Exchange Coulomb interaction in nanotubes: Dispersion of Langmuir waves

Microscopic derivation of the Coulomb exchange interaction for electrons located on the nanotubes is presented. Our derivation is based on the many-particle quantum hydrodynamic method. We demonstrate the role of the curvature of the nanocylinders on the force of the exchange interaction. We calculate corresponding dispersion dependencies for electron oscillations on the nanotubes.

Balance equations in semi-relativistic quantum hydrodynamics

Method of the quantum hydrodynamics has been applied in quantum plasmas studies. As the first step in our consideration, derivation of classical semi-relativistic (i. e. described by the Darwin Lagrangian on microscopic level) hydrodynamical equations is given after a brief review of method development. It provides better distinguishing between classic and quantum semi-relativistic effects. Derivation of the classical equations is interesting since it is made by a natural, but not very widespread method. This derivation contains explicit averaging of the microscopic dynamics. Derivation of corresponding quantum hydrodynamic equations is presented further. Equations are obtained in the five-momentum approximation including the continuity equation, Euler and energy balance equations. It is shown that relativistic corrections lead to presence of new quantum terms in expressions for a force field, a work field etc. The semi-relativistic generalization of the quantum Bohm potential is obtained. Quantum part of the energy current, which is an analog of the quantum Bohm potential for the energy evolution equation, is derived. The Langmuir wave dispersion in semi-relativistic quantum plasmas, corresponding to the Darwin Lagrangian, is also considered to demonstrate contribution of semi-relativistic effects on basic plasma phenomenon.

Classic hydrodynamic and kinetic formalism as averaging of delta-functional particle images

Critical analyses of well-known methods of derivation of kinetic and hydrodynamic equations is presented. Another method of derivation of kinetic and hydrodynamic equations from classic mechanics is described. It is shown that equations of classic hydrodynamics can be derived directly from microscopic picture of motion, without using of kinetic equations as an intermediate step. New method of derivation of equation of macroscopic motion includes explicit averaging of microscopic motion on infinitesimally small piece of medium. This averaging leads to presence of electric dipole, magnetic dipole, and higher moments along with the charge density and the current density in hydrodynamic equations. The method under consideration allows to derive equations of evolution for new quantities.

Dispersion properties of transverse waves propagating in the electrically polarized BECs

Further development of the method of quantum hydrodynamics in application for Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) is presented. To consider evolution of polarization direction along with particles movement we have developed corresponding set of quantum hydrodynamic equations. It includes equations of the polarization evolution and the polarization current evolution along with the continuity equation and the Euler equation (the momentum balance equation). Dispersion properties of the transverse waves including the electromagnetic waves propagating through the BECs are considered. To this end we consider full set of the Maxwell equations for description of electromagnetic field dynamics. This approximation gives us possibility to consider the electromagnetic waves along with the matter waves. We find a splitting of the electromagnetic wave dispersion on two branches. As a result we have four solutions, two for the electromagnetic waves and two for the matter waves, the last two are the concentration-polarization waves appearing as a generalization of the Bogoliubov mode. We also obtain that if the matter wave propagate perpendicular to external electric field when dipolar contribution does not disappear (as it follows from our generalization of the Bogoliubov spectrum). In this case exist a small dipolar frequency shift due to transverse electric field of perturbation.

Langmuir waves dispersion in semi-relativistic spinless quantum plasmas

Many particle quantum hydrodynamics based on the Darwin Hamiltonian (the Hamiltonian corresponding to the Darwin Lagrangian) is considered. A force field appearing in corresponding Euler equation is considered in details. Contributions from different terms of the Darwin Hamiltonian in the Euler equation are traced. For example, the relativistic correction to the kinetic energy of particles leads to several terms in the Euler equation, these terms have different form. One of them has a form similar to a term appearing from the Darwin term. Hence, the two different mechanisms give analogous contributions in wave dispersion. Microscopic analog of the Biot-Savart law, called the current-current interaction and describing an interaction of moving charges via the magnetic field, is also included in our description. The semi-relativistic generalization of the quantum Bohm potential is obtained. Contribution of the relativistic effects in the spectrum of plasma collective excitations is considered.

Many-particle quantum hydrodynamics: Basic principles and fundamental applications

We present a detailed derivation of the continuity, Euler, and energy balance equations from many particle Schrodinger equation. Interparticle interaction is explicitly considered as the Coulomb interaction. We show the QHD equations in a form suitable for low dimensional systems. The QHD equations in the cylindrical and spherical coordinates are presented as well. We present a method of non-linear Schrodinger equation derivation from the QHD equations. We describe a method of exchange interaction calculation for two- and three-dimensional quantum plasmas. We discuss explicit form and area of applicability of equations of state for 1D, 2D, and 3D degenerate electrons. We explicitly consider equations of state for degenerate electron gas in an external magnetic field. Considering QHD equations in cylindrical coordinates we focus our attention on the quantum part of the inertia forces and contribution of the quantum Bohm potential to the spectrum of quantum cylindrical waves. Collective excitations of 2DEG on spherical surface are considered. Equation of state for degenerate 2DEG on a spherical surface is obtained. We apply the QHD equations to small amplitude collective excitations in linear regime of QHD equations. We consider the Langmuir waves in 1D, 2D, and 3D quantum plasmas including the exchange Coulomb interaction. Considering quantum plasmas located in an external magnetic field we focus our attention on longitudinal waves propagating perpendicular to the external magnetic field. We present this consideration for 1D, 2D, and 3D plasmas. We discuss dependence of the exchange interaction on rate of polarization of spins in the external magnetic field. We include dependence of the pressure of degenerate electrons on the strength of the external magnetic field via the change of occupation of quantum states at application of an external magnetic field.

Spin waves and spin instabilities in quantum plasmas

We describe main ideas of method of many-particle quantum hydrodynamics allows to derive equations for description of quantum plasma evolution. We also present definitions of collective quantum variables suitable for quantum plasmas. We show that evolution of magnetic moments (spins) in quantum plasmas leads to several new branches of wave dispersion: spin-electromagnetic plasma waves and self-consistent spin waves. Propagation of neutron beams through quantum plasmas is also considered. Instabilities appearing due to interaction of magnetic moments of neutrons with plasma are described.

Exact analytical soliton solutions in dipolar BEC

The bright, dark and grey solitons are well-known soliton solutions of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation for the attractive and repulsive BEC. We consider solitons in the dipolar BEC of the fully polarized particles, speaking of the dipolar BEC we mean both the magnetized BEC and the electrically polarized BEC. We show that these two types of the dipolar BEC reveal different behavior of the collective excitations. This is related to the fact that the electric and the magnetic fields satisfy to the different pairs of the Maxwell equation set. Thus we consider them independently. We obtain exact analytical solutions for the bright, dark, and grey solitons in the magnetized (electrically polarized) BEC when they propagate parallel and perpendicular to an external magnetic (electric) field. Comparison of spectrum of the linear collective excitations for the two kinds of the dipolar BEC is presented as well.

Quantum kinetics of spinning neutral particles: General theory and Spin wave dispersion

Plasma physics give an example of physical system of particles with the long range interaction. At small velocity of particles we can consider the plasma approximately as a system of particles with the Coulomb interaction. The Coulomb interaction is isotropic. Systems of spinning neutral particles have long-range anisotropic interparticle interaction. So, they can reveal more reach properties than plasma. Furthermore for studying of systems of spinning particles we can develop kinetic and hydrodynamic methods analogous to used for the plasma. We derive kinetic equations by a new method, which is the generalization of the many-particle quantum hydrodynamics. Obtained set of kinetic equations is truncated, so we have closed set of two equations. One of them is the kinetic equation for quantum distribution function. The second equation is the equation for the spin-distribution. Which describes the spin kinetic evolution and gives contribution in time evolution of the distribution function. Our method allows to obtain equations as for three dimensional system of particles and for low dimensional systems. So, we consider spin waves in three- and two dimensional systems of neutral spinning particles.

Self-consistent field theory of polarized BEC: dispersion of collective excitation

We suggest the construction of a set of the quantum hydrodynamics equations for the Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC), where atoms have the electric dipole moment. The contribution of the dipole-dipole interactions (DDI) to the Euler equation is obtained. Quantum equations for the evolution of medium polarization are derived. Developing mathematical method allows to study effect of interactions on the evolution of polarization. The developing method can be applied to various physical systems in which dynamics is affected by the DDI. Derivation of Gross-Pitaevskii equation for polarized particles from the quantum hydrodynamics is described. We showed that the Gross-Pitaevskii equation appears at condition when all dipoles have the same direction which does not change in time. Comparison of the equation of the electric dipole evolution with the equation of the magnetization evolution is described. Dispersion of the collective excitations in the dipolar BEC, either affected or not affected by the uniform external electric field, is considered using our method. We show that the evolution of polarization in the BEC leads to the formation of a novel type of the collective excitations. Detailed description of the dispersion of collective excitations is presented. We also consider the process of wave generation in the polarized BEC by means of a monoenergetic beam of neutral polarized particles. We compute the possibilities of the generation of Bogoliubov and polarization modes by the dipole beam.

Waves of spin-current in magnetized dielectrics

Spin-current is an important physical quantity in present day spintronics and it might be very usefull in the physics of quantum plasma of spinning particles. Thus it is important to have an equation of the spin-current evolution. This equation naturally appears as a part of a set of the quantum hydrodynamics (QHD) equations. Consequently, we present the set of the QHD equations derived from the many-particle microscopic Schrodinger equation, which consists of the continuity equation, the Euler equation, the Bloch equation and equation of the spin-current evolution. We use these equations to study dispersion of the collective excitations in the three dimensional samples of the magnetized dielectrics. We show that dynamics of the spin-current leads to formation of new type of the collective excitations in the magnetized dielectrics, which we called spin-current waves.

Bright-like soliton solution in quasi-one-dimensional BEC in third order on interaction radius

Nonlinear Schrödinger equations and corresponding quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) equations are widely used in studying ultracold boson-fermion mixtures and superconductors. In this article, we show that a more exact account of interaction in Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC), in comparison with the Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) approximation, leads to the existence of a new type of solitons. We use a set of QHD equations in the third order by the interaction radius (TOIR), which corresponds to the GP equation in a first order by the interaction radius. The solution for the soliton in a form of expression for the particle concentration is obtained analytically. The conditions of existence of the soliton are studied. It is shown what solution exists if the interaction between the particles is repulsive. Particle concentration of order of $10^{12}$-$10^{14}$ $cm^{-3}$ has been achieved experimentally for the BEC, the solution exists if the scattering length is of the order of 1 $μ$m, which can be reached using the Feshbach resonance. It is one of the limit case of existence of new solution. The corresponding scattering length decrease with the increasing of concentration of particles. The investigation of effects in the TOIR approximation gives a more detail information on interaction potentials between the atoms and can be used for a more detail investigation into the potential structure.

Classical microscopic derivation of the relativistic hydrodynamics equations

We present microscopic derivation of the relativistic hydrodynamics (RHD) equations directly from mechanics omitting derivation of kinetic equation. We derive continuity equation and energy-momentum conservation law. We also derive equation of evolution of particles current. In non-relativistic hydrodynamics equation of particles current evolution coincide with the equation of momentum evolution, the Maxwell's equations contain concentration and electric current (which proportional to the particles current), so, to get a close set of equations we should have equations of evolution of the concentration and the particles current. Evolution of the particles current depends on the electrical and magnetic fields. Thus, we obtain the set of the RHD equations as the set of the continuity equation, the equation of particles current and the Maxwell equations. This approximation does not require to include the evolution of momentum and allows to consider physical problems. Certainly, particles current evolution equation contains some new functions which we can express via concentration and particles current or we can derive equation for this functions, and, thus, get to more general approximation. This approximation also developed and discussed in this paper.

Collective excitations of graphene excitons being in the Bose-Einstein condensate state

Bose-Einstein condensation of the excitons in graphene is considered. We suggested the model spinor equation for neutral particles with short range interaction described the microscopic graphene excitons dynamic. Using this equation we derived quantum hydrodynamic equations for description of collective properties of excitons in graphene, particularly for the case when excitons being in the Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) state. The dispersion of collective excitations in graphene excitons BEC is studied. We shown that frequency of collective excitations is proportional to the square root of the wave vector module: $ω\sim \sqrt{k}$.

Longitudinal waves in electrically polarized quantum Fermi gas: quantum hydrodynamics approximation

The method of many-particle quantum hydrodynamics has been recently developed, particularly this method has been used for an electrically polarized Bose-Einstein condensate. In this paper, we present the development of this method for an electrically polarized three dimensional Fermi gas. We derive corresponding dynamical equations: equation polarization and equation of polarization current evolution as well as the Euler and continuity equations. We study dispersion dependencies of collective excitations in a polarized Fermi gas and consider interference of an equilibrium polarization on dispersion properties.

Self-consistent spin waves in magnetized BEC

We obtain equations of quantum hydrodynamic (QHD) for magnetized spin-1 neutral Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC). System of QHD equations contains the equation of magnetic moment evolution (an analog of the Bloch equation). We account spin-spin interaction along with the short range interaction. We consider self-consistent field approximation of QHD equations. Starting from QHD equation we derive the Gross-Pitaevskii equation for magnetized BEC. We show that Gross-Pitaevskii equation exists under condition that the magnetic moment direction is not change. Using obtained QHD equations we study the dispersion of collective excitation. As in electrically polarized BEC [P. A. Andreev, L. S. Kuz'menkov, arXiv: 1201.2440], in the magnetically polarized BEC there is second wave mode (polarization mode or spin wave), in addition to the Bogoliubov's mode. Second wave solution appears due to the magnetic moment evolution. The influence of magnetization on dispersion of Bogoliubov's mode is found. We found strong difference of dispersion properties of waves in magnetized BEC from electrically polarized BEC.

Soliton appearing in boson-fermion mixture at the third order of the interaction radius

In this paper we consider an ultra-cold mixture of boson and fermion atoms on the basis of quantum hydrodynamics. Small perturbations in such systems are being analyzed. A possibility is shown for soliton solutions of a new type to appear if the third order of the interaction radius is taken into account in the analysis of interactions. A fermion-fermion interaction occurs in explicit form if this approximation is accepted. The conditions that lead to occurrence of this type of soliton in a mixture of boson and fermion atoms were investigated. Restrictions on the fermion-fermion interaction were found that are necessary for this kind of perturbations to appear in the system. Conditions determining whether perturbances would be a condensed soliton or a rarefied soliton are shown. Requirements to the experimental detection of a new soliton type in boson-fermion mixture are considered.

Waves of magnetic moment and generation of waves by neutron beam in quantum magnetized plasma

This paper is devoted to studying of dispersion of waves in the magnetized plasma with the spin and exploring of new methods of the generation wave in the plasma. We consider the dispersion of waves, existed in the plasma in consequence of dynamic of the magnetic moments. It is shown there are nine new waves in the magnetized plasma because of the magnetic moments dynamic. We show there are instabilities at propagation of the neutron beam through the plasma. Increments of instabilities caused by neutron beam are calculated. For studying of this effects we generalize and use the method of the many-particle quantum hydrodynamics. Described processes can play important role at calculation of the stability and the safeness of the nuclear reactors and the studying of the processes in the atmosphere of the neutron stars.

A quantum hydrodynamics approach to the formation of new types of waves in polarized two-dimension systems of charged and neutral particles

In this paper we explicate a method of quantum hydrodynamics (QHD) for the study of the quantum evolution of a system of polarized particles. Though we focused primarily on the two-dimension physical systems, the method is valid for three-dimension and one-dimension systems too. The presented method is based upon the Schrödinger equation. Fundamental QHD equations for charged and neutral particles were derived from the many-particle microscopic Schrödinger equation. The fact that particles possess the electric dipole moment (EDM) was taken into account. The explicated QHD approach was used to study dispersion characteristics of various physical systems. We analyzed dispersion of waves in a two-dimension (2D) ion and hole gas placed into an external electric field which is orthogonal to the gas plane. Elementary excitations in a system of neutral polarized particles were studied for 1D, 2D and 3D cases. The polarization dynamics in systems of both neutral and charged particles is shown to cause formation of a new type of waves as well as changes in the dispersion characteristics of already known waves. We also analyzed wave dispersion in 2D exciton systems, in 2D electron-ion plasma and 2D electron-hole plasma. Generation of waves in 3D system neutral particles with EDM by means of the beam of electrons and neutral polarized particles is investigated.

Dipole-dipole interaction and polarization mode in BEC

We propose the construction of a set of quantum hydrodynamics equations for the Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) where atoms have electric dipole moment (EDM). The contribution of the dipole-dipole interactions (DDI) to the Euler equation is estimated. Quantum equations for the evolution of medium polarization are constructed for the first time. The mathematical method we developed allows studying the effects of interactions on the evolution of polarization. The developed method may be applied to various physical systems in which dynamics is affected by DDI. A problem of elementary excitations in BEC, either affected or not affected by the uniform external electric field, is addressed using our method. We show that the evolution of polarization in BEC leads to the formation of a novel type of elementary excitations. Also, we consider the process of wave generation in polarized BEC by means of monoenergetic beam of neutral polarized particles. We compute the possibilities of the generation of Bogoliubov's modes and polarization modes by the dipole beam.
