A Family of Homogeneous Operators In The Cowen-Douglas Class Over The Poly-disc

We construct a large family of positive-definite kernels $K: \mathbb{D}^n\times \mathbb{D}^n \to \mbox{M} (r, \mathbb C)$, holomorphic in the first variable and anti-holomorphic in the second, that are quasi-invariant with respect to the subgroup $\mbox{Möb} \times\cdots\times \mbox{Möb}$ (nn times) of the bi-holomorphic automorphism group of Dn\mathbb{D}^n. The adjoint of the nn - tuples of multiplication operators by the co-ordinate functions on the Hilbert spaces HK\mathcal H_K determined by KK is then homogeneous with respect to this subgroup. We show that these nn - tuples are irreducible, are in the Cowen-Douglas class Br(Dn)\mathrm B_r(\mathbb D^n) and that they are mutually pairwise unitarily inequivalent.

Homogeneous Hermitian Holomorphic Vector Bundles And Operators In The Cowen-Douglas Class Over The Poly-disc

In this article, we obtain two sets of results. The first set of complete results are exclusively for the case of the bi-disc while the second set of results describe in part, which of these carry over to the general case of the poly-disc: * A classification of irreducible hermitian holomorphic vector bundles over D2\mathbb{D}^2, homogeneous with respect to $\mbox{Möb}\times \mbox{Möb}$, is obtained assuming that the associated representations are \textit{multiplicity-free}. Among these the ones that give rise to an operator in the Cowen-Douglas class of D2\mathbb{D}^2 of rank 1,21,2 or 33 is determined. * Any hermitian holomorphic vector bundle of rank 22 over Dn\mathbb{D}^n, homogeneous with respect to the nn-fold product of the group $\mbox{Möb}$ is shown to be a tensor product of n−1n-1 hermitian holomorphic line bundles, each of which is homogeneous with respect to $\mbox{Möb}$ and a hermitian holomorphic vector bundle of rank 22, homogeneous with respect to $\mbox{Möb}$. * The classification of irreducible homogeneous hermitian holomorphic vector buldles over D2\mathbb{D}^2 of rank 33 (as well as the corresponding Cowen-Douglas class of operators) is extended to the case of Dn\mathbb{D}^n, n>2n>2. * It is shown that there is no irreducible nn - tuple of operators in the Cowen-Douglas class B2(Dn)\mathrm B_2(\mathbb{D}^n) that is homogeneous with respect $\mbox{Aut}(\mathbb{D}^n)$, n>1n >1. Also, pairs of operators in B3(D2)\mathrm B_3(\mathbb{D}^2) homogeneous with respect to $\mbox{Aut}(\mathbb{D}^2)$ are produced, while it is shown that no nn - tuple of operators in B3(Dn)\mathrm B_3(\mathbb{D}^n) is homogeneous with respect to $\mbox{Aut}(\mathbb{D}^n)$, n>2n > 2.

On irreducibility of a certain class of homogeneous operators obtained from quotient modules

Let Ω⊂Cm Ω\subset \mathbb{C}^m be an open, connected and bounded set and A(Ω)\mathcal{A}(Ω) be a function algebra of holomorphic functions on ΩΩ. Suppose that Mq\mathcal{M}_q is the quotient Hilbert module obtained from a submodule of functions in a Hilbert module M\mathcal{M} vanishing to order kk along a smooth irreducible complex analytic set Z⊂Ω\mathcal{Z}\subsetΩ of codimension at least 22. In this article, we prove that the compression of the multiplication operators onto Mq\mathcal{M}_q is homogeneous with respect to a suitable subgroup of the automorphism group Aut(Ω)(Ω) of ΩΩ depending upon a subgroup GG of Aut(Ω)(Ω) whenever the tuple of multiplication operators on M\mathcal{M} is homogeneous with respect to GG and both M\mathcal{M} as well as Mq\mathcal{M}_q are in the Cowen-Douglas class. We show that these compression of multiplication operators might be reducible even if the tuple of multiplication operators on M\mathcal{M} is irreducible by exhibiting a concrete example. Moreover, the irreducible components of these reducible operators are identified as Generalized Wilkins' operators.
