Some families of generalized Mathieu-type power series, associated probability distributions and related functional inequalities involving complete monotonicity and log-convexity

By making use of the familiar Mathieu series and its generalizations, the authors derive a number of new integral representations and present a systematic study of probability density functions and probability distributions associated with some generalizations of the Mathieu series. In particular, the mathematical expectation, variance and the characteristic functions, related to the probability density functions of the considered probability distributions are derived. As a consequence, some interesting inequalities involving complete monotonicity and log-convexity are derived.

Fractional Helmholtz and fractional wave equations with Riesz-Feller and generalized Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives

The objective of this paper is to derive analytical solutions of fractional order Laplace, Poisson and Helmholtz equations in two variables derived from the corresponding standard equations in two dimensions by replacing the integer order partial derivatives with fractional Riesz-Feller derivative and generalized Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative recently defined by Hilfer. The Fourier-Laplace transform method is employed to obtain the solutions in terms of Mittag-Leffler functions, Fox $H$-function and an integral operator containing a Mittag-Leffler function in the kernel. Results for fractional wave equation are presented as well. Some interesting special cases of these equations are considered. Asymptotic behavior and series representation of solutions are analyzed in detail. Many previously obtained results can be derived as special cases of those presented in this paper.

Hilfer-Prabhakar Derivatives and Some Applications

We present a generalization of Hilfer derivatives in which Riemann--Liouville integrals are replaced by more general Prabhakar integrals. We analyze and discuss its properties. Further, we show some applications of these generalized Hilfer-Prabhakar derivatives in classical equations of mathematical physics, like the heat and the free electron laser equations, and in difference-differential equations governing the dynamics of generalized renewal stochastic processes.
