Orbital stability of two-component peakons

We prove that the two-component peakon solutions are orbitally stable in the energy space. The system concerned here is a two-component Novikov system, which is an integrable multicomponent extension of the integrable Novikov equation. We improve the method for the scalar peakons to the two-component case with genuine nonlinear interactions by establishing optimal inequalities for the conserved quantities involving the coupled structures. Moreover, we also establish the orbital stability for the train-profiles of these two-component peakons by using the refined analysis based on monotonicity of the local energy and an induction method.

Resilient Load Restoration in Microgrids Considering Mobile Energy Storage Fleets: A Deep Reinforcement Learning Approach

Mobile energy storage systems (MESSs) provide mobility and flexibility to enhance distribution system resilience. The paper proposes a Markov decision process (MDP) formulation for an integrated service restoration strategy that coordinates the scheduling of MESSs and resource dispatching of microgrids. The uncertainties in load consumption are taken into account. The deep reinforcement learning (DRL) algorithm is utilized to solve the MDP for optimal scheduling. Specifically, the twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (TD3) is applied to train the deep Q-network and policy network, then the well trained policy can be deployed in on-line manner to perform multiple actions simultaneously. The proposed model is demonstrated on an integrated test system with three microgrids connected by Sioux Falls transportation network. The simulation results indicate that mobile and stationary energy resources can be well coordinated to improve system resilience.

Liouville correspondence between the Short-Pulse Hierarchy and the Sine-Gordon Hierarchy

This paper considers the whole hierarchy of bi-Hamiltonian integrable equations associated to each of the Short-Pulse (SP) equation and the Sine-Gordon (SG) equation. We prove that the transformation that relates the SP equation with the SG equation also serves to establish the correspondence between their flows and Hamiltonian conservation laws in respective hierarchy.

On flushed partitions and concave compositions

In this work, we give combinatorial proofs for generating functions of two problems, i.e., flushed partitions and concave compositions of even length. We also give combinatorial interpretation of one problem posed by Sylvester involving flushed partitions and then prove it. For these purposes, we first describe an involution and use it to prove core identities. Using this involution with modifications, we prove several problems of different nature, including Andrews' partition identities involving initial repetitions and partition theoretical interpretations of three mock theta functions of third order $f(q)$, $ϕ(q)$ and $ψ(q)$. An identity of Ramanujan is proved combinatorially. Several new identities are also established.
