Homotopy quotients and comodules of supercommutative Hopf algebras

We study induced model structures on Frobenius categories. In particular we consider the case where $\mathcal{C}$ is the category of comodules of a supercommutative Hopf algebra $A$ over a field $k$. Given a graded Hopf algebra quotient $A \to B$ satisfying some finiteness conditions, the Frobenius tensor category $\mathcal{D}$ of graded $B$-comodules with its stable model structure induces a monoidal model structure on $\mathcal{C}$. We consider the corresponding homotopy quotient $γ: \mathcal{C} \to Ho \mathcal{C}$ and the induced quotient $\mathcal{T} \to Ho \mathcal{T}$ for the tensor category $\mathcal{T}$ of finite dimensional $A$-comodules. Under some mild conditions we prove vanishing and finiteness theorems for morphisms in $Ho \mathcal{T}$. We apply these results in the $Rep (GL(m|n))$-case and study its homotopy category $Ho \mathcal{T}$.

Spinor Euler factors for GSp(4) in the subregular case

For local non-archimedean fields $k$, Piatetski-Shapiro has defined local spinor $L$-factors for irreducible representations $Π$ of $\mathrm{GSp}(4,k)$ of dimension $>1$, attached to a choice of a Bessel model $Λ$. We classify regular poles that do not come from the asymptotic of the Bessel functions in the Bessel model. For anisotropic Bessel models there are no such subregular poles.

Phantom holomorphic projections arising from Sturm's formula

We show the analytic continuation of certain Siegel Poincaré series to their critical point for weight three in genus two. We proof that this continuation posesses a nonhomomorphic part and describe it. We show that Sturm's operator also produces a nonhomorphic share for weight three, we call it a phantom term. Weight three is the distinguished weight for genus two where this phenomenon arises.

On the Tannaka group attached to the Theta divisor of a generic principally polarized abelian variety

To any closed subvariety $Y$ of a complex abelian variety one can attach a reductive algebraic group $G$ which is determined by the decomposition of the convolution powers of $Y$ via a certain Tannakian formalism. For a theta divisor $Y$ on a principally polarized abelian variety, this group $G$ provides a new invariant that naturally endows the moduli space $A_g$ of principally polarized abelian varieties of dimension $g$ with a finite constructible stratification. We determine $G$ for a generic principally polarized abelian variety, and for $g=4$ we show that the stratification detects the locus of Jacobian varieties inside the moduli space of abelian varieties.

Vanishing Theorems for constructible Sheaves on Abelian Varieties

We show that the hypercohomology of most character twists of perverse sheaves on a complex abelian variety vanishes in all non-zero degrees. As a consequence we obtain a vanishing theorem for constructible sheaves and a relative vanishing theorem for a homomorphism between abelian varieties. Our proof relies on a Tannakian description for convolution products of perverse sheaves, and with future applications in mind we discuss the basic properties of the arising Tannaka groups.

Semisimple Super Tannakian Categories with a small Tensor Generator

We consider semisimple super Tannakian categories generated by an object whose symmetric or alternating tensor square is simple up to trivial summands. Using representation theory, we provide a criterion to identify the corresponding Tannaka super groups that applies in many situations. As an example we discuss the tensor category generated by the convolution powers of an algebraic curve inside its Jacobian variety.

Remarks on the Fundamental Lemma for stable twisted Endoscopy of Classical Groups

The twisted fundamental lemmas for three series of stable twisted endoscopy (Sp_{2n} to PGL_{2n+1}, GSpin_{2n+1} to GL_{2n}\times GL_1, Sp_{2n} to SO_{2n+2}) will be reduced to a fundamental-lemma-like statement for ordinary (i.e. untwisted) stable orbital integrals on the groups $\SO_{2n+1}$ of type $B_n$ resp. $\SP_{2n}$ of type $C_n$. This manusript, written around 2001, anticipates similar results of Waldspurger (2008), and may be used to reduce the twisted fundamental lemma to the work of Ngo. The original aim was to reduce the fundumantal lemma for the lift from Sp_4 to PGL_5 to the twisted fundamental lemma for the lift from GSp_4=GSpin_5 to Gl_4 \times GL_1.

Model structures, categorial quotients and representations of super commutative Hopf algebras II, The case Gl(m,n)

We construct a tensor functor from the category of super representations of the superlinear group Gl(m,n) over a field of characteristic zero to the category of super representations of the linear group Gl(m-n) over some extension field (for m at least equal to n). We show that this functor maps irreducible representations to isotypic representations, and we compute the multiplicities.
