Doubly Charged Lepton Search Potential of the FCC-Based Energy-Frontier Electron-Proton Colliders

We search for the doubly charged leptons (L−−L^{--}) predicted in composite models including extended weak isospin multiplets namely, IW=1I_{W}=1 and IW=3/2I_{W}=3/2 at the Future Circular Collider (FCC)-based energy-frontier electron-proton colliders with the center-of-mass energies of s=3.46\sqrt{s}=3.46 TeV, s=10\sqrt{s}=10 TeV, and s=31.6\sqrt{s}=31.6 TeV, respectively. We deal with the e−p→L−−X→e−W−Xe^{-}p\rightarrow L^{--}X\rightarrow e^{-}W^{-}X process, calculate the production cross sections and give the normalized transverse momentum and pseudorapiditiy distributions of final state electron to obtain the kinematical cuts for the discovery. We show the statistical significance (SSSS) of the expected signal yield as a function of doubly charged lepton mass (SS−MLSS-M_{L} plots) to attain the doubly charged lepton discovery mass limits both for the IW=1I_{W}=1 and IW=3/2I_{W}=3/2. It is obtained that discovery mass limits on the mass of doubly charged lepton for IW=1I_{W}=1 (IW=3/2I_{W}=3/2) are, 2.21 (2.73)2.21\,(2.73) TeV, 5.46 (8.47)5.46\,(8.47) TeV, and 12.9 (20.0)12.9\,(20.0) TeV for s=3.46\sqrt{s}=3.46 TeV, s=10\sqrt{s}=10 TeV, and s=31.6\sqrt{s}=31.6 TeV, respectively.

Search for excited spin-3/2 neutrinos at LHeC

We study the potential of the next epep collider, namely LHeC, with two options s=1.3\sqrt{s}=1.3 TeV s=1.98\sqrt{s}=1.98 TeV, to search for excited spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 neutrinos. We calculate the single production cross section of excited spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 neutrinos according to their effective currents describing their interactions between gauge bosons and SM leptons. We choose the ν⋆→eWν^{\star}\rightarrow eW decay mode of excited neutrinos and W→jjW\rightarrow jj decay mode of WW-boson for the analysis. We put some kinematical cuts for the final state detectable particles and plot the invariant mass distributions for signal and the corresponding backgrounds. In order to obtain accessible limits for excited neutrino couplings, we show the f−f′f-f^{\prime} and ciV−ciAc_{iV}-c_{iA} contour plots for excited spin-1/2 and excited spin-3/2 neutrinos, respectively.

Single production of excited spin-3/2 neutrinos at linear colliders

We study the potential of future high energy e+e- colliders to probe excited neutrino signals in different channels coming from the single production process via gauge interactions. We calculate the production cross section, decay widths and branching ratios of excited spin-3/2 neutrinos according to their effective currents and we compare them with that of the spin-1/2 ones. The signals and corresponding backgrounds are examined in detail to get accessible limits on the masses and couplings of excited spin-3/2 neutrinos.
