On the Hilbert scheme of the moduli space of torsion free sheaves on surfaces

The aim of this paper is to determine a bound of the dimension of an irreducible component of the Hilbert scheme of the moduli space of torsion-free sheaves on surfaces. Let XX be a non-singular irreducible complex surface and let EE be a vector bundle of rank nn on XX. We use the mm-elementary transformation of EE at a point x∈Xx \in X to show that there exists an embedding from the Grassmannian variety G(Ex,m)\mathbb{G}(E_x,m) into the moduli space of torsion-free sheaves MX,H(n;c1,c2+m)\mathfrak{M}_{X,H}(n;c_1,c_2+m) which induces an injective morphism from X×MX,H(n;c1,c2)X \times M_{X,H}(n;c_1,c_2) to Hilb MX,H(n;c1,c2+m)Hilb_{\, \mathfrak{M}_{X,H}(n;c_1,c_2+m)}.

Geometry of Moduli Stacks of (k,l)(k,l)-stable vector bundles over an algebraic curve

We study the geometry of the moduli stack of vector bundles of fixed rank and degree over an algebraic curve by introducing a filtration made of open substacks build from (k,l)(k, l)-stable vector bundles. (k,l)(k, l)-stability was introduced by Narasimhan and Ramanan to study the geometry of the coarse moduli space of stable bundles. We will exhibit the stacky picture and analyse the geometric and cohomological properties of the moduli stacks of (k,l)(k, l)-stable vector bundles. For particular pairs (k,l)(k, l) of integers we also show that these moduli stacks admit coarse moduli spaces and we discuss their interplay.

On the Hilbert scheme of the moduli space of vector bundles over an algebraic curve

Let M(n,ξ)M(n,ξ) be the moduli space of stable vector bundles of rank n≥3n\geq 3 and fixed determinant ξξ over a smooth projective algebraic curve XX over C\mathbb{C} of genus g≥4.g\geq 4. We use the gonality of the curve and rr-Hecke morphisms to describe a smooth open set and to compute the dimension of a component of the Hilbert scheme HilbM(n,ξ)Hilb_{M(n,ξ)}, of the scheme of morphisms Mor(G,M(n,ξ))Mor(\mathbb{G},M(n,ξ)) and of the moduli space MX×G M_{X \times \mathbb{G}} of stable bundles over X×G,X\times \mathbb{G}, where G\mathbb{G} is the Grassmannian G(n−r,Cn)\mathbb{G}(n-r,\mathbb{C}^n). In particular, we prove that dim⁡MorP(P2,M(3,ξ))=8g−7\dim Mor_P(\mathbb{P}^2,M(3,ξ))=8g-7 and we give a sufficient condition for Mor2ns(P1,M(n,ξ))Mor_{2ns}(\mathbb{P}^1,M(n,ξ)) to be non-empty with s≥1.s\geq 1.
