The invariant tori of knot type and the interlinked invariant tori in the Nosé-Hoover system

We revisit the famous Nosé-Hoover system in this paper and show the existence of some averagely conservative regions which are filled with an infinite sequence of nested tori. Depending on initial conditions, some invariant tori are of trefoil knot type, while the others are of trivial knot type. Moreover, we present a variety of interlinked invariant tori whose initial conditions are chosen from different averagely conservative regions and give all the interlinking numbers of those interlinked tori, showing that this quadratic system possesses so rich dynamic properties.

Saddle-point-Saddle-focus singular cycles and existence of horseshoes

In this paper we study a type of two singular point singular cycle where one heteroclinic orbit is the transversal intersection of the 2-dimensional stable manifold of one singular point and the 2-dimensional unstable manifold of other singular point. We show that this kind of singular cycle can give rise to a new mechanism of creation of chaos in 3-dimensional vector fields.

Nonstandard Hopf bifurcation in switched

This paper presents an analysis on nonstandard generalized Hopf bifurcation in a class of switched systems where the lost of stability of linearized systems is not due to the crossing of their complex conjugate eigenvalues but relevant to the switching laws between the subslystems. Thus is remarkably different from the mechanism of the Hopf bifurcation and the generalized Hopf bifurcation studied in the literature.
