Updates of PDFs for the 2nd LHC run

I present results on continuing updates in PDFs within the framework now called MMHT14 due to both theory improvements and the inclusion of new data sets, including most of the up-to-date LHC data. A new set of PDFs is essentially finalised, with no changes expected to the PDFs presented here.

Soft-collinear effects for prompt photon production via fragmentation

We study the impact of leading soft-collinear effects on threshold and joint-resummed calculations for the production of prompt photons via parton fragmentation, complementing a previous study for direct production. We assess these effects for both fixed-target and collider kinematics. We find them to be small, but noticeable and comparable to the direct case.

We review the recent theoretical progress in single-top physics at hadron colliders. Apart from single-top production within the Standard Model we treat certain aspects of single-top production in beyond Standard Model scenarios.
