(Volume) Density Property of a family of complex manifolds including the Koras-Russell Cubic

We present modified versions of existing criteria for the density property and the volume density property of complex manifolds. We apply this methods to show the (volume) density property for a family of manifolds given by $x^2y=a(\bar z) + xb(\bar z)$ with $\bar z =(z_0,\ldots,z_n)\in\mathbb{C}^{n+1}$ and volume form $\mathrm{d} x/x^2\wedge \mathrm{d} z_0\wedge\ldots\wedge\mathrm{d} z_n$. The key step is showing that in certain cases transitivity of the action of (volume preserving) holomorphic automorphisms implies the (volume) density property, and then giving sufficient conditions for the transitivity of this action. In particular, we show that the Koras-Russell Cubic Threefold $\lbrace x^2y + x + z_0^2 + z_1^3=0\rbrace$ has the density property and the volume density property.

Complete Algebraic Vector Fields on Danielewski Surfaces

We give the classification of all complete algebraic vector fields on Danielewski surfaces (smooth surfaces given by $xy=p(z)$). We use the fact that for each such vector field there exists a certain fibration that is preserved under its flow. In order to get the explicit list of vector fields a classification of regular function with general fiber $\mathbb{C}$ or $\mathbb{C}^*$ is required. In this text we present results about such fibrations on Gizatullin surfaces and we give a precise description of these fibrations for Danielewski surfaces.

Lie algebra generated by locally nilpotent derivations on Danielewski surfaces

We give a full description of the Lie algebra generated by locally nilpotent derivations (short LNDs) on smooth Danielewski surfaces $D_p$ given by $xy=p(z)$. In case $\mathrm{deg}(p)\geq 3$ it turns out to be not the whole Lie algebra $\mathrm{VF}_{alg}^ω(D_p)$ of volume preserving algebraic vector fields, thus answering a question posed by Lind and the first author. Also we show algebraic volume density property (short AVDP) for a certain homology plane, a homogeneous space of the form $SL_2 (\mathbb{C}) /N$, where $N$ is the normalizer of the maximal torus and another related example. At the end of the paper we show by example that for the group of holomorphic automorphisms of a Stein manifold (endowed with c.-o. topology) the connected component and the path-connected component of the identity may not coincide.

The algebraic density property for affine toric varieties

In this paper we generalize the algebraic density property to not necessarily smooth affine varieties relative to some closed subvariety containing the singular locus. This property implies the remarkable approximation results for holomorphic automorphisms of the Andersén-Lempert theory. We show that an affine toric variety X satisfies this algebraic density property relative to a closed T-invariant subvariety Y if and only if X-Y is different from T. For toric surfaces we are able to classify those which posses a strong version of the algebraic density property (relative to the singular locus). The main ingredient in this classification is our proof of an equivariant version of Brunella's famous classification of complete algebraic vector fields in the affine plane.
