Embeddings among quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}_n$

We establish an explicit embedding of a quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}_n$ into a quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1}$. This embedding serves as a common generalization of two natural, but seemingly unrelated, embeddings, one on the quantum affine Schur algebra level and the other on the non-quantum level. The embedding on the quantum affine Schur algebras is used extensively in the analysis of canonical bases of quantum affine $\mathfrak{sl}_n$ and $\mathfrak{gl}_n$. The embedding on the non-quantum level is used crucially in a work of Riche and Williamson on the study of modular representation theory of general linear groups over a finite field. The same embedding is also used in a work of Maksimau on the categorical representations of affine general linear algebras. We further provide a more natural compatibility statement of the embedding on the idempotent version with that on the quantum affine Schur algebra level. A $\mathfrak{gl}_n$-variant of the embedding is also established.

Spaltenstein varieties of pure dimension

We show that Spaltenstein varieties of classical groups are pure dimensional when the Jordan type of the nilpotent element involved is an even or odd partition. We further show that they are Lagrangian in the partial resolutions of the associated nilpotent Slodowy slices, from which their dimensions are known to be one half of the dimension of the partial resolution minus the dimension of the nilpotent orbit. The results are then extended to the $σ$-quiver-variety setting.

Geometric Schur Duality of Classical Type, II

We establish algebraically and geometrically a duality between the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of type D and two new quantum algebras arising from the geometry of N-step isotropic flag varieties of type D. This duality is a type D counterpart of the Schur-Jimbo duality of type A and the Schur-like duality of type B/C discovered by Bao-Wang. The new algebras play a role in the type D duality similar to the modified quantum gl(N) in type A, and the modified coideal subalgebras of quantum gl(N) in type B/C. We construct canonical bases for these two algebras.

An identification of Lusztig's modified forms of quantum algebras and their analogues

We introduce a multi-parameter twisted Hopf algebra associated with a root datum and show that its modified form is isomorphic to Lusztig's modified quantum algebra under certain restrictions on the parameters. By taking various specializations of the parameters, we obtain similar results for two/multi-parameter quantum algebras and Kang-Kashiwara-Oh's multi-parameter quantum superalgebras. As a consequence, the categories of weight modules of these algebras are identical.

Quantum Supergroups III. Twistors

We establish direct connections at several levels between quantum groups and supergroups associated to bar-consistent super Cartan datum by constructing an automorphism (called twistor) in the setting of covering quantum groups. The canonical bases of the halves of quantum groups and supergroups are shown to match under the twistor up to powers of a square root of -1. We further show that the modified quantum group and supergroup are isomorphic over the rational function field adjoint with a square root of -1, by constructing a twistor on the modified covering quantum group. An equivalence of categories of weight modules for quantum groups and supergroups follows.

Two-parameter quantum algebras, canonical bases and categorifications

A theory of canonical basis for a two-parameter quantum algebra is developed in parallel with the one in one-parameter case. A geometric construction of the negative part of a two-parameter quantum algebra is given by using mixed perverse sheaves and Deligne's weight theory based on Lusztig's work. A categorification of the negative part of a two-parameter quantum algebra is provided. A two-parameter quantum algebra is shown to be a two-cocycle deformation, depending only on the second parameter, of its one-parameter analogue.

Tensor product varieties, perverse sheaves and stability conditions

We show that the space spanned by the class of simple perverse sheaves in [Zh08] without localization is isomorphic to the tensor product of a Verma module with a tensor product of irreducible integrable modules of the quantum enveloping algebra associated with a graph. Under the isomorphism, the simple perverse sheaves get identified with the canonical basis elements of the tensor product module. We also show that the two stability conditions coincide in the localization process in [Zh08], by using supports and singular supports of complexes of sheaves, respectively.
