Electromagnetic and gravitational form factors of $Δ$ resonance in a covariant quark-diquark approach

In this work, the electromagnetic and gravitational form factors of a spin-$3/2$ particle, $Δ$ resonance, are simultaneously calculated with the help of a relativistic covariant quark-diquark approach. The two kinds of form factors are separately extracted from the matrix elements of the electromagnetic current and of the energy-momentum tensor of the system. Our numerical results show that the approach can well reproduce the electromagnetic monopole, dipole, quadrupole, and octupole form factors comparing to the Lattice calculations. Our obtained electromagnetic moments are also comparable with some other approaches. Moreover, the obtained gravitational form factors, which give the mechanical properties of the system like the mass and spin distributions, are also displayed for the $Δ$ isobar. In addition, some discussions of the sign and the interpretation of the D-term are particularly given.

Generalized parton distributions in spin-3/2 particles

Generalized parton distribution functions (GPDs) of spin-3/2 particles are defined for the first time in this paper. Eight unpolarized and eight polarized GPDs are found. In the forward limit of GPDs, the structure functions and parton distribution functions are obtained. Then, the sum rules that connect the GPDs with the electromagnetic and gravitational form factors are explicitly displayed. Finally, the relations between GPDs and the helicity amplitudes of the system are derived.

Possible dibaryon production at $\bar{\rm{P}}$anda with a Lagrangian approach

In order to confirm the existence of the dibaryon state $d^*(2380)$ observed at WASA@COSY, we estimate the production of the possible dibaryon and anti-dibaryon pair $d^*\bar{d}^*$ at the energy region of the upcoming experiments at $\bar{\rm{P}}$anda. Based on some qualitative properties of $d^*$ extracted from the analysez in the non-relativistic quark model, the production cross section for this spin-3 particle pair are calculated with the help of an phenomenological effective relativistic and covariant Lagrangian approach.

Selected strong decays of pentaquark State $P_c(4312)$ in a chiral constituent quark model

The newly confirmed pentaquark state $P_c(4312)$ has been treated as a weakly bound $(Σ_c\bar{D})$ state by a well-established chiral constituent quark model and by a dynamical calculation on quark degrees of freedom where the quark exchange effect is accounted for. The obtained mass $4308$ MeV agrees with data. In this work, the selected strong decays of the $P_c(4312)$ state are studied with the obtained wave function. It is shown that the width of the $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$ decay is overwhelmed and the branching ratios of the $p\,η_c$ and $p\,J/ψ$ decays are both less than 1 percentage.

Decay width of $d^*(2380)\to NN ππ$ processes

The decay widths of four-body double-pion decays $\ds\to pn π^0π^0$, $\ds\to pn π^+π^-$, and iso-scalar parts of $\ds\to pp π^0π^-$ and $\ds\to nn π^+π^0$ are explicitly calculated with the help of the $d^*$ wave function obtained in a chiral SU(3) quark model calculation. The effect of the dynamical structure on $\ds$'s width is analyzed both in the single $ΔΔ$ channel and coupled $ΔΔ$ and $CC$ channel approximations. It is found that in the coupled-channel approximation, the obtained partial decay widths of $\ds\to pn π^0π^0$, $\ds\to pn π^+π^-$, and those of $d^*$ to the iso-scalar parts of $pp π^0π^-$ and $nn π^+π^0$ are about $7.4$MeV, $16.4$MeV, $3.5$MeV and $3.5$MeV, respectively As a consequence, the total width is about $64.5$MeV. These widths are consistent with those estimated by using the corresponding cross section data in our previous investigation and also the observed data. But in the single $ΔΔ$ channel approximation, the widths are still almost 2-times larger than the measured values. Apparently, the explicitly calculated width together with the evaluated mass of $d^*$ in the coupled $ΔΔ$ and $CC$ channel approximation can well explain the observed data, which again supports our assertion that the $\ds$ resonance is a six-quark dominated exotic state.

A study of $d^*(2380)\to d ππ$ decay width

The decay widths of the $\ds\to d π^0π^0$ and $\ds\to d π^+π^-$ processes are explicitly calculated in terms of our chiral quark model. By using the experimental ratios of cross sections between various decay channels, the partial widths of the $\ds\to pn π^0π^0$, $\ds\to pn π^+π^-$, $\ds\to pp π^0π^-$, and $\ds\to nn π^+π^0$ channels are also extracted. Further including the estimated partial width for the $\ds\to pn $ process, the total width of the $\ds$ resonance is obtained. In the first step of the practical calculation, the effect of the dynamical structure on the width of $\ds$ is studied in the single $ΔΔ$ channel approximation. It is found that the width is reduced by few tens of MeV, in comparison with the one obtained by considering the effect of the kinematics only. This presents the importance of such effect from the dynamical structure. However, the obtained width with the single $ΔΔ$ channel wave function is still too large to explain the data. It implies that the $\ds$ resonance will not consist of the $ΔΔ$ structure only, and instead there should be enough room for other structure such as the hidden-color (CC) component. Thus, in the second step, the width of $\ds$ is further evaluated by using a wave function obtained in the coupled $ΔΔ$ and CC channel calculation in the framework of the Resonating Group Method (RGM). It is shown that the resultant total width for $\ds$ is about 69 MeV, which is compatible with the experimental observation of about 75 MeV and justifies our assertion that the $\ds$ resonance is a hexaquark-dominated exotic state.

Electromagnetic $N-Δ(1232)$ transitions within the point-form of relativistic quantum mechanics

The electromagnetic $N-Δ(1232)$ transition amplitudes are calculated using the point-form of relativistic quantum mechanics. The relativistic effects incorporated in the electromagnetic matrix elements give a good description of the transition amplitudes to the $Δ(1232)$ resonance, reproducing well the $Q^2$ behaviour of the data, apart from the low $Q^2$ one.

A discussion of deuteron transverse charge densities

The deuteron transverse charge density $ρ_C(b)$ is the two-dimensional Fourier transform of its charge form factor in the impact space. We show that different parameterizations of the charge form factors provide different $ρ_C(b)$, in particular at the central value of impact parameter ($b=0$), although all the parameterizations can well reproduce the form factors in the region of small $Q^2$. In addition, we also check the explicit contributions from the different coordinate intervals of the deuteron wave function to its root-mean-square radius.

Incoherent photoproduction of $ϕ$-meson from deuteron at low energies

The LEPS and CLAS data of the incoherent photoproduction of $ϕ$ meson from deuteron at low energies are studied with a model for $ϕ$ meson photoproduction from nucleon consisting of Pomeron, $π$, and $η$ meson exchanges in the t-channel, and a postulated resonance, with parameters fitted to recent LEPS data on $ϕ$ production from proton near threshold. The resonance was introduced to explain an observed bump in the forward differential cross section. Within impulse approximation, we find that the Fermi motion, final state interaction, and the resonance excitation all give important contributions to improve the agreement with data. However, discrepancies remain. Contributions from $ϕ$ production via spectator nucleon by other mesons like $π, ρ,$ and $ϕ$ produced from the first nucleon need to be calculated in order to gain insight on the medium effects as well as the existence of the postulated nucleon resonance.

Radiative decay Y(4260) -> X(3872) + gamma involving hadronic molecular and charmonium components

We apply a phenomenological Lagrangian approach to the radiative decay Y(4260) -> X(3872) + gamma. The Y(4260) and X(3872) resonances are considered as composite states containing both molecular hadronic and charmonium components. Having a leading molecular component in the X(3872) and a sole molecular configuration for the Y(4260) results in a prediction compatible with present data.

Role of the hadron molecule Lambda_c(2940) in the p bar(p) -> p D0 bar(Lambda)_c(2286) annihilation reaction

The annihilation process p bar(p) -> p D0 bar(Lambda)_c(2286) is studied taking into account t-channel D0, D*0 meson exchange and the resonance contribution of Lambda_c(2286) and Lambda_c(2940) baryons. We assume that the Lambda_c(2940) baryon is a pD*0 molecular state with spin-parity (1/2)+ and (1/2)-. Our results show that near the threshold of p bar(p) -> Lambda_c(2286) bar(Lambda)_c(2286) the contribution from the intermediate state Lambda_c(2940) is also sizeable and can be observed at the PANDA experiment. Another conclusion is that the spin-parity assignment (1/2)- for Lambda_c(2940) gives enhancement for the cross section in comparison with a choice (1/2)+.

Selected strong decay modes of Y(4260)

In present work the Y(4260) resonance is considered as a weakly bound state of a pseudoscalar D and an axial D1 charm meson. We consider the two-body decay Y(4260) -> Zc(3900) + pi where Zc(3900) is treated as hadron molecule as well. Moreover we compute the Y(4260) decay modes J/psi pi(+) pi(-), recently observed by the BESIII Collaboration, and psi(2S) pi(+) pi(-). In the last process both the contact diagram with D D1 -> psi(nS) pi(+) pi(-) and the resonance diagram with D D1 -> Zc(3900) + pi -> psi(nS) pi(+) pi(-) are taken into account.

Deuteron electromagnetic form factors in transverse plane with a phenomenological Lagrangian approach

A phenomenological Lagrangian approach is employed to study the electromagnetic properties of deuteron. The deuteron is regarded as a loosely bound state of a proton and a neutron. The deuteron electromagnetic form factors are expressed in light-front representation in the transverse plane. The transverse charge density of the deuteron is discussed.

Strong decays of molecular states Zc(+) and Zc'(+)

The two newly observed hidden-charm mesons Zc(+)[3900] and a possible partner state Zc'(+)[3950] with quantum numbers J(P) = 1(+) are considered as hadronic molecules composed of bar(D)D* and bar(D)* D*, respectively. We give predictions for the decay widths of the strong two-body transitions Zc(+) -> H + pi(+) and Zc' -> H + pi(+) with H = Psi(nS), hc(mP) in a phenomenological Lagrangian approach.

Strong three-body decays of Lambdac(2940)+

The Lambdac(2940)+ baryon with quantum numbers J(P) = 1/2(+) is considered as a hadronic molecule composed of a nucleon and D* meson. We give predictions for the width of the strong three-body decay processes Lambdac(2940)+ to Lambdac(2286)+ pi(+) pi(-) and Lambdac(2940)+ to Lambdac(2286)+ pi(0) pi(0) in this interpretation. Upcoming experimental facilities like a Super B factory at KEK or LHCb might be able to provide data on these decay modes.

J/psi gamma and psi(2S) gamma decay modes of the X(3872)

The X(3872) with quantum numbers J(PC) = 1(++) is considered as a composite state containing both molecular hadronic and a c bar(c) component. Based on this structure assumption we first constrain model parameters in order to reproduce the predictions for the radiative decay widths of X(3872) to J/psi gamma and X(3872) to psi(2S) gamma as obtained in c bar(c) potential models. Depending on these predictions we find that further inclusion of the molecular component can in principle lead to an improved description of the radiative X(3872) decays. We also show that strong decay modes of the X(3872) and in particular the ratio of radiative (J/psi gamma) to strong (J/psi pi(+) pi(-)) decays hint towards a subleading role of the c bar(c) component in the X(3872).

Radiative decay of Lambdac(2940)+ in a hadronic molecule picture

The Lambdac(2940)+ baryon with quantum numbers J(P) = 1/2(+) is considered as a molecular state composed of a nucleon and D* meson. We give predictions for the width of the radiative decay process Lambdac(2940)+ to Lambdac(2286)+ gamma in this interpretation. Based on our results we argue that an experimental determination of the radiative decay width of Lambdac(2940)+ is important for the understanding of its intrinsic properties.

Strong two-body decays of the Lambdac(2940)+ in a hadronic molecule picture

The Lambdac(2940)+ baryon with possible quantum numbers J(P) = 1/2+ and 1/2- is studied as a molecular state composed of a nucleon and D* meson. We give predictions for the strong two-body decay channels Lambdac(2940)+ to p D0, Sigmac(++) pi(-) and Sigmac(0) pi(+) where the sum of partial widths is consistent with current data for the case of J(P) = 1/2(+). The case of J(P) = 1/2(-) is shown to be ruled out.
