High-Precision Transformer-Based Visual Servoing for Humanoid Robots in Aligning Tiny Objects

High-precision tiny object alignment remains a common and critical challenge for humanoid robots in real-world. To address this problem, this paper proposes a vision-based framework for precisely estimating and controlling the relative position between a handheld tool and a target object for humanoid robots, e.g., a screwdriver tip and a screw head slot. By fusing images from the head and torso cameras on a robot with its head joint angles, the proposed Transformer-based visual servoing method can correct the handheld tool's positional errors effectively, especially at a close distance. Experiments on M4-M8 screws demonstrate an average convergence error of 0.8-1.3 mm and a success rate of 93\%-100\%. Through comparative analysis, the results validate that this capability of high-precision tiny object alignment is enabled by the Distance Estimation Transformer architecture and the Multi-Perception-Head mechanism proposed in this paper.

Existence and concentration of positive solutions for a logarithmic Schrödinger equation via penalization method

In this article we are concerned with the following logarithmic Schrödinger equation $$ \left\{ \begin{array}{lc} -ε^2Δu+ V(x)u=u \log u^2, & \mbox{in} \,\, \mathbb{R}^{N}, \\ %u(x)>0, & \mbox{in} \quad \mathbb{R}^{N} \\ u \in H^1(\mathbb{R}^{N}), & \; \\ \end{array} \right. $$ where $ε>0, N \geq 1$ and $V:\mathbb{R}^{N}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ is a continuous potential. Under a local assumption on the potential $V$, we use the variational methods to prove the existence and concentration of positive solutions for the above problem.

Multiplicity and concentration results for a magnetic Schrödinger equation with exponential critical growth in $\mathbb{R}^{2}$

In this paper we study the following nonlinear Schrödinger equation with magnetic field \[ \Big(\frac{\varepsilon}{i}\nabla-A(x)\Big)^{2}u+V(x)u=f(| u|^{2})u,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^{2}, \] where $\varepsilon>0$ is a parameter, $V:\mathbb{R}^{2}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ and $A: \mathbb{R}^{2}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{2}$ are continuous potentials and $f:\mathbb{R}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ has exponential critical growth. Under a local assumption on the potential $V$, by variational methods, penalization technique, and Ljusternick-Schnirelmann theory, we prove multiplicity and concentration of solutions for $\varepsilon$ small.

Multiple positive solutions for a Schrödinger logarithmic equation

This article concerns with the existence of multiple positive solutions for the following logarithmic Schrödinger equation $$ \left\{ \begin{array}{lc} -ε^2Δu+ V(x)u=u \log u^2, & \mbox{in} \quad \mathbb{R}^{N}, \\ %u(x)>0, & \mbox{in} \quad \mathbb{R}^{N} \\ u \in H^1(\mathbb{R}^{N}), & \; \\ \end{array} \right. $$ where $ε>0$, $N \geq 1$ and $V$ is a continuous function with a global minimum. Using variational method, we prove that for small enough $ε>0$, the "shape" of the graph of the function $V$ affects the number of nontrivial solutions.

The cone Moser-Trudinger inequalities and their applications

In this article, we firstly study the cone Moser-Trudinger inequalities and their best exponents $α_2$ on both bounded and unbounded domains $\mathbb{R}^2_{+}$. Then, using the cone Moser-Trudinger inequalities, we study the existence of weak solutions to the nonlinear equation \begin{equation*} \left\{\begin{array}{ll} -Δ_{\mathbb{B}} u=f(x, u), &\mbox{in}\ x\in \mbox{int} (\mathbb{B}), \\ u= 0, &\mbox{on}\ \partial\mathbb{B}, \end{array} \right. \end{equation*} where $Δ_{\mathbb{B}}$ is Fuchsian type Laplace operator investigated with totally characteristic degeneracy on the boundary $x_1 =0$, and the nonlinearity $f$ has the subcritical exponential growth or the critical exponential growth.

Standing waves for the Chern-Simons-Schrodinger equation with critical exponential growth

In this paper, by combing the variational methods and Trudinger-Moser inequality, we study the existence and multiplicity of the positive standing wave for the following Chern-Simons-Schrödinger equation \begin{equation} -Δu+u +λ\left(\int_{0}^{\infty}\frac{h(s)}{s}u^{2}(s)ds+\frac{h^{2}(\vert x\vert)}{\vert x\vert^{2}}\right)u=f(x,u)+εk(x)\quad\quad \text{in}\,\,\mathbb{R}^2, \\ \end{equation} where $h(s)=\int_{0}^{s}\frac{l}{2}u^{2}(l)dl$, $λ>0$ and the nonlinearity $f:\mathbb{R}^2\times \mathbb{R}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}$ behaves like $\text{exp}(α\vert u\vert^{2})$ as $\vert u\vert\rightarrow \infty$. For the case $ε=0$, we can get a mountain-pass type solution.

A logarithmic Schrödinger equation with asymptotic conditions on the potential

In this paper we consider a class of logarithmic Schrödinger equations with a potential which may change sign. When the potential is coercive, we obtain infinitely many solutions by adapting some arguments of the Fountain theorem, and in the case of bounded potential we obtain a ground state solution, i.e. a nontrivial solution with least possible energy. The functional corresponding to the problem is the sum of a smooth and a convex lower semicontinuous term.

Observation of interlayer phonon modes in van der Waals heterostructures

We have investigated the vibrational properties of van der Waals heterostructures of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), specifically MoS2/WSe2 and MoSe2/MoS2 heterobilayers as well as twisted MoS2 bilayers, by means of ultralow-frequency Raman spectroscopy. We discovered Raman features (at 30 ~ 40 cm-1) that arise from the layer-breathing mode (LBM) vibrations between the two incommensurate TMD monolayers in these structures. The LBM Raman intensity correlates strongly with the suppression of photoluminescence that arises from interlayer charge transfer. The LBM is generated only in bilayer areas with direct layer-layer contact and atomically clean interface. Its frequency also evolves systematically with the relative orientation between of the two layers. Our research demonstrates that LBM can serve as a sensitive probe to the interface environment and interlayer interactions in van der Waals materials.
