Ext-enhanced monoidal Koszul duality for $\mathrm{GL}_2$

The Hecke category participates in an equivalence called monoidal Koszul duality, which exchanges it with the category of (Langlands-dual) "free-monodromic tilting sheaves." Motivated by a recent conjecture of Gorsky and the first-named author on HOMFLYPT link homology, we propose to enhance this duality with an additional grading. We provide evidence for this enhancement in the case of $\mathrm{GL}_2$, working in the language of the second-named author's joint work with Achar, Riche, and Williamson.

Modular Koszul duality for Soergel bimodules

We generalize the modular Koszul duality of Achar-Riche to the setting of Soergel bimodules associated to any finite Coxeter system. The key new tools are a functorial monodromy action and wall-crossing functors in the mixed modular derived category. In characteristic 0, this duality together with Soergel's conjecture (proved by Elias-Williamson) imply that our Soergel-theoretic graded category $\mathcal{O}$ is Koszul self-dual, generalizing the result of Beilinson-Ginzburg-Soergel.

On monoidal Koszul duality for the Hecke category

We attempt to give a gentle (though ahistorical) introduction to Koszul duality phenomena for the Hecke category, focusing on the form of this duality studied in joint work of Achar, Riche, Williamson, and the author. We illustrate some key phenomena and constructions for the simplest nontrivial case of (finite) $\mathrm{SL}_2$ using Soergel bimodules, a concrete algebraic model of the Hecke category.

A Note on Riemann Surfaces of Large Systole

We examine the large systole problem, which concerns compact hyperbolic Riemannian surfaces whose systole, the length of the shortest noncontractible loops, grows logarithmically in genus. The generalization of a construction of Buser and Sarnak by Katz, Schaps, and Vishne, which uses principal "congruence" subgroups of a fixed cocompact arithmetic Fuchsian, achieves the current maximum known growth constant of γ= 4/3. We prove that this is the best possible value of γfor this construction using arithmetic Fuchsians in the congruence case. The final section compares the large systole problem with the analogous large girth problem for regular graphs.

Modified Hanoi Towers Groups and Limit Spaces

We introduce the $k$-peg Hanoi automorphisms and Hanoi self-similar groups, a generalization of the Hanoi Towers groups, and give conditions for them to be contractive. We analyze the limit spaces of a particular family of contracting Hanoi groups, $H_c^{(k)}$, and show that these are the unique maximal contracting Hanoi groups under a suitable symmetry condition. Finally, we provide partial results on the contraction of Hanoi groups with weaker symmetry.
