Some extensions of Berezin number inequalities on operators

In this paper, we establish some upper bounds for Berezin number inequalities including of 2×22\times 2 operator matrices and their off-diagonal parts. Among other inequalities, it is shown that if T=[0X,Y0]T=\left[\begin{array}{cc} 0&X, Y&0 \end{array}\right], then \begin{align*} \textbf{ber}^{r}(T)\leq 2^{r-2}\left(\textbf{ber}(f^{2r}(|X|)+g^{2r}(|Y^*|))+\textbf{ber}(f^{2r}(|Y|)+g^{2r}(|X^*|))\right)\\ -2^{r-2} \inf_{\|(k_{λ_{1}},k_{λ_{2}})\|=1} η(k_{λ_{1}},k_{λ_{2}}), \end{align*} where η(kλ1,kλ2)=(⟨(f2r(∣X∣)+g2r(∣Y∗∣))kλ2,kλ2⟩12−⟨(f2r(∣Y∣)+g2r(∣X∗∣))kλ1,kλ1⟩12)2η(k_{λ_{1}}, k_{λ_{2}}) = \left(\left\langle(f^{2r}(|X|)+g^{2r}(|Y^*|)\right)k_{λ_{2}},k_{λ_{2}}\right\rangle^\frac{1}{2}-\left\langle \left(f^{2r}(|Y|)+g^{2r}(|X^*|)\right)k_{λ_{1}},k_{λ_{1}}\right\rangle^\frac{1}{2})^2, X,YX, Y are bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space H=H(Ω)\mathcal H=\mathcal H(Ω), r≥1r\geq 1 and ff, gg are nonnegative continuous functions on [0,∞)[0, \infty) satisfying the relation f(t)g(t)=t (t∈[0,∞))f(t)g(t)=t\,(t\in[0, \infty)).

Some reversed and refined Callebaut inequalities via Kontorovich constant

In this paper we employ some operator techniques to establish some refinements and reverses of the Callebaut inequality involving the geometric mean and Hadamard product under some mild conditions. In particular, we show \begin{align*} K&\left(\frac{M^{2t-1}}{m^{2t-1}},2\right)^{r'} \sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp_{s}B_j)\circ \sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp_{1-s}B_j) \nonumber\\&\,\,+\left(\frac{t-s}{t-1/2}\right)\left(\sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp_{t}B_j)\circ \sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp_{1-t}B_j) -\sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp B_j)\circ \sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp B_j)\right)\nonumber \\&\leq \sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp_{t}B_j)\circ \sum_{j=1}^n(A_j\sharp_{1-t} B_j)\,, \end{align*} where Aj,Bj∈B(H)  (1≤j≤n)A_j, B_j\in{\mathbb B}({\mathscr H})\,\,(1\leq j\leq n) are positive operators such that 0<m′≤Bj≤m<M≤Aj≤M′  (1≤j≤n)0<m' \leq B_j\leq m <M \leq A_j\leq M'\,\,(1\leq j\leq n), either 1≥t≥s>121\geq t\geq s>{\frac{1}{2}} or 0≤t≤s<120\leq t\leq s<\frac{1}{2}, r′=min⁡{t−st−1/2,s−1/2t−1/2}r'=\min\left\{\frac{t-s}{t-1/2},\frac{s-1/2}{t-1/2}\right\} and K(t,2)=(t+1)24t  (t>0)K(t,2)=\frac{(t+1)^2}{4t}\,\,(t>0).

Some operator Bellman type inequalities

In this paper, we employ the Mond--Pečarić method to establish some reverses of the operator Bellman inequality under certain conditions. In particular, we show \begin{equation*} δI_{\mathscr K}+\sum_{j=1}^nω_jΦ_j\left((I_{\mathscr H}-A_j)^{p}\right)\ge \left(\sum_{j=1}^nω_jΦ_j(I_{\mathscr H}-A_j)\right)^{p} \,, \end{equation*} where Aj  (1≤j≤n)A_j\,\,(1\leq j\leq n) are self-adjoint contraction operators with 0≤mIH≤Aj≤MIH0\leq mI_{\mathscr H}\le A_j \le MI_{\mathscr H}, ΦjΦ_j are unital positive linear maps on B(H){\mathbb B}({\mathscr H}), ωj∈R+  (1≤j≤n)ω_j\in\mathbb R_+ \,\,(1\leq j\leq n), 0<p<10 < p < 1 and δ=(1−p)(1p(1−m)p−(1−M)pM−m)pp−1+(1−M)(1−m)p−(1−m)(1−M)pM−mδ=(1-p)\left(\frac{1}{p}\frac{(1-m)^p-(1-M)^p}{M-m}\right)^{\frac{p}{p-1}}+\frac{(1-M)(1-m)^p-(1-m)(1-M)^p}{M-m} . We also present some refinements of the operator Bellman inequality.

Chebyshev type inequalities for Hilbert space operators

We establish several operator extensions of the Chebyshev inequality. The main version deals with the Hadamard product of Hilbert space operators. More precisely, we prove that if A\mathscr{A} is a C∗C^*-algebra, TT is a compact Hausdorff space equipped with a Radon measure μμ, α:T→[0,+∞)α: T\rightarrow [0, +\infty) is a measurable function and (At)t∈T,(Bt)t∈T(A_t)_{t\in T}, (B_t)_{t\in T} are suitable continuous fields of operators in A{\mathscr A} having the synchronous Hadamard property, then \begin{align*} \int_{T} α(s) dμ(s)\int_{T}α(t)(A_t\circ B_t) dμ(t)\geq\left(\int_{T}α(t) A_t dμ(t)\right)\circ\left(\int_{T}α(s) B_s dμ(s)\right). \end{align*} We apply states on C∗C^*-algebras to obtain some versions related to synchronous functions. We also present some Chebyshev type inequalities involving the singular values of positive n×nn\times n matrices. Several applications are given as well.

Further refinements of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality for matrices

Let A,BA, B and XX be n×nn\times n matrices such that A,BA, B are positive semidefinite. We present some refinements of the matrix Cauchy-Schwarz inequality by using some integration techniques and various refinements of the Hermite--Hadamard inequality. In particular, we establish the inequality \begin{align*} |||\,|A^{1\over2}XB^{1\over2}|^r|||^2&\leq|||\,|A^{t}XB^{1-s}|^r||| \,\,\,|||\,|A^{1-t}XB^{s}|^r|||\\& \leq\max \{|||\,|AX|^r||| \,\,\,|||\,|XB|^r|||,|||\,|AXB|^r||| \,\,\,|||\,|X|^r|||\}, \end{align*} where s,t∈[0,1]s,t\in[0,1] and r≥0r\geq0.

Reverses and variations of Heinz inequality

Let A,BA, B be positive definite n×nn\times n matrices. We present several reverse Heinz type inequalities, in particular \begin{align*} \|AX+XB\|_2^2+ 2(ν-1) \|AX-XB\|_2^2\leq \|A^νXB^{1-ν}+A^{1-ν}XB^ν\|_2^2, \end{align*} where XX is an arbitrary n×nn \times n matrix, ∥⋅∥2\|\cdot\|_2 is Hilbert-Schmidt norm and ν>1ν>1. We also establish a Heinz type inequality involving the Hadamard product of the form \begin{align*} 2|||A^{1\over2}\circ B^{1\over2}|||\leq|||A^{s}\circ B^{1-t}+A^{1-s}\circ B^{t}||| \leq\max\{|||(A+B)\circ I|||,|||(A\circ B)+I|||\}, \end{align*} in which s,t∈[0,1]s, t\in [0,1] and ∣∣∣⋅∣∣∣|||\cdot||| is a unitarily invariant norm.
