Quality of Control in the Tavis-Cummings-Hubbard Model

The quality of controlling a system of optical cavities in the Tavis-Cummings-Hubbard (TCH) model is estimated with the examples of quantum gates, quantum walks on graphs, and of the detection of singlet states. This type of control of complex systems is important for quantum computing, for the optical interpretation of mechanical movements, and for quantum cryptography, where singlet states of photons and charges play an essential role. It has been found that the main reason for the decrease of the control quality in the THC model is due to the finite width of the atomic spectral lines, which is itself related to the time energy uncertainty relation. This paper evaluates the quality of a CSign-type quantum gate based on asynchronous atomic excitations and on the optical interpretation of the motion of a free particle.

Quantum revivals of non Rabi type in Jaynes-Cummings model

We studied full revivals of quantum states in the Jaynes-Cannings model. It is proved that in the case of zero detuning in subspaces generated by two adjacent pairs of energy levels, full revival of the subspace does not exist for any values of the parameters. In the case of non-zero detuning on the contrary, the set of parameters that allows full revival of such subspaces is dense as the subset of all parameters. The nature of these revivals differs from Rabi oscillations in subspaces of a single pair of energy. In more complex subspaces the presence of full revival is reduced to particular cases of 10-th Hilbert problem for rational solutions of systems of nonlinear algebraic equations, which has no algorithmic solution in general case.

Reliability of optical gate array for C-Sign operator

We study optical gate array of KLM model of quantum computer for C-Sign operator, which contains linear elements and two nonlinear phase shifts. Linear elements and photon counting are taken to be ideal, whereas nonlinear phase shifts are subject of realistic and unavoidable factors of decoherence: the immediate photon leak from cavities and mediated leakage with the atom, which flies out of the cavity and plays the role of ancilla. We use JC model with Lindblad master equation to estimate the dependence of the validity of C-Sign operator from the rate of photon leak and estimate the limitation, which this validity imposes to quantum computations.

Dynamic diffusion as approximation of quantum behavior

The approximation of quantum unitary dynamics of a particle by a swarm of point wise classical samples of this particle is proposed. Quantum mechanism of speedup rests on the creation and annihilation of absolutely rigid bons, which join samples in dot wise symplexes so that the density of swarm approximate the quantum probability. This mechanism does not require differentiation of a density that is adventage of this method over Bohm's quantum hydrodynamics: our method is applicable to many particles in entangled states. In multi particle case the limitation of total number of samples gives the natural model of decoherence, e.g. the divergency from the exact solution of Shredinger equation. Intensity of creation - annihilation of bonds between samples substantially depends on the grain of spatial resolution, which makes impossible to pass to the limits as in a classical substance; this is the price for the scalability of a model to many particles.

Simulation of quantum interference by reactions of chemical type

A quantum unitary evolution alternated with measurements is simulated by a bubble filled with fictitious particles called amplitude quanta that move chaotically and can be transformed by the simple rules that look like chemical reactions. A basic state of simulated system is treated as a collision of the two corresponding amplitude quanta, that gives the quantum statistics of measurements. The movement of the external membrane of the bubble corresponds to the classical dynamics of the simulated system. Measurements are treated as the membrane perforations and they are completely determined by initial conditions. An identity of particles and an entanglement is simulated by the membranes touching. The required memory grows linearly where the number of particles increases, but entangled states of the big number of particles can be simulated. The method can be used for a visualization of quantum dynamics.
