Electrostatic Langmuir and SEAWs in spin polarized plasma double layer

The quantum hydrodynamic model of the electrostatic waves in the two parallel layers of two dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) is developed. It is considered for two regimes: classic regime and quantum regime with the separate spin evolution. Two Langmuir-like waves are found in classic case which have an interference-like pattern in the frequency dependence on concentration $ω^{2}\sim(n_{01}+n_{02}\pm2\sqrt{n_{01}n_{02}})$. They appear instead of two 2D Langmuir waves in noninteracting 2DEGs. The spectrum of four waves is found in the quantum regime. Two extra waves are related to the separate spin evolution and associated to the spin-electron acoustic waves. The influence of the quantum Bohm potential is considered either.

On a mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity: Spin-electron acoustic wave as a mechanism for the Cooper pair formation

We have found the mechanism of the electron Cooper pair formation via the electron interaction by means of the spin-electron acoustic waves. This mechanism takes place in metals with rather high spin polarization, like ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials. The spin-electron acoustic wave mechanism leads to transition temperatures 100 times higher than the transition temperature allowed by the electron-phonon interaction. Therefore, spin-electron acoustic waves give the explanation for the high-temperature superconductivity. We find that the transition temperature has strong dependence on the electron concentration and the spin polarization of the electrons.

On equation of state for the "thermal" part of the spin current: Pauli principle contribution in the spin wave spectrum in cold fermion system

Spin evolution opened a large field in quantum plasma research. The spin waves in plasmas were considered among new phenomena considered in spin-1/2 quantum plasmas. The spin density evolution equation found by means of the many-particle quantum hydrodynamics shows existence of the "thermal" part of the spin current, which is an analog of the thermal pressure, or the Fermi pressure for degenerate electron gas, existing in the Euler equation. However, this term has been dropped, since there has not been found any equation of state for the thermal part of the spin current (TPSC), like we have for the pressure. In this paper we derive the equation of state for the TPSC and apply it for study of spectrum of collective excitations in spin-1/2 quantum plasmas. We focus our research on the spectrum of spin waves, since this spectrum is affected by the thermal part of the spin current. We consider two kinds of plasmas: electron-ion plasma with motionless ions and degenerate electrons, and degenerate electron-positron plasmas. We also present the non-linear Pauli equation with the spinor pressure term containing described effects. The thermal part of the flux of spin current existing in the spin current evolution equation is also derived. We also consider the contribution of the TPSC in the grand generalized vorticity evolution.

Surface spin-electron acoustic waves in magnetically ordered metals

Degenerate plasmas with motionless ions show existence of three surface waves: the Langmuir wave, the electromagnetic wave, and the zeroth sound. Applying the separated spin evolution quantum hydrodynamics to half-space plasma we demonstrate the existence of the surface spin-electron acoustic wave (SSEAW). We study dispersion of the SSEAW. We show that there is hybridization between the surface Langmuir wave and the SSEAW at rather small spin polarization. In the hybridization area the dispersion branches are located close to each other. In this area there is a strong interaction between these waves leading to the energy exchange. Consequently, generating the Langmuir waves with the frequencies close to hybridization area we can generate the SSEAWs. Thus, we report a method of creation of the SEAWs.

Balance equations in semi-relativistic quantum hydrodynamics

Method of the quantum hydrodynamics has been applied in quantum plasmas studies. As the first step in our consideration, derivation of classical semi-relativistic (i. e. described by the Darwin Lagrangian on microscopic level) hydrodynamical equations is given after a brief review of method development. It provides better distinguishing between classic and quantum semi-relativistic effects. Derivation of the classical equations is interesting since it is made by a natural, but not very widespread method. This derivation contains explicit averaging of the microscopic dynamics. Derivation of corresponding quantum hydrodynamic equations is presented further. Equations are obtained in the five-momentum approximation including the continuity equation, Euler and energy balance equations. It is shown that relativistic corrections lead to presence of new quantum terms in expressions for a force field, a work field etc. The semi-relativistic generalization of the quantum Bohm potential is obtained. Quantum part of the energy current, which is an analog of the quantum Bohm potential for the energy evolution equation, is derived. The Langmuir wave dispersion in semi-relativistic quantum plasmas, corresponding to the Darwin Lagrangian, is also considered to demonstrate contribution of semi-relativistic effects on basic plasma phenomenon.

Classic hydrodynamic and kinetic formalism as averaging of delta-functional particle images

Critical analyses of well-known methods of derivation of kinetic and hydrodynamic equations is presented. Another method of derivation of kinetic and hydrodynamic equations from classic mechanics is described. It is shown that equations of classic hydrodynamics can be derived directly from microscopic picture of motion, without using of kinetic equations as an intermediate step. New method of derivation of equation of macroscopic motion includes explicit averaging of microscopic motion on infinitesimally small piece of medium. This averaging leads to presence of electric dipole, magnetic dipole, and higher moments along with the charge density and the current density in hydrodynamic equations. The method under consideration allows to derive equations of evolution for new quantities.

Influence of finite size of molecules on spectrum of fully polarized dipolar BECs: Generalization of Bogoliubov's spectrum

We discuss complete theory of point-like particles in fully polarized BECs describing difference in behaviour of electrically- and magnetically polarized BECs. Next we present generalization of this theory on finite size particles to include contribution of size of real molecules on dynamical properties of dipolar BECs. As an application of obtained equation we calculate spectrum of linear collective excitations getting generalization of the Bogoliubov's spectrum. We show absence of roton instability due to positivity of polarization contribution in the excitation spectrum. We found that new type of instabilities appears in small wave length limit due to finite size of molecules.

Ion sound and dust acoustic waves at finite size of plasma particles

We consider influence of finite size of ions on properties of classic plasmas. We focus our attention on the ion sound for electron-ion plasmas. We also consider dusty plasmas, where we account finite size of ions and particles of dust and consider the dispersion of dust acoustic waves. Finite size of particles affects classical plasma properties. Finite size of particles gives considerable contribution for small wave lengths, which is area of appearing of quantum effects. Consequently, it is very important to consider finite size of ions in quantum plasmas as well.

Many-particle quantum hydrodynamics: Basic principles and fundamental applications

We present a detailed derivation of the continuity, Euler, and energy balance equations from many particle Schrodinger equation. Interparticle interaction is explicitly considered as the Coulomb interaction. We show the QHD equations in a form suitable for low dimensional systems. The QHD equations in the cylindrical and spherical coordinates are presented as well. We present a method of non-linear Schrodinger equation derivation from the QHD equations. We describe a method of exchange interaction calculation for two- and three-dimensional quantum plasmas. We discuss explicit form and area of applicability of equations of state for 1D, 2D, and 3D degenerate electrons. We explicitly consider equations of state for degenerate electron gas in an external magnetic field. Considering QHD equations in cylindrical coordinates we focus our attention on the quantum part of the inertia forces and contribution of the quantum Bohm potential to the spectrum of quantum cylindrical waves. Collective excitations of 2DEG on spherical surface are considered. Equation of state for degenerate 2DEG on a spherical surface is obtained. We apply the QHD equations to small amplitude collective excitations in linear regime of QHD equations. We consider the Langmuir waves in 1D, 2D, and 3D quantum plasmas including the exchange Coulomb interaction. Considering quantum plasmas located in an external magnetic field we focus our attention on longitudinal waves propagating perpendicular to the external magnetic field. We present this consideration for 1D, 2D, and 3D plasmas. We discuss dependence of the exchange interaction on rate of polarization of spins in the external magnetic field. We include dependence of the pressure of degenerate electrons on the strength of the external magnetic field via the change of occupation of quantum states at application of an external magnetic field.

Oblique propagation of longitudinal waves in magnetized spin-1/2 plasmas: Independent evolution of spin-up and spin-down electrons

We consider quantum plasmas of electrons and motionless ions. We describe separate evolution of spin-up and spin-down electrons. We present corresponding set of quantum hydrodynamic equations. We assume that plasmas are placed in an uniform external magnetic field. We account different occupation of spin-up and spin-down quantum states in equilibrium degenerate plasmas. This effect is included via equations of state for pressure of each species of electrons. We study oblique propagation of longitudinal waves. We show that instead of two well-known waves (the Langmuir wave and the Trivelpiece--Gould wave), plasmas reveal four wave solutions. New solutions exist due to both the separate consideration of spin-up and spin-down electrons \textit{and} different occupation of spin-up and spin-down quantum states in equilibrium state of degenerate plasmas.

Separated spin-up and spin-down evolution of degenerated electrons in two dimensional systems: Dispersion of longitudinal collective excitations in plane and nanotube geometry

Applying the separated spin evolution quantum hydrodynamics to two-dimensional electron gas in plane samples and nanotubes located in external magnetic fields we find new kind of wave in electron gas, which is called the spin-electron acoustic wave. Separate spin-up electrons and spin-down electrons evolution reveals in replacement of the Langmuir wave by the couple of hybrid waves. One of two hybrid waves is the modified Langmuir wave. Another hybrid wave is the spin-electron acoustic wave. We study dispersion of these waves in two dimensional structures of electrons. We also consider dependence of dispersion properties on spin polarisation of electrons in external magnetic field.

Spin waves and spin instabilities in quantum plasmas

We describe main ideas of method of many-particle quantum hydrodynamics allows to derive equations for description of quantum plasma evolution. We also present definitions of collective quantum variables suitable for quantum plasmas. We show that evolution of magnetic moments (spins) in quantum plasmas leads to several new branches of wave dispersion: spin-electromagnetic plasma waves and self-consistent spin waves. Propagation of neutron beams through quantum plasmas is also considered. Instabilities appearing due to interaction of magnetic moments of neutrons with plasma are described.

Exact analytical soliton solutions in dipolar BEC

The bright, dark and grey solitons are well-known soliton solutions of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation for the attractive and repulsive BEC. We consider solitons in the dipolar BEC of the fully polarized particles, speaking of the dipolar BEC we mean both the magnetized BEC and the electrically polarized BEC. We show that these two types of the dipolar BEC reveal different behavior of the collective excitations. This is related to the fact that the electric and the magnetic fields satisfy to the different pairs of the Maxwell equation set. Thus we consider them independently. We obtain exact analytical solutions for the bright, dark, and grey solitons in the magnetized (electrically polarized) BEC when they propagate parallel and perpendicular to an external magnetic (electric) field. Comparison of spectrum of the linear collective excitations for the two kinds of the dipolar BEC is presented as well.

Influence of quantum energy equation on electronic plasma oscillations

Five-moment approximation in hydrodynamics includes not only continuity equation and momentum balance equation, but also energy equation. Set of hydrodynamic equations is presented for system of non-relativistic quantum particles with Coulomb interaction. This set of equations is linearized, and dispersion relation for Langmuir waves in quasi-neutral system of electrons and immobile ions is obtained.

Self-consistent field theory of polarized BEC: dispersion of collective excitation

We suggest the construction of a set of the quantum hydrodynamics equations for the Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC), where atoms have the electric dipole moment. The contribution of the dipole-dipole interactions (DDI) to the Euler equation is obtained. Quantum equations for the evolution of medium polarization are derived. Developing mathematical method allows to study effect of interactions on the evolution of polarization. The developing method can be applied to various physical systems in which dynamics is affected by the DDI. Derivation of Gross-Pitaevskii equation for polarized particles from the quantum hydrodynamics is described. We showed that the Gross-Pitaevskii equation appears at condition when all dipoles have the same direction which does not change in time. Comparison of the equation of the electric dipole evolution with the equation of the magnetization evolution is described. Dispersion of the collective excitations in the dipolar BEC, either affected or not affected by the uniform external electric field, is considered using our method. We show that the evolution of polarization in the BEC leads to the formation of a novel type of the collective excitations. Detailed description of the dispersion of collective excitations is presented. We also consider the process of wave generation in the polarized BEC by means of a monoenergetic beam of neutral polarized particles. We compute the possibilities of the generation of Bogoliubov and polarization modes by the dipole beam.

Waves of spin-current in magnetized dielectrics

Spin-current is an important physical quantity in present day spintronics and it might be very usefull in the physics of quantum plasma of spinning particles. Thus it is important to have an equation of the spin-current evolution. This equation naturally appears as a part of a set of the quantum hydrodynamics (QHD) equations. Consequently, we present the set of the QHD equations derived from the many-particle microscopic Schrodinger equation, which consists of the continuity equation, the Euler equation, the Bloch equation and equation of the spin-current evolution. We use these equations to study dispersion of the collective excitations in the three dimensional samples of the magnetized dielectrics. We show that dynamics of the spin-current leads to formation of new type of the collective excitations in the magnetized dielectrics, which we called spin-current waves.

Soliton appearing in boson-fermion mixture at the third order of the interaction radius

In this paper we consider an ultra-cold mixture of boson and fermion atoms on the basis of quantum hydrodynamics. Small perturbations in such systems are being analyzed. A possibility is shown for soliton solutions of a new type to appear if the third order of the interaction radius is taken into account in the analysis of interactions. A fermion-fermion interaction occurs in explicit form if this approximation is accepted. The conditions that lead to occurrence of this type of soliton in a mixture of boson and fermion atoms were investigated. Restrictions on the fermion-fermion interaction were found that are necessary for this kind of perturbations to appear in the system. Conditions determining whether perturbances would be a condensed soliton or a rarefied soliton are shown. Requirements to the experimental detection of a new soliton type in boson-fermion mixture are considered.

Waves of magnetic moment and generation of waves by neutron beam in quantum magnetized plasma

This paper is devoted to studying of dispersion of waves in the magnetized plasma with the spin and exploring of new methods of the generation wave in the plasma. We consider the dispersion of waves, existed in the plasma in consequence of dynamic of the magnetic moments. It is shown there are nine new waves in the magnetized plasma because of the magnetic moments dynamic. We show there are instabilities at propagation of the neutron beam through the plasma. Increments of instabilities caused by neutron beam are calculated. For studying of this effects we generalize and use the method of the many-particle quantum hydrodynamics. Described processes can play important role at calculation of the stability and the safeness of the nuclear reactors and the studying of the processes in the atmosphere of the neutron stars.
