$gg \to ZH$ : updated predictions at NLO QCD

We present state-of-the-art predictions for the inclusive cross section of gluon-initiated $ZH$ production, following the recommendations of the LHC Higgs Working Group. In particular, we include NLO QCD corrections, where the virtual corrections are obtained from the combination of a forward expansion and a high-energy expansion, and the real corrections are exact. The expanded results for the virtual corrections are compared in detail to full numerical results. The updated predictions show a reduction of the scale uncertainties to the level of 15%, and they include an estimate of the top-mass-scheme uncertainty.

A first glance to the kinematic moments of $B \to X_c \ell ν$ at third order

We study the impact of third-order QCD corrections for several kinematic moments of the inclusive semileptonic $B$ decays, to first order in the $1/m_b$ expansion. We consider the first four moments of the charged-lepton energy $E_\ell$ spectrum, the total leptonic invariant mass $q^2$ and the hadronic invariant mass $M_X^2$. No experimental cuts are applied. Our analytic results are obtained via an asymptotic expansion around the limit $m_b \simeq m_c$. After converting the scheme for the bottom mass to the kinetic scheme we compare the size of higher QCD corrections to the contributions from $1/m_b^2$ and $1/m_b^3$ power corrections and to the relative uncertainties.

Higgs boson contribution to the leading two-loop Yukawa corrections to $gg\to HH$

We analytically compute two-loop Yukawa corrections to Higgs boson pair production in the high-energy limit. Such corrections are generated by an exchange of a Higgs boson between the virtual top quark lines. We propose two approaches to obtain expansions of the massive two-loop box integrals and show that precise results are obtained for transverse momenta of the Higgs bosons above about 150 GeV. We discuss in detail the computation of all 140 master integrals and present analytic results.

Massive vector form factors to three loops

We compute the three-loop non-singlet corrections to the photon-quark form factors taking into account the full dependence on the virtuality of the photon and the quark mass. We combine the method of differential equations in an effective way with expansions around regular and singular points. This allows us to obtain results for the form factors with an accuracy of about eight to twelve digits in the whole kinematic range.

On the relation between the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$ and the kinetic mass of heavy quarks

We compute the relation between the pole mass and the kinetic mass of a heavy quark to three loops. Using the known relation between the pole and the $\overline{\rm MS}$ mass we obtain precise conversion relations between the $\overline{\rm MS}$ and kinetic masses. The kinetic mass is defined via the moments of the spectral function for the scattering involving a heavy quark close to threshold. This requires the computation of the imaginary part of a forward scattering amplitude up to three-loop order. We discuss in detail the expansion procedure and the reduction to master integrals. For the latter analytic results are provided. We apply our result both to charm and bottom quark masses. In the latter case we compute and include finite charm quark mass effects. Furthermore, we determine the large-$β_0$ result for the conversion formula at four-loop order. For the bottom quark we estimate the uncertainty in the conversion between the $\overline{\rm MS}$ and kinetic masses to about 15 MeV which is an improvement by a factor two to three as compared to the two-loop formula. The improved precision is crucial for the extraction of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ at Belle II.

Quark and gluon form factors in four-loop QCD

We compute the photon-quark and Higgs-gluon form factors to four-loop order within massless perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. Our results constitute ready-to-use building blocks for N${}^4$LO cross sections for Drell-Yan processes and gluon-fusion Higgs boson production at the LHC. We present complete analytic expressions for both form factors and show several of the most complicated master integrals.

Singlet and non-singlet three-loop massive form factors

We consider Quantum Chromodynamics with external vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar currents and compute three-loop corrections to the corresponding vertex function taking into account massive quarks. We consider all non-singlet contributions as well as those singlet contributions where the external current couples to a massive quark loop. We apply a semi-numerical method which is based on expansions around singular and regular kinematical points. They are matched at intermediate values of the squared partonic center-of-mass energy $s$ which allows to cover the whole kinematic range for negative and positive values of $s$. Our method permits a systematic increase of the precision by varying the expansion depth and the choice of the intermediate matching points. In our current set-up we have at least seven significant digits for the finite contribution of all form factors. We present our results as a combination of series expansions and interpolation functions which allows for a straightforward use in practical applications.

The $Hb\bar{b}$ vertex at four loops and hard matching coefficients in SCET for various currents

We compute the four-loop corrections to the Higgs-bottom vertex within massless QCD and present analytic results for all color structures. The infrared poles of the renormalized form factor agree with the predicted four-loop pattern. Furthermore, we use the results for the Higgs-bottom, photon-quark, and Higgs-gluon form factors to provide hard matching coefficients in soft-collinear effective theory up to four-loop accuracy.

The width difference in \bbm\ at order $α_s$ and beyond

We complete the calculation of the element $Γ_{12}^q$ of the decay matrix in $B_q-\bar{B}_q$ mixing, $q=d,s$, to order $α_s$ in the leading power of the Heavy Quark Expansion. To this end we compute one- and two-loop contributions involving two four-quark penguin operators. Furthermore, we present two-loop QCD corrections involving a chromomagnetic operator and either a current-current or four-quark penguin operator. Such contributions are of order $α_s^2$, i.e. next-to-next-to-leading-order. We also present one-loop and two-loop results involving two chromomagnetic operators which are formally of next-to-next-to-leading and next-to-next-to-next-to-leading-order, respectively. With our new corrections we obtain the Standard-Model prediction $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s= (5.20\pm 0.69)\cdot 10^{-3}$ if $Γ_{12}^s$ is expressed in terms of the $\overline{\rm MS}$ b-quark mass, while we find $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s= (4.70\pm 0.96)\cdot 10^{-3}$ instead for the use of the pole mass.

The width difference in the $B-\bar{B}$ system at next-to-next-to-leading order of QCD

We extend the theoretical prediction for the width difference $ΔΓ_q$ in the mixing of neutral $B$ mesons in the Standard Model to next-to-next-to-leading order in $α_s$. To this aim we calculate three-loop diagrams with two $|ΔB|=1$ current-current operators analytically. In the matching between $|ΔB|=1$ and $|ΔB|=2$ effective theories we regularize the infrared divergences dimensionally and take into account all relevant evanescent operators. Further elements of the calculation are the two-loop renormalization matrix $Z_{ij}$ for the $|ΔB|=2$ operators and the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^2)$ corrections to the finite renormalization that ensures the $1/m_b$ suppression of the operator $R_0$ at two-loop order. Our theoretical prediction reads $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s = {(4.33\pm 0.93)\cdot 10^{-3}}$ if expressed in terms of the bottom mass in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ scheme and $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s = {(4.20\pm 0.95)\cdot 10^{-3}}$ for the use of the potential-subtracted mass. While the controversy on $|V_{cb}|$ affects both $ΔΓ_s$ and $ΔM_s$, the ratio $ΔΓ_s/ΔM_s$ is not affected by the uncertainty in $|V_{cb}|$ .

Three-loop non-singlet matching coefficients for heavy quark currents

We compute the matching coefficients between QCD and non-relativistic QCD for external vector, axial-vector, scalar and pseudo-scalar currents up to three-loop order. We concentrate on the non-singlet contributions and present precise numerical results with an accuracy of about ten digits. For the vector current the results from arXiv:1401.3004 are confirmed, increasing the accuracy by several orders of magnitude.

ZH production in gluon fusion at NLO in QCD

We present fully differential next-to-leading order results for Higgs production in association with a $Z$ boson in gluon fusion. Our two-loop virtual contributions are evaluated numerically using sector decomposition, including full top-quark mass effects, and supplemented at high $p_T$ by an analytic high-energy expansion to order ($m_Z^4, m_H^4, m_t^{32}$). Using the expanded results we also present a study of the top-quark mass scheme uncertainty at large $p_T$.

Real corrections to Higgs boson pair production at NNLO in the large top quark mass limit

In this paper we consider the next-to-next-to-leading order total cross section of Higgs boson pair production in the large top quark mass limit and compute four expansion terms in $1/m_t^2$. Good convergence is observed below the top quark threshold, which makes our results a valuable input for approximation methods which aim for next-to-next-to-leading order corrections over the whole kinematic range. We present details on various steps of our calculation; in particular, we provide results for three- and four-particle phase-space master integrals and describe in detail the evaluation of the collinear counterterms.

$gg\to ZZ$: analytic two-loop results for the low- and high-energy regions

We compute next-to-leading order virtual two-loop corrections to the process $gg\to ZZ$ in the low- and high-energy limits, considering the contributions with virtual top quarks. Analytic results for all 20 form factors are presented including expansion terms up to $1/m_t^{12}$ and $m_t^{32}$. We use a Padé approximation procedure to extend the radius of convergence of the high-energy expansion and apply this approach to the fini\ te virtual next-to-leading order corrections.

Gauge and Yukawa coupling beta functions of two-Higgs-doublet models to three-loop order

We compute the beta functions for the three gauge couplings and the Yukawa matrices of a general two-Higgs-doublet model in the modified minimal subtraction scheme to three loops. The calculations are performed using Lorenz gauge in the unbroken phase. We discuss in detail the occurence of poles in anomalous dimensions and propose practical prescriptions to avoid them. We provide explicit results for the often used $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetric versions of the two-Higgs-doublet model of type I, II, X and Y. Furthermore, we provide the first independent cross-check of the three-loop Yukawa coupling beta functions of the Standard Model.

Matching the heavy-quark fields in QCD and HQET at four loops

The QCD/HQET matching coefficient for the heavy-quark field is calculated up to four loops. It must be finite; this requirement produces analytical results for some terms in the four-loop on-shell heavy-quark field renormalization constant which were previously only known numerically. The effect of a non-zero lighter-flavor mass is calculated up to three loops. A class of on-shell integrals with two masses is analyzed in detail. By specifying our result to QED, we obtain the relation between the electron field and the Bloch--Nordsieck field with four-loop accuracy.

Padé approach to top-quark mass effects in gluon fusion amplitudes

Gluon fusion processes like single and double Higgs production exhibit slow convergence and pose severe computational challenges. We show how the top-quark mass dependence of the virtual amplitudes can be reconstructed with a conformal mapping and Padé approximants based on the expansion in the inverse top-quark mass and the non-analytic terms in the expansion around the top threshold. The method is then applied at two- and three-loop order.

Double Higgs boson production at NLO: combining the exact numerical result and high-energy expansion

We consider the next-to-leading order QCD corrections to Higgs boson pair production, using our recent calculation of the form factors in the high-energy limit. We compute the virtual corrections to the partonic cross section, applying Padé approximations to extend the range of validity of the high-energy expansion. This enables us to compare to the exact numerical calculation in a significant part of the phase space and allows us to extend the virtual matrix element grid, based on the exact numerical calculation, to larger values of the (partonic) transverse momentum of the Higgs boson, which is important for boosted Higgs studies. Improved predictions for hadron colliders with centre-of-mass energies of $14\ \mathrm{TeV}$ and $100\ \mathrm{TeV}$ are presented. The updated grid is made publicly available.

Gauge coupling beta functions to four-loop order in the Standard Model

We compute the beta functions of the three Standard Model gauge couplings to four-loop order in the modified minimal subtraction scheme. At this order a proper definition of $γ_5$ in $D=4-2ε$ space-time dimensions is required; however, in our calculation we determine the $γ_5$-dependent terms by exploiting relations with beta function coefficients at lower loop orders.

Three-loop form factors for Higgs boson pair production in the large top mass limit

We consider the virtual corrections to Higgs boson pair production at next-to-next-to-leading order, in the large top quark mass limit. We compute five expansion terms for the box-type form factors and eight expansion terms for the triangle form factor, which serve as useful input for the construction of approximations. We present analytic results for the form factors in the soft-virtual approximation. From a technical point of view the calculation is quite challenging since huge intermediate expressions are produced. We describe our methods and optimizations to overcome these difficulties, which might be useful for other calculations.

$\overline{\rm MS}$-on-shell quark mass relation up to four loops in QCD and a general SU$(N)$ gauge group

In this paper we compute the relation between heavy quark masses defined in the modified minimal subtraction and on-shell scheme. Detailed results are presented for all coefficients of the SU$(N_c)$ colour factors. The reduction of the four-loop on-shell integrals is performed for a general QCD gauge parameter. Some of the about 380 master integrals are computed analytically, others with high numerical precision based on Mellin-Barnes representations, and the rest numerically with the help of {\tt FIESTA}. We discuss in detail the precise numerical evaluation of the four-loop master integrals. Updated relations between various short-distance masses and the $\overline{\rm MS}$ quark mass to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy are provided for the charm, bottom and top quark. We discuss the dependence on the renormalization and factorization scale.

A planar four-loop form factor and cusp anomalous dimension in QCD

We compute the fermionic contribution to the photon-quark form factor to four-loop order in QCD in the planar limit in analytic form. From the divergent part of the latter the cusp and collinear anomalous dimensions are extracted. Results are also presented for the finite contribution. We briefly describe our method to compute all planar master integrals at four-loop order.

Electron contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment at four loops

We present results for the QED contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon containing closed electron loops. The main focus is on perturbative corrections at four-loop order where the external photon couples to the external muon. Furthermore, all four-loop contributions involving simultaneously a closed electron and tau loop are computed. In combination with our recent results on the light-by-light-type corrections (see Ref. \cite{Kurz:2015bia}) the complete four-loop electron-loop contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon has been obtained with an independent calculation. Our calculation is based on an asymptotic expansion in the ratio of the electron and the muon mass and shows the importance of higher order terms in this ratio. We perform a detailed comparison with results available in the literature and find good numerical agreement. As a by-product we present analytic results for the on-shell muon mass and wave function renormalization constants at three-loop order including massive closed electron and tau loops, which we also calculated using the method of asymptotic expansion.

$Gamma(H\to b\bar{b})$ to order $αα_s$

We compute the decay rate of the Standard Model Higgs boson to bottom quarks to order $αα_s$. We apply the optical theorem and calculate the imaginary part of three-loop corrections to the Higgs boson propagator using asymptotic expansions in appropriately chosen mass ratios. The corrections of order $αα_s$ are of the same order of magnitude as the ${\cal O}(α_s^3)$ QCD corrections but have the opposite sign.

Decoupling of heavy quarks at four loops and effective Higgs-fermion coupling

We compute the decoupling constant $ζ_m$ relating light quark masses of effective $n_l$-flavour QCD to $(n_l+1)$-flavour QCD to four-loop order. Immediate applications are the evaluation of the $\overline{\rm MS}$ charm quark mass with five active flavours and the bottom quark mass at the scale of the top quark or even at GUT scales. With the help of a low-energy theorem $ζ_m$ can be used to obtain the effective coupling of a Higgs boson to light quarks with five-loop accuracy. We briefly discuss the influence on $Γ(H\to b\bar{b})$.

Exact N$^3$LO results for $q q^\prime\to H +X$

We compute the contribution to the total cross section for the inclusive production of a Standard Model Higgs boson induced by two quarks with different flavour in the initial state. Our calculation is exact in the Higgs boson mass and the partonic center-of-mass energy. We describe the reduction to master integrals, the construction of a canonical basis, and the solution of the corresponding differential equations. Our analytic result contains both Harmonic Polylogarithms and iterated integrals with additional letters in the alphabet.

Higgs boson pair production: top quark mass effects at NLO and NNLO

We compute next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the gluon-induced production cross section of Higgs boson pairs in the large top quark mass limit using the soft-virtual approximation. In the limit of infinitely-heavy top quark we confirm the results in the literature. We add two more expansion terms in the inverse top quark mass to the $M_t\to\infty$ result. Since the $1/M_t$ expansion converges poorly, we try to improve on it by factorizing the exact leading order cross section. We discuss two ways of doing that and conclude that the finite top quark mass effects shift the cross section at most by about 10\% at next-to-leading order and by about 5\% at next-to-next-to-leading order.

Light-by-light-type corrections to the muon anomalous magnetic moment at four-loop order

The numerically dominant QED contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon stem from Feynman diagrams with internal electron loops. We consider such corrections and present a calculation of the four-loop light-by-light-type corrections where the external photon couples to a closed electron or muon loop. We perform an asymptotic expansion in the ratio of electron and muon mass and reduce the resulting integrals to master integrals which we evaluate using analytical and numerical methods. We confirm the results present in the literature which are based on different computational methods.

Massive Tadpoles: Techniques and Applications

A brief discussion of massive tadpole diagrams and their phenomenological consequences is presented. This includes predictions of the $ρ$ parameter and, as a consequence, the mass of the $W$ boson, implications on the charm and bottom quark masses from the moments, i.e. the derivatives of the current correlators, and the Higgs boson decay rate. A fairly consistent picture emerges, with $m_c(3 {GeV})=0.986\pm0.013$ GeV and $m_b(m_b)=3.610\pm0.016$ GeV. Furthermore, fairly stringent predictions for the Higgs decay rate into photons and gluons are obtained, which will be interesting in increasingly precise experiments.

Next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order QCD prediction for the top anti-top S-wave pair production cross section near threshold in e+ e- annihilation

We present the third-order QCD prediction for the production of top-anti-top quark pairs in electron-positron collisions close to the threshold in the dominant S-wave state. We observe a significant reduction of the theoretical uncertainty and discuss the sensitivity to the top quark mass and width.

Non-relativistic high-energy physics: top production and dark matter annihilation

Non-relativistic physics is often associated with atomic physics and low-energy phenomena of the strong interactions between nuclei and quarks. In this review we cover three topics in contemporary high-energy physics at or close to the TeV scale, where non-relativistic dynamics plays an important if not defining role. We first discuss in detail the third-order corrections to top-quark pair production in electron-positron collisions in the threshold region, which plays a major role at a future high-energy e+ e- collider. Threshold effects are also relevant in the production of heavy particles in hadronic collisions, where in addition to the Coulomb force soft gluon radiation contributes to enhanced quantum corrections. We review the joint resummation of non-relativistic and soft gluon effects for pair production of top quarks and supersymmetric particles to next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. The third topic deals with pair annihilation of dark matter particles within the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Here the electroweak Yukawa force generated by the exchange of gauge and Higgs bosons can cause large "Sommerfeld" enhancements of the annihilation cross section in some parameter regions.

Quark mass relations to four-loop order

We present results for the relation between a heavy quark mass defined in the on-shell and $\bar{\rm MS}$ scheme to four-loop order. The method to compute the four-loop on-shell integral is briefly described and the new results are used to establish relations between various short-distance masses and the $\bar{\rm MS}$ quark mass to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy. These relations play an important role in the accurate determination of the $\bar{\rm MS}$ heavy quark masses.

The (Q_7,Q_{1,2}) contribution to B -> X_s gamma at O(alpha_s^2)

Interference between the photonic dipole operator Q_7 and the current-current operators Q_{1,2} gives one of the most important QCD corrections to the B -> X_s gamma decay rate. So far, the O(alpha_s^2) part of this correction has been known in the heavy charm quark limit only (m_c >> m_b/2). Here, we evaluate this part at m_c=0, and use both limits in an updated phenomenological study. Our prediction for the CP- and isospin-averaged branching ratio in the Standard Model reads B^SM_{s gamma} = (3.36 +_ 0.23) * 10^-4 for E_gamma > 1.6 GeV.

B_{s,d} -> l+ l- in the Standard Model with Reduced Theoretical Uncertainty

We combine our new results for the O(alpha_em) and O(alpha_s^2) corrections to B_{s,d} -> l^+ l^-, and present updated branching ratio predictions for these decays in the standard model. Inclusion of the new corrections removes major theoretical uncertainties of perturbative origin that have just begun to dominate over the parametric ones. For the recently observed muonic decay of the B_s meson, our calculation gives BR(B_s -> mu^+ mu^-) = (3.65 +_ 0.23) * 10^(-9).

Hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment to next-to-next-to-leading order

We compute the next-to-next-to-leading order hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment originating from the photon vacuum polarization. The corresponding three-loop kernel functions are calculated using asymptotic expansion techniques which lead to analytic expressions. Our final result, $a_μ^{\rm had,NNLO} = 1.24 \pm 0.01 \times 10^{-10}$, has the same order of magnitude as the current uncertainty of the leading order hadronic contribution and should thus be included in future analyses.

Higher-order hadronic and heavy-lepton contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment

We report about recent results obtained for the muon anomalous magnetic moment. Three-loop kernel functions have been computed to obtain the next-to-next-to-leading-order hadronic vacuum polarization contributions. The numerical result, $a_μ^{\rm{had,NNLO}}=1.24\pm 0.01 \times 10^{-10}$, is of the same order of magnitude as the current uncertainty from the hadronic contributions. For heavy-lepton corrections, analytical results are obtained at four-loop order and compared with the known results.

Virtual corrections to Higgs boson pair production in the large top quark mass limit

We calculate the three-loop matching coefficient $C_{HH}$, required for a consistent description of Higgs boson pair production in gluon fusion through next-to-next-to-leading order QCD in the heavy top quark approximation. On the Higgs boson pair production at the LHC

We compute the production cross section of a pair of Standard Model Higgs bosons at the LHC at next-to-leading order in QCD, including corrections in inverse powers of the top quark mass. We calculate these power corrections through ${\cal O}(1/M_t^8)$ and study their relevance for phenomenology of the double Higgs production. We find that power corrections are significant, even for moderate values of partonic center-of-mass energies, and that convergence of the $1/M_t$ expansion can be dramatically improved by factorizing the leading order cross section with full $M_t$-dependence.

Renormalization constants and beta functions for the gauge couplings of the Standard Model to three-loop order

We compute the beta functions for the three gauge couplings of the Standard Model in the minimal subtraction scheme to three loops. We take into account contributions from all sectors of the Standard Model. The calculation is performed using both Lorenz gauge in the unbroken phase of the Standard Model and background field gauge in the spontaneously broken phase. Furthermore, we describe in detail the treatment of $γ_5$ and present the automated setup which we use for the calculation of the Feynman diagrams. It starts with the generation of the Feynman rules and leads to the bare result for the Green's function of a given process.

Three-loop QCD corrections to B_s -> mu^+ mu^-

The decay B_s -> mu^+ mu^- in the Standard Model is generated by the well-known W-box and Z-penguin diagrams that give rise to an effective quark-lepton operator Q_A at low energies. We compute QCD corrections of order alpha_s^2 to its Wilson coefficient C_A. It requires performing three-loop matching between the full and effective theories. Including the new corrections makes C_A more stable with respect to the matching scale mu_0 at which the top-quark mass and alpha_s are renormalized. The corresponding uncertainty in |C_A|^2 gets reduced from around 1.8% to less than 0.2%. Our results are directly applicable to all the B_{s(d)} -> l^+ l^- decay modes.

$\bar{B}\to X_s γ$ in the Two Higgs Doublet Model up to Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order in QCD

We compute three-loop matching corrections to the Wilson coefficients $C_7$ and $C_8$ in the Two Higgs Doublet Model by applying expansions for small, intermediate and large charged Higgs boson masses. The results are used to evaluate the branching ratio of $\bar{B}\to X_s γ$ to next-to-next-to leading order accuracy, and to determine an updated lower limit on the charged Higgs boson mass. We find $\mhplus \ge 380 $GeV at 95% confidence level when the recently completed BABAR data analysis is taken into account. Our results for the charged Higgs contribution to the branching ratio exhibit considerably weaker sensitivity to the matching scale $μ_0$, as compared to previous calculations.

Moments of heavy quark correlators with two masses: exact mass dependence to three loops

Supersymmetric next-to-next-to-leading order corrections to Higgs boson production in gluon fusion

We compute the total cross section for the production of a light CP even Higgs boson within the framework of supersymmetric QCD up to next-to-next-to-leading order. Technical subtleties in connection to the evaluation of three-loop Feynman integrals with many mass scales are discussed in detail and explicit results for the counterterms of the evanescent couplings are provided. The new results are applied to several phenomenological scenarios which are in accordance with the recent discovery at the LHC. In a large part of the still allowed parameter space the $K$ factor of the supersymmetric theory is close to the one of the Standard Model. However, for the case where one of the top squarks is light, a deviation of more than 5% in the next-to-next-to-leading order prediction of the cross section can be observed where at the same time the predicted Higgs boson mass has a value of about 125 GeV.

For this matching calculation, we work out the on-shell amplitudes b--> s gamma and b --> s g, both in the full and in the effective theory up to order alpha_s^2. The most difficult part of the calculation is the evaluation of the two-loop diagrams in the full theory; these can be split into two classes: a) diagrams with one gluino and a virtual gluon; b) diagrams with two gluinos or with one gluino and a four-squark vertex. Accordingly, the Wilson coefficients can be split into a part a) and a part b). While part b) of the Wilson coefficients is presented in this paper for the first time, part a) was given in (Bobeth et al.). We checked their results for the coefficients of the magnetic operators and found perfect agreement. Moreover, we work out the renormalization procedure in great detail. Our results for the complete next-to-leading order Wilson coefficients are fully analytic, but far too long to be printed. We therefore publish them in the form of a C++ program. They constitute a crucial building block for the phenomenological next-to-leading logarithmic analysis of the branching ratio Bbar --> X_s gamma in a supersymmetric model beyond minimal flavor violation.

Gluino Pair Production at the LHC: The Threshold

The next-to-leading order analysis of the cross section of hadronic gluino pair production close to threshold is presented. Within the framework of non-relativistic QCD a significant enhancement compared to fixed order perturbation theory is observed which originates from the characteristic remnant of the 1S peak below the nominal pair threshold. This enhancement is similar to the corresponding one for top production. However, as a consequence of the larger colour factor of the QCD potential the effect is significantly enhanced. The analysis includes all colour configurations of S-wave gluino pairs, i.e. singlet, symmetric and antisymmetric octet, decuplet and twenty-seven representation. Matching coefficients involving real and virtual radiation are separately evaluated for all colour and spin configurations and initial states. We concentrate on the case of gluino decay rates comparable to the gluino binding energy. The non-relativistic dynamics of the gluino pair is solved by calculating the Green's function in NLO. Numerical results for the Large Hadron Collider at sqrt(s)=14 TeV and 7 TeV are presented for various characteristic scenarios.

Production of scalar and pseudo-scalar Higgs bosons to next-to-next-to-leading order at hadron colliders

We consider the production of intermediate-mass CP-even and CP-odd Higgs bosons in proton-proton and proton-anti-proton collisions. We extend the recently published results for the complete next-to-next-to-leading order calculation for a scalar Higgs boson to the pseudo-scalar case and present details of the calculation that might be useful for similar future investigations. The result is based on an expansion in the limit of a heavy top quark mass and a subsequent matching to the expression obtained in the limit of infinite energy. For a Higgs boson mass of 120 GeV the deviation from the infinite-top quark mass result is small. For 300 GeV, however, the next-to-next-to-leading order corrections for a scalar Higgs boson exceed the effective-theory result by about 9% which increases to 22% in the pseudo-scalar case. Thus in this mass range the effect on the total cross section amounts to about 2% and 6%, respectively, which may be relevant in future precision studies.

Simultaneous decoupling of bottom and charm quarks

We compute the decoupling relations for the strong coupling, the light quark masses, the gauge-fixing parameter, and the light fields in QCD with heavy charm and bottom quarks to three-loop accuracy taking into account the exact dependence on $m_c/m_b$. The application of a low-energy theorem allows the extraction of the three-loop effective Higgs-gluon coupling valid for extensions of the Standard Model with additional heavy quarks from the decoupling constant of $α_s$.

Three-loop anomalous dimensions for squarks in supersymmetric QCD

In this paper we evaluate the renormalization constants and anomalous dimensions for the squark wave function and mass within supersymmetric QCD. These results complement the ones obtained in Ref. \cite{Harlander:2009mn} and thus provide further confirmation on the applicability of dimensional reduction to supersymmetric QCD at three-loop order. The three-loop anomalous dimension constitute important input to precision predictions of the supersymmetric mass spectrum as obtained from the evolution from the GUT to the TeV energy scale.

Beyond Heavy Top Limit In Higgs Boson Production At LHC

QCD corrections to inclusive Higgs boson production at the LHC are evaluated at next-to-next-to leading order. By performing asymptotic expansion of the cross section near the limit of infinitely heavy top quark we obtained a few first top mass-suppressed terms. The corrections to the hadronic cross sections are found to be small compared to the scale uncertainty, thus justifying the use of heavy top quark approximation in many published results.

Hadronic Higgs Production and Decay in Supersymmetry at Next-to-Leading Order

Supersymmetric QCD corrections to the gluonic production and decay rate of a CP-even Higgs boson are evaluated at next-to-leading order. To this aim, we derive an effective Lagrangian for the gluon-Higgs coupling. We show that a consistent calculation requires the inclusion of gluino effects, in contrast to what has been done previously. The supersymmetric corrections to the gluon-Higgs coupling lead to a modification of the next-to-leading order K-factor for the Higgs production rate at the LHC by less than five percent.

Heavy-light current-current correlators

The current-current correlator method has been used successfully to obtain very accurate results for quark masses and the coupling alpha_s. The calculations were done using Highly Improved Staggered Quarks (HISQ) and heavy-heavy meson correlators. We now extend this work to the significantly more challenging heavy-light case, reporting the first results here. The aim is to determine nonperturbative Z factors for NRQCD heavy-light currents, but first we test the method in the HISQ case where Z=1.

Gluinonia: Energy Levels, Production and Decay

Predictions for energy levels, production and decay rate of gluinonia, non-relativistic boundstates of gluinos, are presented. The potential between color-octet constituents is derived in next-to-next-to leading order and one-loop QCD corrections are derived for the production cross section and the decay rate into gluon jets. In addition we evaluate the decay rate into top quarks and into two photons. The signal-to-background ratio is estimated for the dominant decay mode and found to be around 0.5%. For relatively light gluinos the bound states thus might be detectable.

Applying Mellin-Barnes technique and Groebner bases to the three-loop static potential

The Mellin-Barnes technique to evaluate master integrals and the algorithm called FIRE to solve IBP relations with the help of Groebner bases are briefly reviewed. In FIRE, an extension of the classical Buchberger algorithm to construct Groebner bases is combined with the well-known Laporta algorithm. It is explained how both techniques are used when evaluating the three-loop correction to the static QCD quark potential. First results are presented: the coefficients of n_l^3 and n_l^2, where n_l is the number of light quarks.

Evaluating the three-loop static quark potential

This is a status report of the evaluation of the three-loop corrections to the static QCD potential of a heavy quark and an antiquark. The families of Feynman integrals that appear in the evaluation are described. To reduce any integral of the families to master integrals we solve integration-by-parts relations by the algorithm called FIRE. To evaluate the corresponding master integrals we apply the Mellin-Barnes technique. First results are presented: the coefficients of n_l^3 and n_l^2, where n_l is the number of light quarks.

Three-loop matching of the dipole operators for b -> s gamma and b -> s g

We evaluate the three-loop matching conditions for the dimension-five operators that are relevant for the b -> s gamma decay. Our calculation completes the first out of three steps (matching, mixing and matrix elements) that are necessary for finding the next-to-next-to-leading QCD corrections to this process. All such corrections must be calculated in view of the ongoing accurate measurements of the B -> Xs gamma branching ratio.

QCD Corrections to t anti-b H^- Associated Production in e^+ e^- Annihilation

We calculate the QCD corrections to the cross section of e^+ e^- -> t anti-b H^- and its charge-conjugate counterpart within the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. This process is particularly important if m_t < m_H + m_b and root(s) < 2 m_H, so that t -> b H^+ and e^+ e^- -> H^+ H^- are not allowed kinematically. Large logarithmic corrections that arise in the on-mass-shell scheme of quark mass renormalization, especially from the t anti-b H^- Yukawa coupling for large values of tan(beta), are resummed by adopting the modified minimal-subtraction scheme, so that the convergence behavior of the perturbative expansion is improved. The inclusion of the QCD corrections leads to a significant reduction of the theoretical uncertainties due to scheme and scale dependences.
