Let S denote the class of functions f which are analytic and univalent in the unit disk D={z:∣z∣<1} and normalized with f(z)=z+∑n=2∞anzn. Using a method based on Grusky coefficients we study two problems over the class S: estimate of the fourth logarithmic coefficient and upper bound of the coefficient difference ∣a5∣−∣a4∣.
Let U+ be the class of analytic functions f such that f(z)z has real and positive coefficients and f−1 be its inverse. In this paper we give sharp estimates of the initial coefficients and initial logarithmic coefficients for f, as well as, sharp estimates of the second and the third Hankel determinant for f and f−1. We also show that the Zalcman conjecture holds for functions f from U+.
In this paper we give an upper bound of the third logarithmic coefficient for the class S of univalent functions in the unit disc.
Function f(z)=z+∑n=2∞anzn, normalized, analytic and univalent in the unit disk D={z:∣z∣<1}, belongs to the class U. if, and only if, (f(z)z)2−1<1(z∈D). In this paper, we prove the Zalcman and the generalized Zalcman conjecture for the class U and some values of parameters in the conjectures.
Let A denote the family of all functions f analytic in the unit disk $\ID$ and satisfying the normalization f(0)=0=f′(0)−1. Let S denote the subclass of A consisting of univalent functions in $\ID$. We consider the subclass U of S that is defined by the condition that for its members f the condition $$\left |\left (\frac{z}{f(z)} \right )^{2}f'(z)-1\right | < 1 ~\mbox{ for $z\in \ID$} $$ holds. To theses relations belong striking similarities and on the other hand big differences. We show that some results about S can be improved for U, while others cannot.
The article deals with the family U(λ) of all functions f normalized and analytic in the unit disk such that (z/f(z))2f′(z)−1<λ for some 0<λ≤1. The family U(λ) has been studied extensively in the recent past and functions in this family are known to be univalent in $\ID$. However, the problem of determining sharp bounds for the second coefficients of functions in this family was solved recently in \cite{VY2013} by Vasudevarao and Yanagihara but the proof was complicated. In this article, we first present a simpler proof. We obtain a number of new subordination results for this family and their consequences. In addition, we show that the family U(λ) is preserved under a number of elementary transformations such as rotation, conjugation, dilation and omitted value transformations, but surprisingly this family is not preserved under the n-th root transformation for any n≥2. This is a basic here which helps to generate a number of new theorems and in particular provides a way for constructions of functions from the family U(λ). Finally, we deal with a radius problem.
Let S denote the family of all univalent functions f in the unit disk $\ID$ with the normalization f(0)=0=f′(0)−1. There is an intimate relationship between the operator Pf(z)=f(z)/f′(z) and the Danikas-Ruscheweyh operator Tf:=∫0z(tf′(t)/f(t))dt. In this paper we mainly consider the univalence problem of F=Pf, where f belongs to some subclasses of S. Among several sharp results and non-sharp results, we also show that if f∈S, then F∈U in the disk ∣z∣<r with r≤r6≈0.360794 and conjecture that the upper bound for such r is 2−1.
