Invariant differential operators for the Jacobi algebra $ {\cal G}_2$

In the present paper we construct explicitly the intertwining differential operators for the Jacobi algebra ${\cal G}_2.$ For the construction we use the singular vectors of the Verma modules over ${\cal G}_2$ which we have constructed earlier. We construct the function spaces on which the operators act. We display two versions of the left (representation) action and the right action. The latter is inserted in the singular vectors to provide the intertwining differential operators.

Invariant Differential Operators for Non-Compact Lie Algebras Parabolically Related to Conformal Lie Algebras

In the present paper we continue the project of systematic construction of invariant differential operators for non-compact semisimple Lie groups. Our starting points is the class of algebras, which we call 'conformal Lie algebras' (CLA), which have very similar properties to the conformal algebras of Minkowski space-time, though our aim is to go beyond this class in a natural way. For this we introduce the new notion of {\it parabolic relation} between two non-compact semisimple Lie algebras g and g' that have the same complexification and possess maximal parabolic subalgebras with the same complexification. Thus, we consider the exceptional algebra E_{7(7)} which is parabolically related to the CLA E_{7(-25)}, the parabolic subalgebras including E_{6(6)} and E_{6(-6)} . Other interesting examples are the orthogonal algebras so(p,q) all of which are parabolically related to the conformal algebra so(n,2) with p+q=n+2, the parabolic subalgebras including the Lorentz subalgebra so(n-1,1) and its analogs so(p-1,q-1). We consider also E_{6(6)} and E_{6(2)} which are parabolically related to the hermitian symmetric case E_{6(-14)}, the parabolic subalgebras including real forms of sl(6). We also give a formula for the number of representations in the main multiplets valid for CLAs and all algebras that are parabolically related to them. In all considered cases we give the main multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations including the necessary data for all relevant invariant differential operators. In the case of so(p,q) we give also the reduced multiplets. We should stress that the multiplets are given in the most economic way in pairs of {\it shadow fields}. Furthermore we should stress that the classification of all invariant differential operators includes as special cases all possible {\it conservation laws} and {\it conserved currents}, unitary or not.

Invariant Differential Operators for Non-Compact Lie Groups: the $SO^*(12)$ Case

In the present paper we continue the project of systematic construction of invariant differential operators on the example of the non-compact algebra $so^*(12)$. We give the main multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations. Due to the recently established parabolic relations the multiplet classification results are valid also for the algebra $so(6,6)$ with suitably chosen maximal parabolic subalgebra.

Intertwining Operator Realization of anti de Sitter Holography

We give a group-theoretic interpretation of relativistic holography as equivalence between representations of the anti de Sitter algebra describing bulk fields and boundary fields. Our main result is the explicit construction of the boundary-to-bulk operators for arbitrary integer spin the framework of representation theory. Further we show that these operators and the bulk-to-boundary operators are intertwining operators. In analogy to the de Sitter case, we show that each bulk field has two boundary (shadow) fields with conjugated conformal weights. These fields are related by another intertwining operator given by a two-point function on the boundary.

Invariant Differential Operators for Non-Compact Lie Groups: the Reduced SU(3,3) Multiplets

In the present paper we continue the project of systematic construction of invariant differential operators on the example of the non-compact algebras $su(n,n)$. Earlier were given the main multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations for $n\leq 4$, and the reduced ones for $n=2$. Here we give all reduced multiplets containing physically relevant representations including the minimal ones for the algebra $su(3,3)$. Due to the recently established parabolic relations the results are valid also for the algebra $sl(6,\mathbb{R})$ with suitably chosen maximal parabolic subalgebra.

Invariant Differential Operators for Non-Compact Lie Groups: the Reduced SU(4,4) Multiplets

In the present paper we continue the project of systematic construction of invariant differential operators on the example of the non-compact algebras $su(n,n)$. Earlier were given the main multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations for $n\leq 4$, and the reduced ones for $n=2,3$. Here we give all reduced multiplets containing physically relevant representations including the minimal ones for $n=4$. Due to the recently established parabolic relations the results are valid also for the algebras $sl(8,\mathbb{R})$ and $su^*(8)$ with suitably chosen maximal parabolic subalgebras.

Multiplet classification for SU(n,n)

In the present paper we review our project of systematic construction of invariant differential operators on the example of the non-compact algebras su(n,n) for n=2,3,4. We give explicitly the main multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations and some reduced multiplets. We give explicitly the minimal representations. Due to the recently established parabolic relations the multiplet classification results are valid also for the algebras sl(2n,R) and when n=2k for the algebras su*(4k) with suitably chosen maximal parabolic subalgebras.

Non-Relativistic Holography -- A Group-Theoretical Perspective

We give a review of some group-theoretical results related to non-relativistic holography. Our main playgrounds are the Schrödinger equation and the Schrödinger algebra. We first recall the interpretation of non-relativistic holography as equivalence between representations of the Schrödinger algebra describing bulk fields and boundary fields. One important result is the explicit construction of the boundary-to-bulk operators in the framework of representation theory, and that these operators and the bulk-to-boundary operators are intertwining operators. Further, we recall the fact that there is a hierarchy of equations on the boundary, invariant w.r.t. Schrödinger algebra. We also review the explicit construction of an analogous hierarchy of invariant equations in the bulk, and that the two hierarchies are equivalent via the bulk-to-boundary intertwining operators. The derivation of these hierarchies uses a mechanism introduced first for semi-simple Lie groups and adapted to the non-semisimple Schrödinger algebra. These requires development of the representation theory of the Schrödinger algebra which is reviewed in some detail. We also recall the $q$-deformation of the Schrödinger algebra. Finally, the realization of the Schrödinger algebra via difference operators is reviewed.

Classification of Invariant Differential Operators for Non-Compact Lie Algebras via Parabolic Relations

In the present paper we review the progress of the project of classification and construction of invariant differential operators for non-compact semisimple Lie groups. Our starting points is the class of algebras, which we called earlier 'conformal Lie algebras' (CLA), which have very similar properties to the conformal algebras of Minkowski space-time, though our aim is to go beyond this class in a natural way. For this we introduced recently the new notion of {\it parabolic relation} between two non-compact semisimple Lie algebras $\cal G$ and $\cal G'$ that have the same complexification and possess maximal parabolic subalgebras with the same complexification. Thus, we consider the exceptional algebra $E_{7(7)}$ which is parabolically related to the CLA $E_{7(-25)}$. Other interesting examples are the orthogonal algebras $so(p,q)$ all of which are parabolically related to the conformal algebra $so(n,2)$ with $p+q=n+2$, the parabolic subalgebras including the Lorentz subalgebra $so(n-1,1)$ and its analogs $so(p-1,q-1)$. Further we consider the algebras $sl(2n,R)$ and for $n=2k$ the algebras $su^*(4k)$ which are parabolically related to the CLA $su(n,n)$. Further we consider the algebras $sp(r,r)$ which are parabolically related to the CLA $sp(2r,R)$. We consider also $E_{6(6)}$ and $E_{6(2)}$ which are parabolically related to the hermitian symmetric case $E_{6(-14)}$.

Explicit Character Formulae for Positive Energy UIRs of D=4 Conformal Supersymmetry

This paper continues the project of constructing the character formulae for the positive energy unitary irreducible representations of the N-extended D=4 conformal superalgebras su(2,2/N). In the first paper we gave the bare characters which represent the defining odd entries of the characters. Now we give the full explicit character formulae for N=1 and for several important examples for N=2 and N=4.

Special Reduced Multiplets and Minimal Representations for Sp(n,R)

In the present paper we continue the programme of systematic construction of invariant differential operators on the example of the non-compact groups Sp(n,R). Earlier in arXiv:1205.5521 we gave the main multiplets and the main reduced multiplets of indecomposable elementary representations including the necessary data for all relevant invariant differential operators. Here we give the special reduced multiplets and the minimal representations of Sp(n,R).

Intertwining Operator Realization of Non-Relativistic Holography

We give a group-theoretic interpretation of non-relativistic holography as equivalence between representations of the Schrodinger algebra describing bulk fields and boundary fields. Our main result is the explicit construction of the boundary-to-bulk operators in the framework of representation theory (without specifying any action). Further we show that these operators and the bulk-to-boundary operators are intertwining operators. In analogy to the relativistic case, we show that each bulk field has two boundary fields with conjugated conformal weights. These fields are related by another intertwining operator given by a two-point function on the boundary. Analogously to the relativistic result of Klebanov-Witten we give the conditions when both boundary fields are physical. Finally, we recover in our formalism earlier non-relativistic results for scalar fields by Son and others.

New Generalized Verma Modules and Multilinear Intertwining Differential Operators

The present paper contains two interrelated developments. First, are proposed new generalized Verma modules. They are called k-Verma modules, k\in N, and coincide with the usual Verma modules for k=1. As a vector space a k-Verma module is isomorphic to the symmetric tensor product of k copies of the universal enveloping algebra U(g^-), where g^- is the subalgebra of lowering generators in the standard triangular decomposition of a simple Lie algebra g = g^+ \oplus h \oplus g^- . The second development is the proposal of a procedure for the construction of multilinear intertwining differential operators for semisimple Lie groups G . This procedure uses k-Verma modules and coincides for k=1 with a procedure for the construction of linear intertwining differential operators. For all k central role is played by the singular vectors of the k-Verma modules. Explicit formulae for series of such singular vectors are given. Using these are given explicitly many new examples of multilinear intertwining differential operators. In particular, for G = SL(2,R) are given explicitly all bilinear intertwining differential operators. Using the latter, as an application are constructed (n/2)-differentials for all n\in 2N, the ordinary Schwarzian being the case n=4. As another application, in a Note Added we propose a new hierarchy of nonlinear equations, the lowest member being the KdV equation.

Spectral Decomposition and Baxterisation of Exotic Bialgebras and Associated Noncommutative Geometries

We study the geometric aspects of two exotic bialgebras S03 and S14 introduced in math.QA/0206053. These bialgebras are obtained by the Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtajan RTT prescription with non-triangular R-matrices which are denoted $R_{03}$ and $R_{14}$ in the classification of Hietarinta, and they are not deformations of either GL(2) or GL(1/1). We give the spectral decomposition which involves two, resp., three, projectors. These projectors are then used to provide the Baxterisation procedure with one, resp., two, parameters. Further, the projectors are used to construct the noncommutative planes together with the corresponding differentials following the Wess-Zumino prescription. In all these constructions there appear non-standard features which are noted. Such features show the importance of systematic study of all bialgebras of four generators.

Duality and Representations for New Exotic Bialgebras

We find the exotic matrix bialgebras which correspond to the two non-triangular nonsingular 4x4 R-matrices in the classification of Hietarinta, namely, R_{S0,3} and R_{S1,4}. We find two new exotic bialgebras S03 and S14 which are not deformations of the of the classical algebras of functions on GL(2) or GL(1|1). With this we finalize the classification of the matrix bialgebras which unital associative algebras generated by four elements. We also find the corresponding dual bialgebras of these new exotic bialgebras and study their representation theory in detail. We also discuss in detail a special case of R_{S1,4} in which the corresponding algebra turns out to be a special case of the two-parameter quantum group deformation GL_{p,q}(2).

Simple Applications of q-Bosons

A deformation of the harmonic oscillator algebra associated with the Morse potential and the SU(2) algebra is derived using the quantum analogue of the anharmonic oscillator. We use the quantum oscillator algebra or $q$-boson algebra which is a generalisation of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra obtained by introducing a deformation parameter $q$. Further, we present a new algebraic realization of the $q$-bosons, for the case of $q$ being a root of unity, which corresponds to a periodic structure described by a finite-dimensional representation. We show that this structure represents the symmetry of a linear lattice with periodic boundary conditions.

On Combined Standard-Nonstandard or Hybrid (q,h)-Deformations

Combined $(q,h)$-deformations proposed by Kupershmidt and Ballesteros-Herranz-Parashar are studied. In each case a transformation is shown to lead to an equivalent, standard $q$-deformation. We briefly indicate that appropriate singular limits of the same type of transformations can however lead from standard biparametric $(p,q)$-deformations to non-hybrid but biparametric nonstandard $(g,h)$ ones. Finally a case of hybrid $(q,h)$-deformation is recalled, related to the superalgebra $GL(1|1)$.

Representation Theory Approach to the Polynomial Solutions of q - Difference Equations : U_q(sl(3)) and Beyond,

A new approach to the theory of polynomial solutions of q - difference equations is proposed. The approach is based on the representation theory of simple Lie algebras and their q - deformations and is presented here for U_q(sl(n)). First a q - difference realization of U_q(sl(n)) in terms of n(n-1)/2 commuting variables and depending on n-1 complex representation parameters r_i, is constructed. From this realization lowest weight modules (LWM) are obtained which are studied in detail for the case n=3 (the well known n=2 case is also recovered). All reducible LWM are found and the polynomial bases of their invariant irreducible subrepresentations are explicitly given. This also gives a classification of the quasi-exactly solvable operators in the present setting. The invariant subspaces are obtained as solutions of certain invariant q - difference equations, i.e., these are kernels of invariant q - difference operators, which are also explicitly given. Such operators were not used until now in the theory of polynomial solutions. Finally the states in all subrepresentations are depicted graphically via the so called Newton diagrams.

SO(2,C) invariant ring structure of BRST cohomology and singular vectors in 2D gravity with c < 1 matter

We consider BRST quantized 2D gravity coupled to conformal matter with arbitrary central charge $c^M = c(p,q) < 1$ in the conformal gauge. We apply a Lian-Zuckerman $SO(2,\bbc)$ ($(p,q)$ - dependent) rotation to Witten's $c^M = 1$ chiral ground ring. We show that the ring structure generated by the (relative BRST cohomology) discrete states in the (matter $\otimes$ Liouville $\otimes$ ghosts) Fock module may be obtained by this rotation. We give also explicit formulae for the discrete states. For some of them we use new formulae for $c <1$ Fock modules singular vectors which we present in terms of Schur polynomials generalizing the $c=1$ expressions of Goldstone, while the rest of the discrete states we obtain by finding the proper $SO(2,\bbc)$ rotation. Our formulae give the extra physical states (arising from the relative BRST cohomology) on the boundaries of the $p \times q$ rectangles of the conformal lattice and thus all such states in $(1,q)$ or $(p,1)$ models.
