New ultralight scalar particles and the mass-radius relation of white dwarfs -- the important role of Sirius B

We present the equation of state for two classes of new ultralight particles, a scalar field coupling to electrons and a light $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ QCD axion field coupling to nucleons. Both are potential candidates for dark matter. Using the scalar modified equations of state, we calculate models for white dwarf stars and compare their radii and masses with observed mass-radius data. The comparison results in stringent constraints on the masses of the particles and the coupling parameters. For a wide range of particle masses and coupling parameters, constraints from the white dwarf equation of state surpass existing limits, outperforming also dedicated laboratory searches. The remarkable accuracy of modern white-dwarf mass-radius relation data, exemplified by Sirius B, now allows stringent tests of dense-matter physics and constraints on new particle scenarios.

Electric dipole moments at one-loop in the dimension-6 SMEFT

In this paper we present the complete expressions of the lepton and neutron electric dipole moments (EDMs) in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT), up to 1-loop and dimension-6 level and including both RG running contributions and finite corrections. The latter play a fundamental role in the cases of operators that do not renormalize the dipoles, but there are also classes of operators for which they provide an important fraction, $10-20\%$, of the total 1-loop contribution, if the new physics scale is around $Λ=5$ TeV. We present the full set of bounds on each individual Wilson coefficient contributing to the EDMs using both the current experimental constraints, as well as those from future experiments, which are expected to improve by at least an order of magnitude.

A Global View of the Off-Shell Higgs Portal

We study for the first time the collider reach on the derivative Higgs portal, the leading effective interaction that couples a pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson (pNGB) scalar Dark Matter to the Standard Model. We focus on Dark Matter pair production through an off-shell Higgs boson, which is analyzed in the vector boson fusion channel. A variety of future high-energy lepton colliders as well as hadron colliders are considered, including CLIC, a muon collider, the High-Luminosity and High-Energy versions of the LHC, and FCC-hh. Implications on the parameter space of pNGB Dark Matter are discussed. In addition, we give improved and extended results for the collider reach on the marginal Higgs portal, under the assumption that the new scalars escape the detector, as motivated by a variety of beyond the Standard Model scenarios.

RG of GR from On-shell Amplitudes

We study the renormalization group of generic effective field theories that include gravity. We follow the on-shell amplitude approach, which provides a simple and efficient method to extract anomalous dimensions avoiding complications from gauge redundancies. As an invaluable tool we introduce a modified helicity $\tilde{h}$ under which gravitons carry one unit instead of two. With this modified helicity we easily explain old and uncover new non-renormalization theorems for theories including gravitons. We provide complete results for the one-loop gravitational renormalization of a generic minimally coupled gauge theory with scalars and fermions and all orders in $M_{Pl}$, as well as for the renormalization of dimension-six operators including at least one graviton, all up to four external particles.

Runaway Relaxion from Finite Density

Finite density effects can destabilize the metastable vacua in relaxion models. Focusing on stars as nucleation seeds, we derive the conditions that lead to the formation and runaway of a relaxion bubble of a lower energy minimum than in vacuum. The resulting late-time phase transition in the universe allows us to set new constraints on the parameter space of relaxion models. We also find that similar instabilities can be triggered by the large electromagnetic fields around rotating neutron stars.

The Present and Future of Four Top Operators

We study the phenomenology of a strongly-interacting top quark at future hadron and lepton colliders, showing that the characteristic four-top contact operators give rise to the most significant effects. We demonstrate the extraordinary potential of a 100 TeV proton-proton collider to directly test such non-standard interactions in four-top production, a process that we thoroughly analyze in the same-sign dilepton and trilepton channels, and explore in the fully hadronic channel. Furthermore, high-energy electron-positron colliders, such as CLIC or the ILC, are shown to exhibit an indirect yet remarkable sensitivity to four-top operators, since these constitute, via renormalization group evolution, the leading new-physics deformations in top-quark pair production. We investigate the impact of our results on the parameter space of composite Higgs models with a strongly-coupled (right-handed) top quark, finding that four-top probes provide the best sensitivity on the compositeness scale at the future energy frontier. In addition, we investigate mild yet persisting LHC excesses in multilepton plus jets final states, showing that they can be consistently described in the effective field theory of such a new-physics scenario.

Effective Field Theory of Gravity to All Orders

We construct the general effective field theory of gravity coupled to the Standard Model of particle physics, which we name GRSMEFT. Our method allows the systematic derivation of a non-redundant set of operators of arbitrary dimension with generic field content and gravity. We explicitly determine the pure gravity EFT up to dimension ten, the EFT of a shift-symmetric scalar coupled to gravity up to dimension eight, and the operator basis for the GRSMEFT up to dimension eight. Extensions to all orders are straightforward.

Improving Sample Efficiency and Multi-Agent Communication in RL-based Train Rescheduling

We present preliminary results from our sixth placed entry to the Flatland international competition for train rescheduling, including two improvements for optimized reinforcement learning (RL) training efficiency, and two hypotheses with respect to the prospect of deep RL for complex real-world control tasks: first, that current state of the art policy gradient methods seem inappropriate in the domain of high-consequence environments; second, that learning explicit communication actions (an emerging machine-to-machine language, so to speak) might offer a remedy. These hypotheses need to be confirmed by future work. If confirmed, they hold promises with respect to optimizing highly efficient logistics ecosystems like the Swiss Federal Railways railway network.

Singlet night in Feynman-ville: one-loop matching of a real scalar

A complete one-loop matching calculation for real singlet scalar extensions of the Standard Model to the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) of dimension-six operators is presented. We compare our analytic results obtained by using Feynman diagrams to the expressions derived in the literature by a combination of the universal one-loop effective action (UOLEA) approach and Feynman calculus. After identifying contributions that have been overlooked in the existing calculations, we find that the pure diagrammatic approach and the mixed method lead to identical results. We highlight some of the subtleties involved in computing one-loop matching corrections in SMEFT.

Hypercharged Naturalness

We present an exceptional twin-Higgs model with the minimal symmetry structure for an exact implementation of twin parity along with custodial symmetry. Twin particles are mirrors of the Standard Model yet they carry hypercharge, while the photon is identified with its twin. We thoroughly explore the phenomenological signatures of hypercharged naturalness: long-lived charged particles, a colorless twin top with electric charge $2/3$ that once pair-produced, bounds via twin-color interactions and can annihilate to dileptons or a Higgs plus a photon or a $Z$, and glueballs produced from Higgs decays and twin-quarkonium annihilation that either decay displaced, or are stable on collider scales and eventually decay to diphotons. Prospects for detection of these signatures are also discussed.

Searching for supersymmetry scalelessly

In this paper we propose a scale invariant search strategy for hadronic top or bottom plus missing energy final states. We present a method which shows flat efficiencies and background rejection factors over broad ranges of parameters and masses. The resulting search can be easily recast into a limit on alternative models. We show the strength of the method in a natural SUSY setup where stop and sbottom squarks are pair produced and decay into hadronically decaying top quarks or bottom quarks and higgsinos.

Emerging Jets

In this work, we propose a novel search strategy for new physics at the LHC that utilizes calorimeter jets that (i) are composed dominantly of displaced tracks and (ii) have many different vertices within the jet cone. Such emerging jet signatures are smoking guns for models with a composite dark sector where a parton shower in the dark sector is followed by displaced decays of dark pions back to SM jets. No current LHC searches are sensitive to this type of phenomenology. We perform a detailed simulation for a benchmark signal with two regular and two emerging jets, and present and implement strategies to suppress QCD backgrounds by up to six orders of magnitude. At the 14 TeV LHC, this signature can be probed with mediator masses as large as 1.5 TeV for a range of dark pion lifetimes, and the reach is increased further at the high-luminosity LHC. The emerging jet search is also sensitive to a broad class of long-lived phenomena, and we show this for a supersymmetric model with R-parity violation. Possibilities for discovery at LHCb are also discussed.

The Flavor of the Composite Twin Higgs

The assumption of anarchic quark flavor puts serious stress on composite Higgs models: flavor bounds imply a tuning of a few per-mille (at best) in the Higgs potential. Composite twin Higgs (CTH) models significantly reduce this tension by opening up a new region of parameter space, obtained by raising the coupling among the composites close to the strong coupling limit $g_* \sim 4π$, thereby raising the scale of composites to around 10 TeV. This does not lead to large tuning in the Higgs potential since the leading quantum corrections are canceled by the twin partners (rather than the composites). We survey the leading flavor bounds on the CTH, which correspond to tree-level $ΔF=2$ four-Fermi operators from Kaluza-Klein (KK) Z exchange in the kaon system and 1-loop corrections from KK fermions to the electric dipole moment of the neutron. We provide a parametric estimate for these bounds and also perform a numeric scan of the parameter space using the complete calculation for both quantities. The results confirm our expectation that CTH models accommodate anarchic flavor significantly better than regular composite Higgs (CH) models. Our conclusions apply both to the identical and fraternal twin cases.

Boosted Higgs Shapes

The inclusive Higgs production rate through gluon fusion has been measured to be in agreement with the Standard Model (SM). We show that even if the inclusive Higgs production rate is very SM-like, a precise determination of the boosted Higgs transverse momentum shape offers the opportunity to see effects of natural new physics. These measurements are generically motivated by effective field theory arguments and specifically in extensions of the SM with a natural weak scale, like composite Higgs models and natural supersymmetry. We show in detail how a measurement at high transverse momentum of $H\to 2\ell+\mathbf{p}\!\!/_T$ via $H\to ττ$ and $H\to WW^*$ could be performed and demonstrate that it offers a compelling alternative to the $t\bar t H$ channel. We discuss the sensitivity to new physics in the most challenging scenario of an exactly SM-like inclusive Higgs cross-section.

Closing the stop gap

Light stops are a hallmark of the most natural realizations of weak-scale supersymmetry. While stops have been extensively searched for, there remain open gaps around and below the top mass, due to similarities of stop and top signals with current statistics. We propose a new fast-track avenue to improve light stop searches for R-parity conserving supersymmetry, by comparing top cross section measurements to the theoretical prediction. Stop masses below ~ 180 GeV can now be ruled out for a light neutralino. The possibility of a stop signal contaminating the top mass measurement is also briefly addressed.

Fastlim: a fast LHC limit calculator

Fastlim is a tool to calculate conservative limits on extensions of the Standard Model from direct LHC searches without performing any Monte Carlo event generation. The program reconstructs the visible cross sections from pre-calculated efficiency tables and cross section tables for simplified event topologies. As a proof of concept of the approach, we have implemented searches relevant for supersymmetric models with R-parity conservation. Fastlim takes the spectrum and coupling information of a given model point and provides, for each signal region of the implemented analyses, the visible cross sections normalised to the corresponding upper limit, reported by the experiments, as well as the exclusion $p$-value. To demonstrate the utility of the program we study the sensitivity of the recent ATLAS missing energy searches to the parameter space of natural SUSY models. The program structure allows the straight-forward inclusion of external efficiency tables and can be generalised to R-parity violating scenarios and non-SUSY models. This paper serves as a self-contained user guide, and indicates the conventions and approximations used.

Flavor and CP Invariant Composite Higgs Models

The flavor protection in composite Higgs models with partial compositeness is known to be insufficient. We explore the possibility to alleviate the tension with CP odd observables by assuming that flavor or CP are symmetries of the composite sector, broken by the coupling to Standard Model fields. One realization is that the composite sector has a flavor symmetry SU(3) or SU(3)_U x SU(3)_D which allows us to realize Minimal Flavor Violation. We show how to avoid the previously problematic tension between a flavor symmetric composite sector and electro-weak precision tests. Some of the light quarks are substantially or even fully composite with striking signals at the LHC. We discuss the constraints from recent dijet mass measurements and give an outlook on the discovery potential. We also present a different protection mechanism where we separate the generation of flavor hierarchies and the origin of CP violation. This can eliminate or safely reduce unwanted CP violating effects, realizing effectively "Minimal CP Violation" and is compatible with a dynamical generation of flavor at low scales.

Light third-generation squarks from flavour gauge messengers

We study models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking with a gauged horizontal SU(3)_F symmetry acting on the quark superfields. If SU(3)_F is broken non-supersymmetrically by F-term vacuum expectation values, the massive gauge bosons and gauginos become messengers for SUSY breaking mediation. These gauge messenger fields induce a flavour-dependent, negative contribution to the soft masses of the squarks at one loop. In combination with the soft terms from standard gauge mediation, one obtains large and degenerate first- and second-generation squark masses, while the stops and sbottoms are light. We discuss the implications of this mechanism for the superparticle spectrum and for flavour precision observables. We also provide an explicit realization in a model with simultaneous SUSY and SU(3)_F breaking.

Very boosted Higgs in gluon fusion

The Higgs production and decay rates offer a new way to probe new physics beyond the Standard Model. While dynamics aiming at alleviating the hierarchy problem generically predict deviations in the Higgs rates, the current experimental analyses cannot resolve the long- and short-distance contributions to the gluon fusion process and thus cannot access directly the coupling between the Higgs and the top quark. We investigate the production of a boosted Higgs in association with a high-transverse momentum jet as an alternative to the $t\bar{t}h$ channel to pin down this crucial coupling. Presented first in the context of an effective field theory, our analysis is then applied to models of partial compositeness at the TeV scale and of natural supersymmetry.

Constraining the dipole moments of the top quark

We investigate the direct and indirect bounds on dipole operators involving the top quark. A careful analysis shows that the experimental upper limit on the neutron electric dipole moment strongly constrains the chromo-electric dipole of the top. We improve previous bounds by two orders of magnitude. This has significant implications for new physics models and it also means that CP violation in top pair production mediated by dipole operators will not be accessible at the LHC. The CP conserving chromo-magnetic dipole moments are constrained by recent measurements of the t\bar t spectrum by the ATLAS collaboration. We also update the indirect constraints on electric and magnetic dipole moments from radiative b -> s transitions, finding that they can be considerably larger than their colored counterparts.

Strong Signatures of Right-Handed Compositeness

Right-handed light quarks could be significantly composite, yet compatible with experimental searches at the LHC and precision tests on Standard Model couplings. In these scenarios, that are motivated by flavor physics, one expects large cross sections for the production of new resonances coupled to light quarks. We study experimental strong signatures of right-handed compositeness at the LHC, and constrain the parameter space of these models with recent results by ATLAS and CMS. We show that the LHC sensitivity could be significantly improved if dedicated searches were performed, in particular in multi-jet signals.

Light non-degenerate squarks at the LHC

Experimental bounds on squarks of the first two generations assume their masses to be eightfold degenerate, and consequently constrain them to be heavier than ~ 1.4 TeV when the gluino is lighter than 2.5 TeV. The assumption of squark-mass universality is neither a direct consequence of Minimal Flavor Violation (MFV), which allows for splittings within squark generations, nor a prediction of supersymmetric alignment models, which allow for splittings between generations. We reinterpret a recent CMS multijet plus missing energy search allowing for deviations from U(2) universality, and show that the squark bounds are significantly weakened: a 400 GeV second-generation squark singlet is allowed, even with exclusive decays to a massless neutralino; and in an MFV scenario, the down-type squark singlets can be as light as 600 GeV provided the up-type singlets are pushed up to 1.8 TeV, for a 1.5 TeV gluino and decoupled doublet squarks.

The working group on electroweak measurements and searches for new physics at the Deep Inelastic Scattering 2012 workshop covered a wide range of results from the various experiments at the LHC (ATLAS, CMS, LHCb), the Tevatron (CDF, DO) and HERA (H1, ZEUS), as well as results from the BaBar, NA48/62 and OPERA collaborations. In addition, invited theoretical overviews were presented and discussed in each of the sessions. A summary of a selection of the results shown at the conference is given.

If no Higgs then what?

In the absence of a Higgs boson, the perturbative description of the Standard Model ceases to make sense above a TeV. Heavy spin-1 fields coupled to W and Z bosons can extend the validity of the theory up to higher scales. We carefully identify regions of parameter space where a minimal addition - a single spin-1 custodial SU(2) triplet resonance - allows one to retain perturbative control in all channels. Elastic scattering of longitudinal W and Z bosons alone seems to permit a very large cut-off beyond the Naive Dimensional Analysis expectation. We find however that including scattering of the spin-1 resonances then leads to an earlier onset of strong coupling. Most importantly for LHC searches, we define a self-consistent set-up with a well-defined range of validity without recourse to unitarization schemes whose physical meaning is obscure. We discuss the LHC phenomenology and the discovery reach for these electroweak resonances and mention the possibility of a nightmare scenario with no Higgs nor resonance within the LHC reach. Finally, we discuss the effects of parity breaking in the heavy resonance sector which reduces the contributions to the S parameter.

Natural SUSY Endures

The first 1/fb of LHC searches have set impressive limits on new colored particles decaying to missing energy. We address the implication of these searches for naturalness in supersymmetry (SUSY). General bottom-up considerations of natural electroweak symmetry breaking show that higgsinos, stops, and the gluino should not be too far above the weak scale. The rest of the spectrum, including the squarks of the first two generations, can be heavier and beyond the current LHC reach. We have used collider simulations to determine the limits that all of the 1/fb searches pose on higgsinos, stops, and the gluino. We find that stops and the left-handed sbottom are starting to be constrained and must be heavier than about 200-300 GeV when decaying to higgsinos. The gluino must be heavier than about 600-800 GeV when it decays to stops and sbottoms. While these findings point toward scenarios with a lighter third generation split from the other squarks, we do find that moderately-tuned regions remain, where the gluino is just above 1 TeV and all the squarks are degenerate and light. Among all the searches, jets plus missing energy and same-sign dileptons often provide the most powerful probes of natural SUSY. Overall, our results indicate that natural SUSY has survived the first 1/fb of data. The LHC is now on the brink of exploring the most interesting region of SUSY parameter space.

Rare and CP-Violating K and B Decays in the Littlest Higgs Model with T-Parity

We calculate the most interesting rare and CP-violating K and B decays in the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity. We give a collection of Feynman rules including v^2/f^2 contributions that are presented here for the first time and could turn out to be useful also for applications outside flavour physics. We adopt a model-independent parameterization of rare decays in terms of the gauge independent functions X_i,Y_i,Z_i (i=K,d,s), which is in particular useful for the study of the breaking of the universality between K, B_d and B_s systems through non-MFV interactions. Performing the calculation in the unitary and 't Hooft-Feynman gauge, we find that the final result contains a divergence which signals some sensitivity to the ultraviolet completion of the theory. Including an estimate of this contribution, we calculate the branching ratios for the decays $K^+\toπ^+ν\barν$, $K_L\toπ^0ν\barν$, $B_{s,d}\to μ^+μ^-$, $B\to X_{s,d}ν\barν$, $K_L \toπ^0\ell^+\ell^-$ and $B\to X_{s,d}\ell^+\ell^-$, paying particular attention to non-MFV contributions present in the model. Imposing all available constraints we find that the decay rates for $B_{s,d} \to μ^+ μ^-$ and $B \to X_{s,d} ν\bar ν$ can be enhanced by at most 50% and 35% relative to the SM values, while $Br(K^+\toπ^+ν\barν)$ and $Br(K_L\toπ^0ν\barν)$ can be both as high as $5 \cdot 10^{-10}$. Significant enhancements of the decay rates $K_L \toπ^0\ell^+\ell^-$ are also possible. Simultaneously, the CP-asymmetries $S_{ψϕ}$ and $A^s_\text{SL}$ can be enhanced by an order of magnitude, while the electroweak penguin effects in $B \to πK$ turn out to be small, in agreement with the recent data.

Flavor Alignment via Shining in RS

We present a class of warped extra dimensional models whose flavor violating interactions are much suppressed compared to the usual anarchic case due to flavor alignment. Such suppression can be achieved in models where part of the global flavor symmetry is gauged in the bulk and broken in a controlled manner. We show that the bulk masses can be aligned with the down type Yukawa couplings by an appropriate choice of bulk flavon field representations and TeV brane dynamics. This alignment could reduce the flavor violating effects to levels which allow for a Kaluza-Klein scale as low as 2-3 TeV, making the model observable at the LHC. However, the up-type Yukawa couplings on the IR brane, which are bounded from below by recent bounds on CP violation in the D system, induce flavor misalignment radiatively. Off-diagonal down-type Yukawa couplings and kinetic mixings for the down quarks are both consequences of this effect. These radiative Yukawa corrections can be reduced by raising the flavon VEV on the IR brane (at the price of some moderate tuning), or by extending the Higgs sector. The flavor changing effects from the radiatively induced Yukawa mixing terms are at around the current upper experimental bounds. We also show the generic bounds on UV-brane induced flavor violating effects, and comment on possible additional flavor violations from bulk flavor gauge bosons and the bulk Yukawa scalars.

Another Look at Minimal Lepton Flavour Violation, l_i -> l_j gamma, Leptogenesis, and the Ratio M_nu/ Lambda_LFV

We analyze lepton flavour violation (LFV), as well as generation of the observed baryon-antibaryon asymmetry of the Universe (BAU) within a generalized minimal lepton flavour violation (MLFV) framework where we allow for CP violation both at low and high energies. The generation of BAU is obtained through radiative resonant leptogenesis (RRL), where starting with three exactly degenerate right-handed neutrinos at Lambda_GUT, we demonstrate explicitly within the SM and the MSSM that the splittings between their masses at the see-saw scale M_nu, generated by renormalization group effects, are sufficient for a successful leptogenesis for M_nu even as low as 10^6 GeV. The inclusion of flavour effects plays an important role in this result and can lead to the observed BAU even in the absence of CP violation beyond the PMNS phases. The absence of a stringent lower bound on M_nu in this type of leptogenesis allows to easily satisfy present and near future upper bounds on mu -> e gamma and other charged lepton flavour violating (LFV) processes even for Lambda_LFV = O(1 TeV). We find, that the MLFV framework in the presence of heavy right-handed neutrinos and leptogenesis is not as predictive as MFV in the quark sector and point out that without a specific MLFV model, there is a rich spectrum of possibilities for charged LFV processes and for their correlation with low energy neutrino physics and the LHC physics, even if the constraint from the observed BAU is taken into account. While certain qualitative features of our analysis confirm findings of Cirigliano et al., at the quantitative level we find phenomenologically important differences. We explain the origin of these differences.

Upper Bounds on Rare K and B Decays from Minimal Flavour Violation

We study the branching ratios of rare K and B decays in models with minimal flavour violation, using the presently available information from the universal unitarity triangle analysis and from the measurements of Br(B -> X_s gamma), Br(B -> X_s l^+l^-) and Br(K^+ -> pi^+ nu nubar). We find the following upper bounds: Br(K^+ -> pi^+ nu nubar)< 11.9 10^{-11}, Br(K_L -> pi^0 nu nubar)< 4.6 10^{-11}, Br(K_L -> mu mubar)_{SD}< 1.4 10^{-9}, Br(B -> X_s nu nubar)< 5.2 10^{-5}, Br(B -> X_d nu nubar)< 2.2 10^{-6}, Br(B_s -> mu mubar)< 7.4 10^{-9}, Br(B_d -> mu mubar)< 2.2 10^{-10} at 95 % probability. We analyze in detail various possible scenarios with positive or negative interference of Standard Model and New Physics contributions, and show how an improvement of experimental data corresponding to the projected 2010 B factory integrated luminosities will allow to disentangle and test these different possibilities. Finally, anticipating that subsequently the leading role in constraining this kind of new physics will be taken over by the rare decays K^+ -> pi^+ nu nubar, K_L -> pi^0 nu nubar and B_{s,d} -> mu mubar, that are dominated by the Z^0 -penguin function C, we also present plots for several branching ratios as functions of C . We point out an interesting triple correlation between K^+ -> pi^+ nu nubar, B -> X_s gamma and B -> X_s l^+l^- present in MFV models.

The Impact of Universal Extra Dimensions on B -> X_s gamma, B -> X_s gluon, B -> X_s mu^+ mu^-, K_L -> pi^0 e^ +e^-, and epsilon'/epsilon

We calculate the contributions of the Kaluza-Klein (KK) modes to the gamma-penguins, gluon-penguins, gamma-magnetic penguins and chromomagnetic penguins in the Appelquist, Cheng and Dobrescu (ACD) model with one universal extra dimension. Together with our previous calculation of Z^0 penguin diagrams (See http://arxiv.org/abs/hep-ph/0212143) this allows to study the impact of the KK modes on the decays B -> X_s gamma, B -> X_s gluon, B -> X_s mu^+ mu^- and K_L -> pi^0 e^+ e^- and on the CP-violating ratio epsilon'/epsilon. For the compactification scale 1/R= 300 GeV the perturbative part of the branching ratio for B -> X_s mu^+ mu^- is enhanced by 12 % while the zero in the A_FB asymmetry is shifted from \hat s_0=0.162 to \hat s_0=0.142. The sizable suppressions of Br(B -> X_s gamma) ~ 20 % and Br(B -> X_s gluon) ~ 40 % could have interesting phenomenological implications on the lower bound on 1/R provided the experimental and theoretical uncertainties will be decreased. Similar comments apply to epsilon'/epsilon that is suppressed relative to the Standard Model expectations with the size of the suppression depending sensitively on the hadronic matrix elements. The impact on K_L -> pi^0 e^+ e^- is below 10 %. We point out a correlation between the zero \hat s_0 in the A_FB asymmetry and Br(B -> X_s gamma) that should be valid in most models with minimal flavour violation.
