On oriented $m$-semiregular representations of finite groups

A finite group $G$ admits an {\em oriented regular representation} if there exists a Cayley digraph of $G$ such that it has no digons and its automorphism group is isomorphic to $G$. Let $m$ be a positive integer. In this paper, we extend the notion of oriented regular representations to oriented $m$-semiregular representations using $m$-Cayley digraphs. Given a finite group $G$, an {\em $m$-Cayley digraph} of $G$ is a digraph that has a group of automorphisms isomorphic to $G$ acting semiregularly on the vertex set with $m$ orbits. We say that a finite group $G$ admits an {\em oriented $m$-semiregular representation} if there exists a regular $m$-Cayley digraph of $G$ such that it has no digons and $G$ is isomorphic to its automorphism group. In this paper, we classify finite groups admitting an oriented $m$-semiregular representation for each positive integer $m$.

A bijection between aperiodic palindromes and connected circulant graphs

In this paper, we show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the set of compositions (resp. prime compositions) of $n$ and the set of circulant digraphs (resp. connected circulant digraphs) of order $n$. We also show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the set of palindromes (resp. aperiodic palindromes) of $n$ and the set of circulant graphs (resp. connected circulant graphs) of order $n$. As a corollary of this correspondence, we enumerate the number of connected circulant (di)graphs of order $n$.

Geometric distance-regular graphs without 4-claws

A non-complete \drg $Γ$ is called geometric if there exists a set $\mathcal{C}$ of Delsarte cliques such that each edge of $Γ$ lies in a unique clique in $\mathcal{C}$. In this paper, we determine the non-complete distance-regular graphs satisfying $\max \{3, 8/3}(a_1+1)\}<k<4a_1+10-6c_2$. To prove this result, we first show by considering non-existence of 4-claws that any non-complete distance-regular graph satisfying $\max \{3, \8/3}(a_1+1)\}<k<4a_1+10-6c_2$ is a geometric \drg with smallest eigenvalue -3. Moreover, we classify the geometric \drg s with smallest eigenvalue -3. As an application, 7 feasible intersection arrays in the list of \cite[Chapter 14]{bcn} are ruled out.
