Residue Theorem, Regularization and Parity Theorem

In this paper, we employ contour integration and residue calculus to derive explicit parity formulas for (cyclotomic) multiple zeta values (MZVs). A key innovation lies in applying double shuffle regularization to the contour integrals, which leads to two distinct regularized parity formulas-one via shuffle and one via stuffle regularization. Notably, this demonstrates for the first time that the contour integral method can be extended to the regularized setting (including the case $k_r=1$), thereby overcoming a limitation of previous approaches. Our results not only provide explicit parity relations at arbitrary depths but also lay the groundwork for extending this technique to other variants of multiple zeta values.

Apéry-Type Series with Summation Indices of Mixed Parities and Colored Multiple Zeta Values, I

In this paper, we shall study Aéry-type series in which the central binomial coefficient appears as part of the summand. Let $b_n=4^n/\binom{2n}{n}$. Let $s_1,\dots,s_d$ be positive integers with $s_1\ge 2$. We consider the series \begin{align*} \sum_{n_1>\cdots>n_d>0} \frac{b_{n_1}}{n_1^{s_1}\cdots n_d^{s_d}} \end{align*} and the variants with some or all indices $n_j$ replaced by $2n_j\pm 1$ and some or all "$>$" replaced by "$\ge$", provided the series are defined. We can also replace $b_{n_1}$ by its square in the above series when $s_1\ge 3$. The main result is that all such series are $\mathbb{Q}$-linear combinations of the real and/or the imaginary parts of some colored multiple zeta values of level 4, i.e., multiple polylogarithms evaluated at 4th roots of unity.

Dirichlet type extensions of Euler sums

In this paper, we study the alternating Euler $T$-sums and $§$-sums, which are infinite series involving (alternating) odd harmonic numbers, and have similar forms and close relations to the Dirichlet beta functions. By using the method of residue computations, we establish the explicit formulas for the (alternating) linear and quadratic Euler $T$-sums and $§$-sums, from which, the parity theorems of Hoffman's double and triple $t$-values and Kaneko-Tsumura's double and triple $T$-values are further obtained. As supplements, we also show that the linear $T$-sums and $§$-sums are expressible in terms of colored multiple zeta values. Some interesting consequences and illustrative examples are presented.

Parametric Euler $T$-sums of odd harmonic numbers

In this paper, we define a parametric variant of generalized Euler sums and call them the (alternating) parametric Euler $T$-sums. By using the contour integration method and residue theorem, we establish several explicit formulae for the linear parametric Euler $T$-sums. Furthermore, by applying the results, we obtain explicit formulae for the Hoffman's (alternating) double $t$-values and Kaneko-Tsumura's (alternating) double $T$-values.

Parametric Euler Sums of Harmonic Numbers

We define a parametric variant of generalized Euler sums and construct contour integration to give some explicit evaluations of these parametric Euler sums. In particular, we establish several explicit formulas of (Hurwitz) zeta functions, linear and quadratic parametric Euler sums. Furthermore, we also give an explicit evaluation of alternating double zeta values $\ze(\overline{2j},2m+1)$ in terms of a combination of alternating Riemann zeta values by using the parametric Euler sums.

Some Evaluations of Parametric Euler Type Sums of Harmonic Numbers

We establish some identities of Euler related sums. By using these identities, we discuss the closed form representations of sums of harmonic numbers and reciprocal parametric binomial coefficients through parametric harmonic numbers, shifted harmonic numbers and Riemann zeta function with positive integer arguments. In particular we investigate products of quadratic and cubic harmonic numbers and reciprocal parametric binomial coefficients. Some illustrative special cases as well as immediate consequences of the main results are also considered.

Some results on Arakawa-Kaneko, Kaneko-Tsumura functions and related functions

Recently, the level two analogue of multiple polylogarithm function ${\rm A}(k_1,\ldots,k_r;z)$ and Arakawa-Kaneko zeta function $ψ(k_1,\ldots,k_r;s)$ were introduced by M. Kaneko and H. Tsumura, for $k_1,\ldots,k_r \in \mathbb{Z}_{\ge 1}$ . In this paper, we investigate some of their special relations. In particular, we prove some explicit forms of ${\rm A}(k_1,\ldots,k_r;z)$ and $ψ(k_1,\ldots,k_r;s)$. Also, we introduce a level $m$ anlogue of the Arakawa-Kaneko zeta functions.

Duality of Weighted Sum Formulas of Alternating Multiple $T$-Values

Recently, a new kind of multiple zeta value level two $T({\bf k})$ (which is called multiple $T$-values) was introduced and studied by Kaneko and Tsumura. In this paper, we define a kind of alternating version of multiple $T$-values, and study several duality formulas of weighted sum formulas about alternating multiple $T$-values by using the methods of iterated integral representations and series representations. Some special values of alternating multiple $T$-values can also be obtained.

Explicit Evaluations for Several Variants of Euler Sums

We study several variants of Euler sums by using the methods of contour integration and residue theorem. These variants exhibit nice properties such as closed forms, reduction, etc., like classical Euler sums. In addition, we also define a variant of multiple zeta values of level 2, and give some identities on relations between these variants of Euler sums and the variant of multiple zeta values.

Extensions of Euler Type Sums and Ramanujan Type Sums

We define a new kind of classical digamma function, and establish its some fundamental identities. Then we apply the formulas obtained, and extend tools developed by Flajolet and Salvy to study more general Euler type sums. The main results of Flajolet and Salvy's paper \cite{FS1998} are the immediate corollaries of main results in this paper. Furthermore, we provide some parameterized extensions of Ramanujan-type identities that involve hyperbolic series. Some interesting new consequences and illustrative examples are considered.

Two Variants of Euler Sums

For positive integers $p_1,p_2,\ldots,p_k,q$ with $q>1$, we define the Euler $T$-sum $T_{p_1p_2\cdots p_k,q}$ as the sum of those terms of the usual infinite series for the classical Euler sum $S_{p_1p_2\cdots p_k,q}$ with odd denominators. Like the Euler sums, the Euler $T$-sums can be evaluated according to the Contour integral and residue theorem. Using this fact, we obtain explicit formulas for Euler $T$-sums with repeated arguments analogous to those known for Euler sums. Euler $T$-sums can be written as rational linear combinations of the Hoffman $t$-values. Using known results for Hoffman $t$-values, we obtain some examples of Euler $T$-sums in terms of (alternating) multiple zeta values. Moreover, we prove an explicit formula of triple $t$-values in terms of zeta values, double zeta values and double $t$-values. We also define alternating Euler $T$-sums and prove some results about them by the Contour integral and residue theorem. Furthermore, we define another Euler type $T$-sums and find many interesting results. In particular, we give an explicit formulas of triple Kaneko-Tsumura $T$-values of even weight in terms of single and the double $T$-values. Finally, we prove a duality formula of Kaneko-Tsumura's conjecture.

Variants of Multiple Zeta Values with Even and Odd Summation Indices

In this paper, we define and study a variant of multiple zeta values of level 2 (which is called multiple mixed values or multiple $M$-values, MMVs for short), which forms a subspace of the space of alternating multiple zeta values. This variant includes both Hoffman's multiple $t$-values and Kaneko-Tsumura's multiple $T$-values as special cases. We set up the algebra framework for the double shuffle relations (DBSFs) of the MMVs, and exhibits nice properties such as duality, integral shuffle relation, series stuffle relation, etc., similar to ordinary multiple zeta values. Moreover, we study several $T$-variants of Kaneko-Yamamoto type multiple zeta values by establishing some explicit relations between these $T$-variants and Kaneko-Tsumura $ψ$-values. Furthermore, we prove that all Kaneko-Tsumura $ψ$-values can be expressed in terms of Kaneko-Tsumura multiple $T$-values by using multiple associated integrals, and find some duality formulas for Kaneko-Tsumura $ψ$-values. We also discuss the explicit evaluations for a kind of MMVs of depth two and three by using the method of contour integral and residue theorem. Finally, we investigate the dimensions of a few interesting subspaces of MMVs for small weights.

Explicit evaluation of harmonic sums

In this paper, we obtain some formulae for harmonic sums, alternating harmonic sums and Stirling number sums by using the method of integral representations of series. As applications of these formulae, we give explicit formula of several quadratic and cubic Euler sums through zeta values and linear sums. Furthermore, some relationships between harmonic numbers and Stirling numbers of the first kind are established.

Integrals of logarithmic functions and alternating multiple zeta values

By using the method of iterated integral representations of series, we establish some explicit relationships between multiple zeta values and Integrals of logarithmic functions. As applications of these relations, we show that multiple zeta values of the form \[ζ( {\bar 1,{\left\{ 1 \right\}_{m - 1}},\bar 1,{\left\{ 1 \right\}_{k - 1}}} ),\ (k,m\in \mathbb{N})\] for $m=1$ or $k=1$, and \[ζ( {\bar 1,{\left\{ 1 \right\}_{m - 1}},p,{\left\{ 1 \right\}_{k - 1}}}),\ (k,m\in\mathbb{N})\] for $p=1$ and $2$, satisfy certain recurrence relations which allow us to write them in terms of zeta values, polylogarithms and $\ln 2$. Moreover, we also prove that the multiple zeta values $ζ( {\bar 1,{\left\{ 1 \right\}_{m - 1}},3,{\left\{ 1 \right\}_{k - 1}}} )$ can be expressed as a rational linear combination of products of zeta values, multiple polylogarithms and $\ln 2$ when $m=k\in \mathbb{N}$. Furthermore, we also obtain reductions for certain multiple polylogarithmic values at $\frac {1}{2}$.

Protonation enhancement by dichloromethane doping in low-pressure photoionization

Doping has been used to enhance the ionization efficiency of analytes in atmospheric pressure photoionization, which is based on charge exchange. Compounds with excellent ionization efficiencies are usually chosen as dopants. In this paper, we report a new phenomenon observed in low-pressure photoionization: Protonation enhancement by dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) doping. CH2Cl2 is not a common dopant due to its high ionization energy (11.33 eV). The low-pressure photoionization source was built using a krypton VUV lamp that emits photons with energies of 10.0 and 10.6 eV and was operated at 500-1000 Pa. Protonation of water, methanol, ethanol, and acetaldehyde was respectively enhanced by 481.7 +/- 122.4, 197.8 +/- 18.8, 87.3 +/- 7.8, and 93.5 +/- 35.5 times after doping 291 ppmv CH2Cl2, meanwhile CH2Cl2 almost does not generate noticeable ions itself. This phenomenon has not been documented in the literature. A new protonation process involving in ion-pair and H-bond formations was proposed to expound the phenomenon. The observed phenomenon opens a new prospect for the improvement of the detection efficiency of VUV photoionization.
