Quantum and classical correlations in Bell three and four qubits, related to Hilbert-Schmidt decomposition

The present work studies quantum and classical correlations in three qubits and four qubits general Bell states, produced by operating with braid operators on the computational basis of states. The analogies between the general three qubits and four qubits Bell states and that of two qubits Bell states are discussed. The general Bell states are shown to be maximal entangled, i.e., with quantum correlations which are lost by tracing these states over one qubit, remaining only with classical correlations, as shown by HS decomposition.

Quantum mechanical uncertainties and exact transition amplitudes for time dependent quadratic Hamiltonian

In this work we present the simplest generic form of the propagator for the time-dependent quadratic Hamiltonian. We manifest the simplicity of our method by giving explicitly the propagators for a free particle in time-dependent electric field, forced harmonic oscillator and the Paul trap. Exact transition amplitudes and uncertainties are calculated analytically for the Paul trap and harmonic oscillator. The results show that near the instability regions very large quantum mechanical uncertainties are obtained as demonstrated in a special figure. The method is also applied to calculating the trajectory of a classical forced time-dependent harmonic oscillator.

Super-resolution measurements related to uncertainty relations in optical and biological fluorescence systems

Super-resolution effects in optical and fluorescence biological systems are analyzed and their relations with uncertainty relations are discussed. Super-resolutions obtained in the optical systems, including especially NSOM, SIM and hyperlens, are related to an increase of the spatial frequencies in the object plane leading to very small effective wavelengths and thus the resolution is increased far beyond the Abbe limit. Super-resolution measurements obtained in the fluorescent biological systems STED, FPALM and RESOLFT are treated. An example of a four-level STED system is analyzed in analogy to a four-level laser system, but the special space dependence of the STED light is taken into account, restricting the fluorescence from extremely small volume, and thus extremely high resolution is obtained. Localization of individual molecules is described by the FPALM method where interference between coherent fluorescent photons is taken into account. While in the STED method very high laser intensities are needed in its variant method known as RESOLFT the super-resolution measurements can be obtained by much weaker light intensities. This new method is analyzed and the reasons for a such large reduction in light intensities are explained.

Reduction of quantum noise and increase of amplification of gravitational waves signals in Michelson interferometer by the use of squeezed states

It is shown in the present Letter that the quantum noise due to high laser intensities in Michelson interferometer for gravitational waves detection can be reduced by sending squeezed vacuum states to the 'dark' port of the interferometer. The experimental details of such physical system have been described in a recent article by Barak and Ben-Aryeh (JOSA-B, 25, 361(2008)). In another very recent article by Voronov and Weyrauch (Phys. Rev.A 81, 053816 (2010)) they have followed our methods for treating the same physical system, and have pointed out an error in the sign of one of our expressions thus claiming for the elimination of our physical results. I show here a method by which the expectation value for the photon number operator is increased and at the same time the standard deviation is reduced. Although due to the mistake in sign in our expression the physical method for obtaining such result is different from our original study [1], the main physical effect can remain .
