet mechanism is still an important and debatable part in the non-relativistic QCD(NRQCD). We find in this work that the polarized double charmonium production at the LHC may pose a stringent test on the charmonium production mechanism. Result shows that the transverse momentum($p_T$) scaling behaviors of double $J/ψ$ differential cross sections in color-singlet and -octet production mechanisms deviate distinctively from each other while $p_T$ is larger than 7 GeV. In color-octet mechanism, the two $J/ψ$s in one pair are mostly transversely polarized when $p_T\gg 2 m_c$, as expected from the fragmentation limit point of view. In color-singlet mechanism, there is about one half of the charmonium pairs with at least one $J/ψ$ being longitudinally polarized at moderate transverse momentum. The energy dependence of the polarized $J/ψ$ pair production is found to be weak, and this process is found to be experimentally attainable in the early phase of the LHC operation.

Hadronic Production of the Doubly Charmed Baryon $Ξ_{cc}$ with Intrinsic Charm

The effects of the intrinsic charm on the hadronic production of $Ξ_{cc}$ are studied. By taking reasonable intrinsic charm component into account, the change of the theoretical prediction on the production of $Ξ_{cc}$ for LHC and Tevatron is small, but in contrast it may enhance significantly for SELEX. The reason is that the collision energy at LHC and Tevatron is so large that the gluon-gluon fusion sub-process, which is irrelevant to intrinsic charm, becomes dominant. But the situation for SELEX is quite different. Our numerical results for SELEX show that by considering all the contributions from various sub-processes, the predicted cross-section may be enhanced by a factor so big as $10^2$ due to a modulating intrinsic charm being taken into account. Therefore, the hadronic production of $Ξ_{cc}$ at SELEX may be sensitive enough in observing the intrinsic charm inside the incident hadrons.

Hunting eta_b through radiative decay into J/psi

We propose that the radiative decay process, η_b\to J/ψγ, may serve as a clean searching mode for η_b in hadron collision facilities. By a perturbative QCD calculation, we estimate the corresponding branching ratio to be of order 10^{-7}. Though very suppressed, this radiative decay channel in fact has larger branching ratio than the hadronic decay process η_b\to J/ψJ/ψ, which was previously hoped to be a viable mode for ferreting out η_b in Tevatron Run 2. The discovery potential of η_b through this channel seems promising in the forthcoming LHC experiments and maybe even in Tevatron Run 2, thanks to the huge statistics of η_b to be accumulated in these experiments. The same calculational scheme is also used to estimate the branching ratios for the processes η_b (η_c) \to ϕγ.

As solution of these relations, we give representations for the quark-antiquark distribution amplitudes in terms of independent dynamical degrees of freedom. In particular, we find that the Wandzura-Wilczek-type contributions are determined uniquely in analytic form in terms of \barΛ, a fundamental mass parameter of heavy-quark effective theory, and that both leading- and higher-twist distribution amplitudes receive the contributions of multi-particle states with additional gluons.

J/ψElectromagnetic Production at e^+e^- colliders

Within the framework of QED we investigate the inclusive J/ψproduction at $e^+e^-$ colliders. It is expected to be as a further test to the charmonium production mechanisms and QED. We find that at the energies of CESR, BEPC, and TRISTAN (e.g. 4.0 GeV \leq \sqrt s \leq 60 GeV), the contributions of the concerned electromagnetic processes to the $J/ψ$ inclusive production are great, even dominant, thus they greatly affect the observation of the color-octet $J/ψ$ production signature at $e^+e^-$ colliders. The production of ψ', being similar to that of J/ψ's, is roughly estimated, and its influence on the observation of the color-octet J/ψproduction signature in e^+e^- collision is also discussed.
