Limited Angle Tomography for Transmission X-Ray Microscopy Using Deep Learning

In transmission X-ray microscopy (TXM) systems, the rotation of a scanned sample might be restricted to a limited angular range to avoid collision to other system parts or high attenuation at certain tilting angles. Image reconstruction from such limited angle data suffers from artifacts due to missing data. In this work, deep learning is applied to limited angle reconstruction in TXMs for the first time. With the challenge to obtain sufficient real data for training, training a deep neural network from synthetic data is investigated. Particularly, the U-Net, the state-of-the-art neural network in biomedical imaging, is trained from synthetic ellipsoid data and multi-category data to reduce artifacts in filtered back-projection (FBP) reconstruction images. The proposed method is evaluated on synthetic data and real scanned chlorella data in $100^\circ$ limited angle tomography. For synthetic test data, the U-Net significantly reduces root-mean-square error (RMSE) from $2.55 \times 10^{-3}$ μm$^{-1}$ in the FBP reconstruction to $1.21 \times 10^{-3}$ μm$^{-1}$ in the U-Net reconstruction, and also improves structural similarity (SSIM) index from 0.625 to 0.920. With penalized weighted least square denoising of measured projections, the RMSE and SSIM are further improved to $1.16 \times 10^{-3}$ μm$^{-1}$ and 0.932, respectively. For real test data, the proposed method remarkably improves the 3-D visualization of the subcellular structures in the chlorella cell, which indicates its important value for nano-scale imaging in biology, nanoscience and materials science.

On split regular Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras

In this paper, we introduce the notion of the Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebra as an algebraic analogue of Hom-Leibniz algebroid, and prove that such an arbitrary split regular Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebra $L$ is of the form $L=U+\sum_γI_γ$ with $U$ a subspace of a maximal abelian subalgebra $H$ and any $I_γ$, a well described ideal of $L$, satisfying $[I_γ, I_δ]= 0$ if $[γ]\neq [δ]$. In the sequel, we develop techniques of connections of roots and weights for split Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras respectively. Finally, we study the structures of tight split regular Hom-Leibniz-Rinehart algebras.

The Hom-Long dimodule category and nonlinear equations

In this paper, we construct a kind of new braided monoidal category over two Hom-Hopf algerbas $(H,α)$ and $(B,β)$ and associate it with two nonlinear equations. We first introduce the notion of an $(H,B)$-Hom-Long dimodule and show that the Hom-Long dimodule category $^{B}_{H} \Bbb L$ is an autonomous category. Second, we prove that the category $^{B}_{H} \Bbb L$ is a braided monoidal category if $(H,α)$ is quasitriangular and $(B,β)$ is coquasitriangular and get a solution of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. Also, we show that the category $^{B}_{H} \Bbb L$ can be viewed as a subcategory of the Hom-Yetter-Drinfeld category $^{HøB}_{HøB} \Bbb {HYD}$. Finally, we obtain a solution of the Hom-Long equation from the Hom-Long dimodules.

BiHom-Lie superalgebra structures

The aim of this paper is to introduce the notion of BiHom-Lie superalgebras. This class of algebras is a generalization of both BiHom-Lie algebras and Hom-Lie superalgebras. In this article, we first present two ways to construct BiHom-Lie superalgebras from BiHom-associative superalgebras and Hom-Lie superalgebras by Yau's twist principle. Also, we explore some general classes of BiHom-Lie admissible superalgebras and describe all these classes via $G$-BiHom-associative superalgebras, where $G$ is a subgroup of the symmetric group $S_{3}$. Finally, we discuss the concept of $β^{k}$-derivation of BiHom-Lie superalgebras and prove that the set of all $β^{k}$-derivation has a natural BiHom-Lie superalgebra structure.

Yetter-Drinfeld modules for weak Hom-Hopf algebras

The aim of this paper is to define and study Yetter-Drinfeld modules over weak Hom-Hopf algebras. We show that the category ${}_H{\cal WYD}^H$ of Yetter-Drinfeld modules with bijective structure maps over weak Hom-Hopf algebras is a rigid category and a braided monoidal category, and obtain a new solution of quantum Hom-Yang-Baxter equation. It turns out that, If $H$ is quasitriangular (respectively, coquasitriangular)weak Hom-Hopf algebras, the category of modules (respectively, comodules) with bijective structure maps over $H$ is a braided monoidal subcategory of the category ${}_H{\cal WYD}^H$ of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over weak Hom-Hopf algebras.

Braided monoidal categories and Doi Hopf modules for monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras

We first introduce the notion of Doi Hom-Hopf modules and find the sufficient condition for the category of Doi Hom-Hopf modules to be monoidal. Also we obtain the condition for the monoidal Hom-algebra and monoidal Hom-coalgebra to be monoidal Hom-bialgebras. Second, we give the maps between the underlying monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras, Hom-comodule algebras and Hom-module coalgebras give rise to functors between the category of Doi Hom-Hopf modules and study tensor identities for monodial categories of Doi Hom-Hopf modules. Furthermore, we construct a braiding on the category of Doi Hom-Hopf modules. Finally, as an application of our theory, we consider the braiding on the category of Hom-modules, the category of Hom-comodules and the category of Hom-Yetter-Drinfeld modules respectively.

Enveloping actions and duality theorems for partial twisted smash products

In this paper, we first generalize the theorem about the existence of an enveloping action to a partial twisted smash product. Second, we construct a Morita context between the partial twisted smash product and the twisted smash product related to the enveloping action. Furthermore, we show some results relating partial actions and partial representations over the partial twisted smash products, which generalize the results of Alves and Batista (Comm. Algebra, 38(8): 2872-2902, 2010). Finally, we present versions of the duality theorems of Blattner-Montgomery for partial twisted smash products.

Enveloping actions for twisted partial actions

Let A#_{α, ω}H be a partial crossed product. In this paper, we first generalize the theorem about the existence of an enveloping action to twisted partial actions. Second, we construct a Morita context between the partial crossed product and the crossed product related to the enveloping action. Furthermore, we discuss equivalences of partial crossed products Finally, we investigate when A\subset A#_{α, ω}H becomes a separable extension.

Relative Hom-Hopf modules and total integrals

Let $(H, \a)$ be a monoidal Hom-Hopf algebra and $(A, \b)$ a right $(H, \a)$-Hom-comodule algebra. We first investigate the criterion for the existence of a total integral of $(A, \b)$ in the setting of monoidal Hom-Hopf algebras. Also we prove that there exists a total integral $ϕ: (H, \a)\rightarrow (A, \b)$ if and only if any representation of the pair $(H,A)$ is injective in a functorial way, as a corepresentation of $(H, \a)$, which generalizes Doi's result. Finally, we define a total quantum integral $\g: H\rightarrow Hom(H, A)$ and prove the following affineness criterion: if there exists a total quantum integral $\g$ and the canonical map $ψ: Aø_{B}A\rightarrow AøH,\ \ aø_{B}b\mapsto \b^{-1}(a)b_{[0]}ø\a(b_{[1]}) $is surjective, then the induction functor $Aø_B-: \widetilde{\mathscr{H}}(\mathscr{M}_k)_{B}\rightarrow \widetilde{\mathscr{H}}(\mathscr{M}_k)^{H}_{A}$ is an equivalence of categories.
