Joule-Thomson expansion of d-dimensional charged AdS black holes with cloud of strings and quintessence

Herein, we focus on the study of Joule-Thomson expansion corresponding to a d-dimensional charged AdS black hole with cloud of strings and quintessence. Then its relevant solution and some thermodynamic properties are investigated. Specifically, we evaluate its Joule-Thomson expansion from four important aspects, including the Joule-Thomson coefficient, inversion curve, isenthalpic curve, and ratio $\frac{T_{i}^{min}}{T_{c}}$. After analysis, different dimensions with strings of cloud and quintessence parameters have different effects on the Joule-Thomson coefficient (the same situation are found for the inversion curve, isenthalpic curve, and ratio $\frac{T_{i}^{min}}{T_{c}}$).

Matched entanglement witness criteria for continuous variables

We use quantum entanglement witnesses derived from Gaussian operators to study the separable criteria of continuous variable states. We transform the validity of a Gaussian witness to a Bosonic Gaussian channel problem. It follows that the maximal means of two-mode and some four-mode Gaussian operators over product pure states are achieved by vacuum (or coherent states and squeezed states) according to the properties of Bosonic Gaussian channels. Then we have necessary and sufficient criteria of separability not only for Gaussian quantum states, but also for non-Gaussian states prepared by photon adding to or/and subtracting from Gaussian states. The criterion can be further explicitly expressed with covariance matrix of the Gaussian state or covariance matrix of Gaussian kernel of the non-Gaussian state. This opens a way for precise detection of non-Gaussian entanglement.

Distributed Spectrum and Power Allocation for D2D-U Networks: A Scheme based on NN and Federated Learning

In this paper, a Device-to-Device communication on unlicensed bands (D2D-U) enabled network is studied. To improve the spectrum efficiency (SE) on the unlicensed bands and fit its distributed structure while ensuring the fairness among D2D-U links and the harmonious coexistence with WiFi networks, a distributed joint power and spectrum scheme is proposed. In particular, a parameter, named as price, is defined, which is updated at each D2D-U pair by a online trained Neural network (NN) according to the channel state and traffic load. In addition, the parameters used in the NN are updated by two ways, unsupervised self-iteration and federated learning, to guarantee the fairness and harmonious coexistence. Then, a non-convex optimization problem with respect to the spectrum and power is formulated and solved on each D2D-U link to maximize its own data rate. Numerical simulation results are demonstrated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Learning-based WiFi Traffic Load Estimation in NR-U Systems

The unlicensed spectrum has been utilized to make up the shortage on frequency spectrum in new radio (NR) systems. To fully exploit the advantages brought by the unlicensed bands, one of the key issues is to guarantee the fair coexistence with WiFi systems. To reach this goal, timely and accurate estimation on the WiFi traffic loads is an important prerequisite. In this paper, a machine learning (ML) based method is proposed to detect the number of WiFi users on the unlicensed bands. An unsupervised Neural Network (NN) structure is applied to filter the detected transmission collision probability on the unlicensed spectrum, which enables the NR users to precisely rectify the measurement error and estimate the number of active WiFi users. Moreover, NN is trained online and the related parameters and learning rate of NN are jointly optimized to estimate the number of WiFi users adaptively with high accuracy. Simulation results demonstrate that compared with the conventional Kalman Filter based detection mechanism, the proposed approach has lower complexity and can achieve a more stable and accurate estimation.

Distributed Spectrum-Aware Clustering in Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks

A novel Distributed Spectrum-Aware Clustering (DSAC) scheme is proposed in the context of Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks (CRSN). DSAC aims at forming energy efficient clusters in a self-organized fashion while restricting interference to Primary User (PU) systems. The spectrum-aware clustered structure is presented where the communications consist of intra-cluster aggregation and inter-cluster relaying. In order to save communication power, the optimal number of clusters is derived and the idea of groupwise constrained clustering is introduced to minimize intra-cluster distance under spectrum-aware constraint. In terms of practical implementation, DSAC demonstrates preferable scalability and stability because of its low complexity and quick convergence under dynamic PU activity. Finally, simulation results are given to validate the proposed scheme.

Energy Efficient Joint Source and Channel Sensing in Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks

A novel concept of Joint Source and Channel Sensing (JSCS) is introduced in the context of Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks (CRSN). Every sensor node has two basic tasks: application-oriented source sensing and ambient-oriented channel sensing. The former is to collect the application-specific source information and deliver it to the access point within some limit of distortion, while the latter is to find the vacant channels and provide spectrum access opportunities for the sensed source information. With in-depth exploration, we find that these two tasks are actually interrelated when taking into account the energy constraints. The main focus of this paper is to minimize the total power consumed by these two tasks while bounding the distortion of the application-specific source information. Firstly, we present a specific slotted sensing and transmission scheme, and establish the multi-task power consumption model. Secondly, we jointly analyze the interplay between these two sensing tasks, and then propose a proper sensing and power allocation scheme to minimize the total power consumption. Finally, Simulation results are given to validate the proposed scheme.

Ergodic Capacity Comparison of Different Relay Precoding Schemes in Dual-Hop AF Systems with Co-Channel Interference

In this paper, we analyze the ergodic capacity of a dual-hop amplify-and-forward relaying system where the relay is equipped with multiple antennas and subject to co-channel interference (CCI) and the additive white Gaussian noise. Specifically, we consider three heuristic precoding schemes, where the relay first applies the 1) maximal-ratio combining (MRC) 2) zero-forcing (ZF) 3) minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) principle to combine the signal from the source, and then steers the transformed signal towards the destination with the maximum ratio transmission (MRT) technique. For the MRC/MRT and MMSE/MRT schemes, we present new tight analytical upper and lower bounds for the ergodic capacity, while for the ZF/MRT scheme, we derive a new exact analytical ergodic capacity expression. Moreover, we make a comparison among all the three schemes, and our results reveal that, in terms of the ergodic capacity performance, the MMSE/MRT scheme always has the best performance and the ZF/MRT scheme is slightly inferior, while the MRC/MRT scheme is always the worst one. Finally, the asymptotic behavior of ergodic capacity for the three proposed schemes are characterized in large $N$ scenario, where $N$ is the number of relay antennas. Our results reveal that, in the large $N$ regime, both the ZF/MRT and MMSE/MRT schemes have perfect interference cancelation capability, which is not possible with the MRC/MRT scheme.

Performance Analysis for Physical Layer Security in Multi-Antenna Downlink Networks with Limited CSI Feedback

Channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter is of importance to the performance of physical layer security based on multi-antenna networks. Specifically, CSI is not only beneficial to improve the capacity of the legitimate channel, but also can be used to degrade the performance of the eavesdropper channel. Thus, the secrecy rate increases accordingly. This letter focuses on the quantitative analysis of the ergodic secrecy sum-rate in terms of feedback amount of the CSI from the legitimate users in multiuser multi-antenna downlink networks. Furthermore, the asymptotic characteristics of the ergodic secrecy sum-rate in two extreme cases is investigated in some detail. Finally, our theoretical claims are confirmed by the numerical results.
