Permutation orbifolds and associative algebras

Let VV be a vertex operator algebra and g=(1 2 ⋯k)g=\left(1\ 2\ \cdots k\right) be a kk-cycle which is viewed as an automorphism of the vertex operator algebra V⊗kV^{\otimes k}. It is proved that Dong-Li-Mason's associated associative algebra Ag(V⊗k)A_{g}\left(V^{\otimes k}\right) is isomorphic to Zhu's algebra A(V)A\left(V\right) explicitly. This result recovers a previous result that there is a one-to-one correspondence between irreducible gg-twisted V⊗kV^{\otimes k}-modules and irreducible VV-modules.

On irreducibility of modules of Whittaker type for cyclic orbifold vertex algebra

We extend the Dong-Mason theorem on the irreducibility of modules for orbifold vertex algebras from [C. Dong, G. Mason, Duke Math. J. 86 (1997)] 305-321] for the category of weak modules. Let VV be a vertex operator algebra, gg an automorphism of order pp. Let WW be an irreducible weak VV--module such that W,W∘g,…,W∘gp−1W,W\circ g,\dots,W\circ g^{p-1} are inequivalent irreducible modules. We prove that WW is an irreducible weak V⟨g⟩V^{\left\langle g\right\rangle }-module. This result can be applied on irreducible modules of certain Lie algebra L\mathfrak L such that W,W∘g,…,W∘gp−1W,W\circ g,\dots,W\circ g^{p-1} are Whittaker modules having different Whittaker functions. We present certain applications in the cases of the Heisenberg and Weyl vertex operator algebras.

Simple Whittaker modules over free bosonic orbifold vertex operator algebras

We construct weak (i.e. non-graded) modules over the vertex operator algebra M(1)+M(1)^+, which is the fixed-point subalgebra of the higher rank free bosonic (Heisenberg) vertex operator algebra with respect to the −1-1 automorphism. These weak modules are constructed from Whittaker modules for the higher rank Heisenberg algebra. We prove that the modules are simple as weak modules over M(1)+M(1)^+ and calculate their Whittaker type when regarded as modules for the Virasoro Lie algebra. Lastly, we show that any Whittaker module for the Virasoro Lie algebra occurs in this way. These results are a higher rank generalization of some results by Tanabe.

Filtrations and Homological degrees of FI-modules

Let kk be a commutative Noetherian ring. In this paper we consider filtered modules of the category FI firstly introduced by Nagpal. We show that a finitely generated FI-module VV is filtered if and only if its higher homologies all vanish, and if and only if a certain homology vanishes. Using this homological characterization, we characterize finitely generated FI-modules VV whose projective dimension is finite, and describe an upper bound for it. Furthermore, we give a new proof for the fact that VV induces a finite complex of filtered modules, and use it as well as a result of Church and Ellenberg to obtain another upper bound for homological degrees of VV.
