Coincidences between Calabi-Yau manifolds of Berglund-Hubsch type and Batyrev polytopes

In this article, we consider the phenomenon of complete coincidence of the key properties of pairs of Calabi-Yau manifolds realized as hypersurfaces in two different weighted projective spaces. More precisely, the first manifold in such a pair is realized as a hypersurface in a weighted projective space, and the second as a hypersurface in the orbifold of another weighted projective space. The two manifolds in each pair have the same Hodge numbers and special Kähler geometry on the complex structure moduli space and are associated with the same N=2N=2 gauge linear sigma model. We give the explanation of this interesting coincidence using the Batyrev's correspondence between Calabi-Yau manifolds and the reflexive polyhedra.

On the equivalence of Batyrev and BHK Mirror symmetry constructions

We consider the connection between two constructions of the mirror partner for the Calabi-Yau orbifold. This orbifold is defined as a quotient by some suitable subgroup GG of the phase symmetries of the hypersurface XM X_M in the weighted projective space, cut out by a quasi-homogeneous polynomial WMW_M. The first, Berglund-Hübsch-Krawitz (BHK) construction, uses another weighted projective space and the quotient of a new hypersurface XMTX_{M^T} inside it by some dual group GTG^T. In the second, Batyrev construction, the mirror partner is constructed as a hypersurface in the toric variety defined by the reflexive polytope dual to the polytope associated with the original Calabi-Yau orbifold. We give a simple evidence of the equivalence of these two constructions.

Partition functions of N=(2,2)\mathcal{N}=(2,2) supersymmetric sigma models and Special geometry for the two-moduli non-Fermat Calabi-Yau manifold

We study the new case of the application of the JKLMR conjecture on the connection between the exact partition functions of N=(2,2)\mathcal{N}=(2,2) supersymmetric gauged linear sigma models (GLSM) on S2S^2 and special Kähler geometry on the moduli spaces of Calabi-Yau manifold YY. The last ones arise as manifolds of the supersymmetric vacua of the GLSM. We establish this correspondence using the Mirror symmetry in Batyrev's approach. Namely, starting from the two-moduli non-Fermat Calabi-Yau manifold XX we construct the dual GLSM with the supersymmetric vacua YY, which is the mirror for XX. Knowing the special geometry on the complex moduli space of XX we verify the mirror version of the JKLMR conjecture by explicit computation.

On exact solution of topological CFT models based on Kazama-Suzuki cosets

We compute the flat coordinates on the Frobenius manifolds arising on the deformation space of Gepner SU^(3)k\hat{SU}(3)_k chiral rings. The explicit form of the flat coordinates is important for exact solutions of models of topological CFT and 2d Liouville gravity. We describe the case k=3, which is of particular interest because apart from the relevant chiral fields it contains a marginal one. Whereas marginal perturbations are relevant in different contexts, their analysis requires additional care compared to the relevant perturbations.

N = 2 superconformal algebra in NSR string and Gepner approach to space-time supersymmetry in ten dimensions

The fermionic NSR string possesses a hidden N = 2 superconformal algebra on the world-sheet. In this work, we show how to use an isomorphism of this algebra, the so-called spectral flow, for construction of a subspace of physical states of the string, on which space-time supersymmetry acts. This construction is an alternative to the GSO-projection in string theory.

Minimal Liouville Gravity correlation numbers from Douglas string equation

We continue the study of (q,p)(q,p) Minimal Liouville Gravity with the help of Douglas string equation. We generalize the results of \cite{Moore:1991ir}, \cite{Belavin:2008kv}, where Lee-Yang series (2,2s+1)(2,2s+1) was studied, to (3,3s+p0)(3,3s+p_0) Minimal Liouville Gravity, where p0=1,2p_0=1,2. We demonstrate that there exist such coordinates τm,nτ_{m,n} on the space of the perturbed Minimal Liouville Gravity theories, in which the partition function of the theory is determined by the Douglas string equation. The coordinates τm,nτ_{m,n} are related in a non-linear fashion to the natural coupling constants λm,nλ_{m,n} of the perturbations of Minimal Lioville Gravity by the physical operators Om,nO_{m,n}. We find this relation from the requirement that the correlation numbers in Minimal Liouville Gravity must satisfy the conformal and fusion selection rules. After fixing this relation we compute three- and four-point correlation numbers when they are not zero. The results are in agreement with the direct calculations in Minimal Liouville Gravity available in the literature \cite{Goulian:1990qr}, \cite{Zamolodchikov:2005sj}, \cite{Belavin:2006ex}.

Generalized Rogers Ramanujan Identities from AGT Correspondence

AGT correspondence and its generalizations attracted a great deal of attention recently. In particular it was suggested that U(r)U(r) instantons on R4/ZpR^4/Z_p describe the conformal blocks of the coset A(r,p)=U(1)×sl(p)r×sl(r)p×sl(r)nsl(r)n+p{\cal A}(r,p)=U(1)\times sl(p)_r\times {sl(r)_p\times sl(r)_n\over sl(r)_{n+p}}, where nn is a parameter. Our purpose here is to describe Generalized Rogers Ramanujan (GRR) identities for these cosets, which expresses the characters as certain qq series. We propose that such identities exist for the coset A(r,p){\cal A}(r,p) for all positive integers nn and all rr and pp. We treat here the case of n=1n=1 and r=2r=2, finding GRR identities for all the characters.

N=1 superconformal blocks with Ramond fields from AGT correspondence

We use AGT correspondence between N=2 SUSY Yang-Mills theory on R4/Z2{\mathbb R}^4/{\mathbb Z}_2 and two-dimensional CFT model with the algebra H⊕sl^(2)2⊕NSR {\cal H} \oplus \hat{sl}(2)_2 \oplus \text{NSR} to obtain the explicit expressions for 4-point NSR conformal blocks including Ramond fields in terms of Nekrasov partition functions and correlation functions of sl^(2)2\hat{sl}(2)_2 WZW model.
