Chern forms of hermitian metrics with analytic singularities on vector bundles

We define Chern and Segre forms, or rather currents, associated with a Griffiths positive singular hermitian metric $h$ with analytic singularities on a holomorphic vector bundle $E$. The currents are constructed as pushforwards of generalized Monge-Ampère products on the projectivization of $E$. The Chern and Segre currents represent the Chern and Segre classes of $E$, respectively, and coincide with the Chern and Segre forms of $E$ and $h$, where $h$ is smooth. Moreover, our currents coincide with the Chern and Segre forms constructed by the first three authors and Ruppenthal in the cases when these are defined.

The $\bar\partial$-equation for $(p,q)$-forms on a non-reduced analytic space

On any pure $n$-dimensional, possibly non-reduced, analytic space $X$ we introduce the sheaves $\mathscr{E}_X^{p,q}$ of smooth $(p,q)$-forms and certain extensions $\mathscr{A}_X^{p,q}$ of them such that the corresponding Dolbeault complex is exact, i.e., the $\bar\partial$-equation is locally solvable in $\mathscr{A}_X$. The sheaves $\mathscr{A}_X^{p,q}$ are modules over the smooth forms, in particular, they are fine sheaves. We also introduce certain sheaves $\mathscr{B}_X^{n-p,n-q}$ of currents on $X$ that are dual to $\mathscr{A}_X^{p,q}$ in the sense of Serre duality. More precisely, we show that the compactly supported Dolbeault cohomology of $\mathscr{B}^{n-p,n-q}(X)$ in a natural way is the dual of the Dolbeault cohomology of $\mathscr{A}^{p,q}(X)$.

A comparison formula for residue currents

Given two ideals $\mathcal{I}$ and $\mathcal{J}$ of holomorphic functions such that $\mathcal{I} \subseteq \mathcal{J}$, we describe a comparison formula relating the Andersson-Wulcan currents of $\mathcal{I}$ and $\mathcal{J}$. More generally, this comparison formula holds for residue currents associated to two generically exact Hermitian complexes together with a morphism between the complexes. One application of the comparison formula is a generalization of the transformation law for Coleff-Herrera products to Andersson-Wulcan currents of Cohen-Macaulay ideals. We also use it to give an analytic proof by means of residue currents of theorems of Hickel, Vasconcelos and Wiebe related to the Jacobian ideal of a holomorphic mapping.

On a mixed Monge-Ampère operator for quasiplurisubharmonic functions with analytic singularities

We consider mixed Monge-Ampère products of quasiplurisubharmonic functions with analytic singularities, and show that such products may be regularized as explicit one parameter limits of mixed Monge-Ampère products of smooth functions, generalizing results of Andersson, Błocki and the last author in the case of non-mixed Monge-Ampère products. Connections to the theory of residue currents, going back to Coleff-Herrera, Passare and others, play an important role in the proof. As a consequence we get an approximation of Chern and Segre currents of certain singular hermitian metrics on vector bundles by smooth forms in the corresponding Chern and Segre classes.

The $\bar{\partial}$-equation on a non-reduced analytic space

Let $X$ be a, possibly non-reduced, analytic space of pure dimension. We introduce a notion of $\overline{\partial}$-equation on $X$ and prove a Dolbeault-Grothendieck lemma. We obtain fine sheaves $\mathcal{A}_X^q$ of $(0,q)$-currents, so that the associated Dolbeault complex yields a resolution of the structure sheaf $\mathscr{O}_X$. Our construction is based on intrinsic semi-global Koppelman formulas on $X$.

On the duality theorem on an analytic variety

The duality theorem for Coleff-Herrera products on a complex manifold says that if $f = (f_1,\dots,f_p)$ defines a complete intersection, then the annihilator of the Coleff-Herrera product $μ^f$ equals (locally) the ideal generated by $f$. This does not hold unrestrictedly on an analytic variety $Z$. We give necessary, and in many cases sufficient conditions for when the duality theorem holds. These conditions are related to how the zero set of $f$ intersects certain singularity subvarieties of the sheaf $\mathcal{O}_Z$.

Computing residue currents of monomial ideals using comparison formulas

Given a free resolution of an ideal $\mathfrak{a}$ of holomorphic functions, one can construct a vector-valued residue current, $R$, which coincides with the classical Coleff-Herrera product if $\mathfrak{a}$ is a complete intersection ideal and whose annihilator ideal is precisely ~$\mathfrak{a}$. We give a complete description of $R$ in the case when $\mathfrak{a}$ is an Artinian monomial ideal and the resolution is the hull resolution (or a more general cellular resolution), extending previous results by the second author. The main ingredient in the proof is a comparison formula for residue currents due to the first author. By means of this description we obtain in the monomial case a current version of a factorization of the fundamental cycle of $\mathfrak{a}$ due to Lejeune-Jalabert.

Residue currents associated with weakly holomorphic functions

We construct Coleff-Herrera products and Bochner-Martinelli type residue currents associated with a tuple $f$ of weakly holomorphic functions, and show that these currents satisfy basic properties from the (strongly) holomorphic case, as the transformation law, the Poincaré-Lelong formula and the equivalence of the Coleff-Herrera product and the Bochner-Martinelli type residue current associated with $f$ when $f$ defines a complete intersection.

Various approaches to products of residue currents

We describe various approaches to Coleff-Herrera products of residue currents $R^j$ (of Cauchy-Fantappiè-Leray type) associated to holomorphic mappings $f_j$. More precisely, we study to which extent (exterior) products of natural regularizations of the individual currents $R^j$ yield regularizations of the corresponding Coleff-Herrera products. Our results hold globally on an arbitrary pure-dimensional complex space.
