A decomposition theorem for $\mathbb Q$-Fano Kähler-Einstein varieties

Let $X$ be a $\mathbb Q$-Fano variety admitting a Kähler-Einstein metric. We prove that up to a finite quasi-étale cover, $X$ splits isometrically as a product of Kähler-Einstein $\mathbb Q$-Fano varieties whose tangent sheaf is stable with respect to the anticanonical polarization. This relies among other things on a very general splitting theorem for algebraically integrable foliations. We also prove that the canonical extension of $T_X$ by $\mathscr O_X$ is semistable with respect to the anticanonical polarization.

Codimension one foliations with trivial canonical class on singular spaces II

In this article, we give the structure of codimension one foliations with canonical singularities and numerically trivial canonical class on varieties with klt singularities. Building on recent works of Spicer, Cascini - Spicer and Spicer - Svaldi, we then describe the birational geometry of rank two foliations with canonical singularities and canonical class of numerical dimension zero on complex projective threefolds.

Numerical characterization of some toric fiber bundles

Given a complex projective manifold $X$ and a divisor $D$ with normal crossings, we say that the logarithmic tangent bundle $T_X(-\log D)$ is R-flat if its pull-back to the normalization of any rational curve contained in $X$ is the trivial vector bundle. If moreover $-(K_X+D)$ is nef, then the log canonical divisor $K_X+D$ is torsion and the maximally rationally chain connected fibration turns out to be a smooth locally trivial fibration with typical fiber $F$ being a toric variety with boundary divisor $D_{|F}$.

A decomposition theorem for singular spaces with trivial canonical class of dimension at most five

In this paper we partly extend the Beauville-Bogomolov decomposition theorem to the singular setting. We show that any complex projective variety of dimension at most five with canonical singularities and numerically trivial canonical class admits a finite cover, étale in codimension one, that decomposes as a product of an Abelian variety, and singular analogues of irreducible Calabi-Yau and irreducible holomorphic symplectic varieties.

Locally unsplit families of rational curves of large anticanonical degree on Fano manifolds

In this paper we address Fano manifolds X with a locally unsplit dominating family of rational curves of anticanonical degree equal to the dimension of X. We first observe that their Picard number is at most 3, and then we provide a classification of all cases with maximal Picard number. We also give examples of locally unsplit dominating families of rational curves whose varieties of minimal tangents at a general point is singular.

On codimension 1 del Pezzo foliations on varieties with mild singularities

In this paper we extend to the singular setting the theory of Fano foliations developed in our previous paper. A Q-Fano foliation on a complex projective variety X is a foliation F whose anti-canonical class is an ample Q-Cartier divisor. In the spirit of Kobayashi-Ochiai Theorem, we prove that under some conditions the index i of a Q-Fano foliation is bounded by the rank r of F, and classify the cases in which i=r. Next we consider Q-Fano foliations F for which i=r-1. These are called del Pezzo foliations. We classify codimension 1 del Pezzo foliations on mildly singular varieties.

On Fano foliations

In this paper we address Fano foliations on complex projective varieties. These are foliations whose anti-canonical class is ample. We focus our attention on a special class of Fano foliations, namely del Pezzo foliations on complex projective manifolds. We show that these foliations are algebraically integrable, with one exceptional case when the ambient space is a projective space. We also provide a classification of del Pezzo foliations with mild singularities.

Invariants de Hasse-Witt des réductions de certaines variétés symplectiques irréductibles

Let X be an irreducible symplectic variety defined over a number field K. Assume either that X has Picard number at least two or that X has even second Betti number. We prove that there exist a finite algebraic field extension L/K and a density 1 set S of non-archimedean places of L such that the reduction of X at any place in S has nonzero Hasse-Witt invariant.
