Investigation of hidden-charm double strange pentaquark candidate PcssP_{css} via its mass and strong decays

This work presents an analysis of a hidden charmed pentaquark candidate state with double strange quark in its quark content. The investigation is performed in two parts, which provide the mass prediction of the considered state and its partial decay widths for the Pcss→Ξ0J/ψP_{css}\rightarrow Ξ^0 J/ψ and Pcss→Ξc+Ds−P_{css}\rightarrow Ξ_c^+ D_s^- channels. For the analyses, two-point and three-point QCD sum rule methods are applied to get the mass and the widths, respectively. The mass for this candidate state is obtained as mPcss=4600±155m_{P_{css}}=4600 \pm 155 MeV with corresponding current coupling constant λPcss=(0.81±0.21)×10−3λ_{P_{css}}=(0.81 \pm 0.21)\times 10^{-3} GeV6^6. These results are used in the analysis of the partial widths of this state for the decays Pcss→Ξ0J/ψP_{css}\rightarrow Ξ^0 J/ψ and Pcss→Ξc+Ds−P_{css}\rightarrow Ξ_c^+ D_s^-. From these decays, the total width is obtained as Γ=12.29±2.94Γ= 12.29\pm 2.94 MeV. These results may shed light on the future experimental searches in which such types of states are probed and may provide information to discriminate between such possible observations.

Λb(6146)0Λ_b(6146)^0 state newly observed by LHCb

We study the bottom Λb(6146)0Λ_b(6146)^0 baryon, newly discovered by the LHCb Collaboration. By adopting an interpolating current of (Lρ,Lλ)=(0,2)(L_ρ, L_λ)=(0,2) type and DD-wave nature with spin-parity quantum numbers JP=32+J^P=\frac{3}{2}^+ for this heavy bottom baryon, we calculate its mass and residue. Using these spectroscopic parameters, we also investigate its dominant decays Λb(6146)0→ΣbπΛ_b(6146)^0\rightarrowΣ_bπ and Λb(6146)0→Σb∗πΛ_b(6146)^0\rightarrowΣ^*_bπ and estimate the width of Λb(6146)0Λ_b(6146)^0 obtained via these channels. The obtained mass, mΛb=(6144±68)m_{Λ_b}=(6144\pm 68)~MeV is in accord nicely with the experimental data. The width obtained via the dominant channels is also consistent with the experimental data of LHCb collaboration. We calculate the spectroscopic parameters and the same decay channels for the cc-partner of Λb(6146)0Λ_b(6146)^0 state, namely Λc(2860)+Λ_c(2860)^+, as well. We compare the obtained results with the existing theoretical predictions as well as experimental data. The results indicate that the state Λb(6146)0Λ_b(6146)^0 and its charmed-partner Λc(2860)+Λ_c(2860)^+ can be considered as 1D1D-wave baryons with JP=32+J^P=\frac{3}{2}^+.

New Λb(6072)0Λ_b(6072)^0 state as a 2S2S bottom baryon

As a result of continuous developments, the recent experimental searches lead to the observations of new particles at different hadronic channels. Among these hadrons are the excited states of the heavy baryons containing single bottom or charmed quark in their valance quark content. The recently observed Λb(6072)0Λ_b(6072)^0 state is one of these baryons and possibly 2S2S radial excitation of the ΛbΛ_b state. Considering this information from the experiment, we conduct a QCD sum rule analysis on this state and calculate its mass and current coupling constant considering it as a 2S2S radially excited ΛbΛ_b resonance. For completeness, in the analyses, we also compute the mass and current coupling constant for the ground state Λb0Λ_b^0 and its first orbital excitation. We also consider the Λc+Λ_c^+ counterpart of each state and attain their mass, as well. The obtained results are consistent with the experimental data as well as existing theoretical predictions.

Nucleon resonances with spin 32\frac{3}{2} and isospin 12\frac{1}{2}

Investigation of the nucleon's excited states has always become an important research topic because of the rich information they provide. Since their first observation, dating back about 70 years, the investigation of their various parameters contributed both to the development of the quark model and better understanding of the QCD as the theory of strong interaction. Their investigation still has importance. The researches conducted on the nucleon excited states are helpful to probe missing resonances predicted by the quark model but not observed yet. With this motivation, we study the low lying nucleon resonance with I(JP)=12(32−)I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^{-}) and its corresponding orbital and radial excitations with I(JP)=12(32+)I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^+) and I(JP)=12(32−)I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^-), respectively. Using the QCD sum rule method, we calculate the masses and pole residues of these states. The obtained mass results are consistent with the mass ranges presented in PDG for the resonances N∗(1520)(3/2−)N^*(1520)(3/2^-), N∗(1700)(3/2−)N^*(1700)(3/2^-), and N∗(1720)(3/2+)N^*(1720)(3/2^+). The results of masses and residues of these states may be used as input parameters to calculate various quantities related to their electromagnetic, weak and strong interactions with other particles with the aim of getting more information on their nature and structure.

On the strong coupling N(∗)N(∗)πN^{(*)}N^{(*)}π

We study the strong vertices N∗NπN^*Nπ, N∗N∗πN^*N^*π and NNπNNπ in QCD, where N∗N^* denotes the negative parity N(1535)N (1535) state. We use the most general form of the interpolating currents to calculate the corresponding strong coupling constants. It is obtained that the coupling associated to N∗NπN^*Nπ vertex is strongly suppressed compared to those related to two other vertices. The strong coupling corresponding to N∗N∗πN^*N^*π is obtained to be roughly half of that of NNπNNπ vertex. We compare the obtained results on N∗NπN^*Nπ and NNπNNπ vertices with the existing predictions of other theoretical studies as well as those extracted from the experimental data.

Strong ΣbNBΣ_bNB and ΣcNDΣ_cND coupling constants in QCD

We study the strong interactions among the heavy bottom spin--1/2 ΣbΣ_b baryon, nucleon and BB meson as well as the heavy charmed spin--1/2 ΣcΣ_c baryon, nucleon and DD meson in the context of QCD sum rules. We calculate the corresponding strong coupling form factors defining these vertices by using a three point correlation function. We obtain the numerical values of the corresponding strong coupling constants via the most prominent structure entering the calculations.

Strong couplings of negative and positive parity nucleons to the heavy baryons and mesons

The strong coupling form factors related to the strong vertices of the positive and negative parity nucleons with the heavy Λb[c][Σb[c]]Λ_{b[c]}[Σ_{b[c]}] baryons and heavy B∗[D∗]B^*[D^*] vector mesons are calculated using a three-point correlation function. Using the values of the form factors at Q2=−mmeson2Q^2=-m^2_{meson} we compute the strong coupling constants among the participating particles.

Analysis of the strong D2∗(2460)0→D+π−D_{2}^{*}(2460)^{0}\rightarrow D^+ π^- and Ds2∗(2573)+→D+K0D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{+}\rightarrow D^{+} K^{0} transitions via QCD sum rules

The strong D2∗(2460)0→D+π−D_{2}^{*}(2460)^{0}\rightarrow D^+ π^- and Ds2∗(2573)+→D+K0D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{+}\rightarrow D^{+} K^{0} transitions are analyzed via three point QCD sum rules. First, we calculate the corresponding strong coupling constants gD2∗Dπg_{D_2^*Dπ} and gDs2∗DKg_{D_{s2}^*DK}. Then, we use them to calculate the corresponding decay widths and branching ratios. Making use of the existing experimental data on the ratio of the decay width in the pseudoscaler DD channel to that of the vector D∗D^* channel, finally, we estimate the decay width and branching ratio of the strong D2∗(2460)0→D∗(2010)+π−D_2^*(2460)^0 \rightarrow D^*(2010)^+π^- transition.

The strong ΛbNBΛ_bNB and ΛcNDΛ_cND vertices

We investigate the strong vertices among ΛbΛ_b, nucleon and BB meson as well as ΛcΛ_c, nucleon and DD meson in QCD. In particular, we calculate the strong coupling constants gΛbNBg_{Λ_bNB} and gΛcNDg_{Λ_cND} for different Dirac structures entered the calculations. In the case of ΛcNDΛ_cND vertex, the result is compared with the only existing prediction obtained at Q2=0Q^2=0.

Investigation of the Bc→χc2lνˉB_c\rightarrow χ_{c2} l \barν transition via QCD sum rules

We calculate the transition form factors of the semileptonic Bc→χc2lνˉB_c\rightarrow χ_{c2} l \barν in the framework of QCD sum rules taking into account the two-gluon condensate corrections. Using the obtained results of form factors we estimate the decay widths and branching ratios related to this transition at all lepton channels. A comparison of the obtained results with the predictions of other non-perturbative approaches are also made. The orders of branching ratios for different lepton channels indicate that the Bc→χc2lνˉB_c\rightarrow χ_{c2} l \barν transition can be studied at LHC using the collected or future data.

Light cone QCD sum rules study of the semileptonic heavy ΞQΞ_{Q} and ΞQ′Ξ'_{Q} transitions to ΞΞ and ΣΣ baryons

The semileptonic decays of heavy spin--1/2, Ξb(c)Ξ_{b(c)} and Ξb(c)′Ξ'_{b(c)} baryons to the light spin-- 1/2, ΞΞ and ΣΣ baryons are investigated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. In particular, using the most general form of the interpolating currents for the heavy baryons as well as the distribution amplitudes of the ΞΞ and ΣΣ baryons, we calculate all form factors entering the matrix elements of the corresponding effective Hamiltonians in full QCD. Having calculated the responsible form factors, we evaluate the decay rates and branching fractions of the related transitions.

Semileptonic transition of ΣbΣ_{b} to ΣΣ in Light Cone QCD Sum Rules

We use distribution amplitudes of the light ΣΣ baryon and the most general form of the interpolating current for heavy ΣbΣ_b baryon to investigate the semileptonic Σb→Σl+l−Σ_b\rightarrow Σl^+l^- transition in light cone QCD sum rules. We calculate all twelve form factors responsible for this transition and use them to evaluate the branching ratio of the considered channel. The order of branching fraction shows that this channel can be detected at LHC.

The gΣQΣQπg_{Σ_QΣ_Qπ} Coupling Constant via Light Cone QCD Sum Rules

Using the most general form of the interpolating currents, the coupling constants gΣbΣbπg_{Σ_bΣ_bπ} and gΣcΣcπg_{Σ_cΣ_cπ} are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules approach. It is found that gΣcΣcπ=−8.0±1.7g_{{Σ_{c}Σ_{c}π}}=-8.0\pm1.7 and gΣbΣbπ=−11.0±2.1g_{{Σ_{b}Σ_{b}π}}=-11.0\pm2.1.

Semileptonic Λb,cΛ_{b,c} to Nucleon Transitions in Full QCD at Light Cone

The tree level semileptonic Λb→plνΛ_{b}\to plν and Λc→nlνΛ_{c}\to nlν transitions are investigated using the light cone QCD sum rules approach in full theory. The spin--1/2, ΛQΛ_{Q} baryon with Q=bQ=b or cc, is considered by the most general form of its interpolating current. The time ordering product of the initial and transition currents is expanded in terms of the nucleon distribution amplitudes with different twists. Considering two sets of independent input parameters entering to the nucleon wave functions, namely, QCD sum rules and Lattice QCD parameters, the related form factors and their heavy quark effective theory limits are calculated and compared with the existing predictions of other approaches. It is shown that our results satisfy the heavy quark symmetry relations for lattice input parameters and b case exactly and the maximum violation is for charm case and QCD sum rules input parameters. The obtained form factors are used to compute the transition rates both in full theory and heavy quark effective theory. A comparison of the results on decay rate of Λb→plνΛ_{b}\to plν with those predicted by other phenomenological methods or the same method in heavy quark effective theory with different interpolating current and distribution amplitudes of the ΛbΛ_{b} is also presented.
