Thermal entanglement properties of N-qubit quantum Heisenberg chain in a two-component magnetic field

We elucidate the finite temperature entanglement properties of $N=9$ qubits Heisenberg $XX$ and $XXZ$ models under the presence of a polarized magnetic field in $xz$ plane by means of concurrence concept. We perform a systematic analysis for a wide range of the system parameters. Our results suggest that the global phase regions which separate the entangled and non-entangled regions sensitively depend upon the spin-spin interaction term of the $z-$ component of two neighboring spins $J_{z}/J_{x}$, temperature as well as polarized magnetic field components. Thereby, we think that polarized magnetic field can be used a control parameter to determine the amount of thermal entanglement between pair of qubits for different temperatures and spin-spin interaction terms. Moreover, it has been found that the nearest-neighbor pair of qubits does not point out a re-entrant type entanglement character when one only deals with the nearest-neighbor pair of qubits. However, as one considers next-nearest neighbor pair of qubits, it is possible to see the evidences of re-entrant type entanglement behaviors.

Critical behavior and universality properties of uniaxial ferromagnetic thin films in the presence of random magnetic fields

Critical phenomena in uniaxial ferromagnetic thin films in the presence of random magnetic fields have been studied within the framework of effective field theory. When the type of the random field distribution is bimodal, the system exhibits tricritical behavior. Furthermore, the critical value of surface to bulk ratio of exchange interactions at which the transition temperature becomes independent of film thickness is insensitive to the presence of disorder whether the distribution is bimodal or trimodal. Regarding the universality properties, neither $p$, nor $h$ variations in the system can affect the value of the shift exponent $λ$. In this regard, it can be concluded that pure ferromagnetic thin films are in the same universality class with those under the influence of random discrete magnetic fields.

Thickness dependent Curie temperature and power-law behavior of layering transitions in ferromagnetic classical and quantum thin films described by Ising, XY and Heisenberg models

Ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transitions in classical and quantum thin films have been studied up to 50 mono-layers using effective field theory with two-site cluster approximation. Variation of the Curie temperature as a function of film thickness has been examined. The relative shift of the Curie temperature from the corresponding bulk value has been investigated in terms of the shift exponent $λ$. We have found that shift exponent $λ$ clearly depends on the strength of the ferromagnetic exchange coupling of the surface. Moreover, we have not observed any significant difference between classical and quantum exponents for a particular model.

Monte Carlo simulations of dynamic phase transitions in ultrathin Blume-Capel films

Dynamic phase transition phenomena in ultrathin films described by Blume-Capel model have been investigated using Monte Carlo simulations. Hysteresis loops, micromagnetic structures, and hysteresis loop area curves, as well as dynamic correlation between the magnetization and the external field have been studied as functions of the field, as well as the film parameters. The variation of critical coupling of the modified film surface at which the transition temperature becomes independent of film thickness have been clarified for varying system parameters. Frequency dispersion of hysteresis loop area have been found to obey a power law for low and moderate frequencies for both ordinary and enhanced surfaces.

Universality Aspects of Layering Transitions in Ferromagnetic Blume-Capel Thin Films

Critical phenomena and universality behavior of ferromagnetic thin films described by a spin-1 Blume-Capel Hamiltonian has been examined for various thickness values ranging from 3 to 40 layers. Using effective field theory, we have found that crystal field interactions significantly affects the critical value of surface to bulk ratio of exchange interactions $R_{c}$ at which the critical temperature becomes independent of film thickness $L$. Moreover, we have extracted the shift exponent $λ$ from computed data. Based on the results, we have shown that in the presence of surface exchange enhancement, the system may exhibit a dimensional crossover. We have also found that presence of crystal field interactions does not affect the value of $λ$. Hence, a ferromagnetic spin-1/2 thin film is in the same universality class with its spin-1 counterpart.

Dynamic phase transition properties and hysteretic behavior of a ferrimagnetic core-shell nanoparticle in the presence of a time dependent magnetic field

We have presented dynamic phase transition features and stationary-state behavior of a ferrimagnetic small nanoparticle system with a core-shell structure. By means of detailed Monte Carlo simulations, a complete picture of the phase diagrams and magnetization profiles have been presented and the conditions for the occurrence of a compensation point $T_{comp}$ in the system have been investigated. According to Néel nomenclature, the magnetization curves of the particle have been found to obey P-type, N-type and Q-type classification schemes under certain conditions. Much effort has been devoted to investigation of hysteretic response of the particle and we observed the existence of triple hysteresis loop behavior which originates from the existence of a weak ferromagnetic core coupling $J_{c}/J_{sh}$, as well as a strong antiferromagnetic interface exchange interaction $J_{int}/J_{sh}$. Most of the calculations have been performed for a particle in the presence of oscillating fields of very high frequencies and high amplitudes in comparison with exchange interactions which resembles a magnetic system under the influence of ultrafast switching fields. Particular attention has also been paid on the influence of the particle size on the thermal and magnetic properties, as well as magnetic features such as coercivity, remanence and compensation temperature of the particle. We have found that in the presence of ultrafast switching fields, the particle may exhibit a dynamic phase transition from paramagnetic to a dynamically ordered phase with increasing ferromagnetic shell thickness.

Investigation of oscillation frequency and disorder induced dynamic phase transitions in a quenched-bond diluted Ising ferromagnet

Frequency evolutions of hysteresis loop area and hysteresis tools such as remanence and coercivity of a kinetic Ising model in the presence of quenched bond dilution are investigated in detail. The kinetic equation describing the time dependence of the magnetization is derived by means of effective-field theory with single-site correlations. It is found that the frequency dispersions of hysteresis loop area, remanence and coercivity strongly depend on the quenched bond randomness, as well as applied field amplitude and oscillation frequency. In addition, the shape of the hysteresis curves for a wide variety of Hamiltonian parameters is studied and some interesting behaviors are found. Finally, a comparison of our observations with those of recently published studies is represented and it is shown that there exists a qualitatively good agreement.

An introduced effective-field theory study of spin-1 transverse Ising model with crystal field anisotropy in a longitudinal magnetic field

A spin-1 transverse Ising model with longitudinal crystal field in a longitudinal magnetic field is examined by introducing an effective field approximation (IEFT) which includes the correlations between different spins that emerge when expanding the identities. The effects of the crystal field as well as the transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields on the thermal and magnetic properties of the spin system are discussed in detail. The order parameters, Helmholtz free energy and entropy curves are calculated numerically as functions of the temperature and Hamiltonian parameters. A number of interesting phenomena such as reentrant phenomena originating from the temperature, crystal field, transverse and longitudinal magnetic fields have been found.
