A mixed multifractal analysis for quasi Ahlfors vector-valued measures

The multifractal formalism for measures in its original formulation is checked for special classes of measures such as doubling, self-similar, and Gibbs-like ones. Out of these classes, suitable conditions should be taken into account to prove the validity of the multifractal formalism. In the present work, a large class of measures satisfying a weak condition known as quasi Ahlfors is considered in the framework of mixed multifractal analysis. A joint multifractal analysis of finitely many quasi Ahlfors probability measures is developed. Mixed variants of multifractal generalizations of Hausdorff and packing measures, and corresponding dimensions are introduced. By applying convexity arguments, some properties of these measures and dimensions are established. Finally, an associated multifractal formalism is introduced and proved to hold for the class of quasi Ahlfors measures.

A quantum wavelet uncertainty principle

The aim of this paper is to derive a new uncertainty principle for the generalized $q$-Bessel wavelet transform studied earlier in \cite{Rezguietal}. In this paper, an uncertainty principle associated with wavelet transforms in the $q$-calculus framework has been established. A two-parameters extension of the classical Bessel operator is applied to generate a wavelet function which is exploited next to explore a wavelet uncertainty principle already in the $q$-calculus framework.

Mixed multifractal densities for quasi-Ahlfors vector-valued measures

In the present work, some density estimations associated with vector-valued quasi-Ahlfors measures are developed within the mixed multifractal analysis framework. The principle idea based on the fact that being quasi-Ahlfors is sufficient to conduct a mixed multifractal analysis for vector-valued measures. In the present work, we introduced a multifractal density for finitely many measures and showed that such density may be estimated well by means of the mixed multifractal measures. Such estimation induces an exact computation of the multifractal spectrum of the vector-valued quasi-Ahlfors measure.

Lyapunov-Sylvester Computational Method for Two-Dimensional Boussinesq Equation

A numerical method is developed leading to algebraic systems based on generalized Lyapunov-Sylvester operators to approximate the solution of two-dimensional Boussinesq equation. It consists of an order reduction method and a finite difference discretization. It is proved to be uniquely solvable, stable and convergent by using Lyapunov criterion and manipulating Lyapunov-Sylvester operators. Some numerical implementations are provided at the end of the paper to validate the theoretical results.

Lyapunov-Sylvester operators for Kuramoto-Sivashinsky Equation

A numerical method is developed leading to algebraic systems based on generalized Lyapunov-Sylvester operators to approximate the solution of two-dimensional Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation. It consists of an order reduction method and a finite difference discretization which is proved to be uniquely solvable, stable and convergent by using Lyapunov criterion and manipulating generalized Lyapunov-Sylvester operators. Some numerical implementations are provided at the end to validate the theoretical results.

Lyapunov-Sylvester Operators for Numerical Solutions of NLS Equation

In the present paper a numerical method is developed to approximate the solution of two-dimensional NLS equation in the presence of a singular potential. The method leads to Lyapunov-Syslvester algebraic operators that are shown to be invertible using original topological and differential calculus issued methods. The numerical scheme is proved to be consistent, convergent and stable using the based on Lyapunov criterion, lax equivalence theorem and the properties of the Lyapunov-Syslvester operators.

A dynamic hybrid model based on wavelets and fuzzy regression for time series estimation

In the present paper, a fuzzy logic based method is combined with wavelet decomposition to develop a step-by-step dynamic hybrid model for the estimation of financial time series. Empirical tests on fuzzy regression, wavelet decomposition as well as the new hybrid model are conducted on the well known $SP500$ index financial time series. The empirical tests show an efficiency of the hybrid model.

Lyapunov Computational Method for Two-Dimensional Boussinesq Equation

A numerical method is developed leading to Lyapunov operators to approximate the solution of two-dimensional Boussinesq equation. It consists of an order reduction method and a finite difference discretization. It is proved to be uniquely solvable and analyzed for local truncation error for consistency. The stability is checked by using Lyapunov criterion and the convergence is studied. Some numerical implementations are provided at the end of the paper to validate the theoretical results.

Wavelet-Based Prediction for Governance, Diversification and Value Creation Variables

We study the possibility of completing data bases of a sample of governance, diversification and value creation variables by providing a well adapted method to reconstruct the missing parts in order to obtain a complete sample to be applied for testing the ownership-structure/diversification relationship. It consists of a dynamic procedure based on wavelets. A comparison with Neural Networks, the most used method, is provided to prove the efficiency of the here-developed one. The empirical tests are conducted on a set of French firms.
