$W$ boson mass shift and muon magnetic moment in the Zee model

The CDF collaboration at Fermilab has recently reported a new precision measurement of the $W$~boson mass showing a substantial $7σ$ deviation from the Standard Model prediction. Moreover, Fermilab has recently confirmed the longstanding tension in the $(g-2)_μ$ measurement. We propose a unified solution to these deviations within the simplest radiative neutrino mass model: the Zee model. Our analysis establishes non-trivial links between the origin of neutrino mass, the $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly, and the $W$~boson mass shift while being consistent with lepton flavor violation and all other experimental constraints. We find that the mass spectrum of the physical scalars must be hierarchical to be consistent with the $W$~boson mass shift; remarkably, this is also the key to resolving the $(g-2)_μ$ tension. Furthermore, this mass splitting offers a unique same-sign dimuon signal through which our model can be tested at the LHC.

Dark Matter and $(g-2)_{μ,e}$ in radiative Dirac neutrino mass models

The origin of neutrino mass is a mystery, so is its nature, namely, whether neutrinos are Dirac or Majorana particles. On top of that, hints of large deviations of the muon and the electron anomalous magnetic moments (AMMs) are strong evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model. In this work, piecing these puzzles together, we propose a class of radiative Dirac neutrino mass models to reconcile $(g-2)_{μ,e}$ anomalies with neutrino oscillation data. In this framework, a common set of new physics (NP) states run through the loops that generate non-zero neutrino mass and, due to chiral enhancement, provide substantial NP contributions to lepton AMMs. In addition, one of the three models studied in this work offers a Dark Matter candidate automatically stabilized by the residual symmetry, whose phenomenology is non-trivially connected to the other two puzzles mentioned above. Finally, our detailed numerical analysis reveals a successful resolution to these mysteries while being consistent with all colliders and cosmological constraints.

Predestined Dark Matter Varieties in the Simplest Left-Right Model

In the simplest left-right extension of the Standard Model of particle interactions with one scalar bidoublet and one $SU(2)_R$ triplet for seesaw Majorana neutrino masses, the addition of a variety of fermion and scalar multiplets automatically makes them stable (predestined) dark matter candidates. We discuss the interplay of this dark ensemble in relic abundance and direct searches.

Probing the Dark Matter of Three-loop Radiative Neutrino Mass Generation Model with the Cherenkov Telescope Array

We investigate the prospect of detecting the Dark Matter (DM) candidate in the three-loop radiative neutrino mass generation model extended with large electroweak multiplets of the Standard Model (SM) gauge group, at the future imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescope known as the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA). We find that the addition of such large electroweak multiplets leads to a sizable Sommerfeld enhanced annihilation of the DM with $O(\text{TeV})$ mass, into the SM gauge bosons which results in continuum and line-like spectra of very high energy (VHE) gamma-rays, and therefore becomes observable for the CTA. We determine the viable models by setting the upper limit on the $SU(2)_{L}$ isospin of the multiplets from the partial-wave unitarity constraints and the appearance of low-scale Landau pole in the gauge coupling. Afterwards, by considering the continuum VHE gamma-rays produced from the DM annihilation at the Galactic center, we probe the parameter space of the model using the sensitivity reach of the CTA.

Lepton Flavor Violation in the Inert Scalar Model with Higher Representations

We investigate the lepton flavor violation (LFV) in the inert scalar model with higher representations. We generalize the inert doublet model with right handed neutrino by using higher scalar and fermion representation of $SU(2)_{L}$. As the generalized model and the inert doublet model have the same parameter space, we compare the rates of $μ\rightarrow eγ$, $μ\rightarrow ee\overline{e}$ and $μ-e$ conversion in nuclei in the doublet and its immediate extension, the quartet model. We show that the corresponding rates are larger in the case of higher representation compared to the Inert doublet for the same region of parameter space. This implies that such extended models are more constrained by current LFV bounds and will have better prospects in future experiments.

Scalar Representations in the Light of Electroweak Phase Transition and Cold Dark Matter Phenomenology

The extension of the standard model's minimal Higgs sector with an inert $SU(2)_L$ scalar doublet can provide light dark matter candidate and simultaneously induce a strong phase transition for explaining Baryogenesis. There is however no symmetry reasons to prevent the extension using scalars with higher $SU(2)_L$ representations. By making random scans over the models' parameters, we show that in the light of electroweak physics constraints, strong first order electroweak phase transition and the possibility of having sub-TeV cold dark matter candidate the higher representations are rather disfavored compared to the inert doublet. This is done by computing generic perturbativity behavior and impact on electroweak phase transitions of higher representations in comparison with the inert doublet model. Explicit phase transition and cold dark matter phenomenology within the context of the inert triplet and quartet representations are used for detailed illustrations.

Sphalerons and the Electroweak Phase Transition in Models with Higher Scalar Representations

In this work we investigate the sphaleron solution in a $SU(2)\times U(1)_X$ gauge theory, which also encompasses the Standard Model, with higher scalar representation(s) ($J^{(i)},X^{(i)}$). We show that the field profiles describing the sphaleron in higher scalar multiplet, have similar trends like the doublet case with respect to the radial distance. We compute the sphaleron energy and find that it scales linearly with the vacuum expectation value of the scalar field and its slope depends on the representation. We also investigate the effect of $U(1)$ gauge field and find that it is small for the physical value of the mixing angle, $θ_{W}$ and resembles the case for the doublet. For higher representations, we show that the criterion for strong first order phase transition, $v_{c}/T_{c}>η$, is relaxed with respect to the doublet case, i.e. $η<1$.

Dark Matter as the Trigger of Strong Electroweak Phase Transition

In this Letter, we propose a new possible connection between dark matter relic density and baryon asymmetry of the universe. The portal between standard model sector and dark matter not only controls the relic density and detections of dark matter, but also allows the dark matter to trigger the first order electroweak phase transition. We discuss systematically possible scalar dark matter candidates, starting from a real singlet to arbitrary high representations. We show that the simplest realization is provided by a doublet, and that strong first-order electroweak phase transition implies a lower bound on the dark matter direct detection rate. The mass of dark matter lies between 45 and 80 GeV, allowing for an appreciable invisible decay width of the Standard Model Higgs boson, which is constrained to be lighter than 130 GeV for the sake of the strong phase transition.
