We discuss various aspects of noncommutative geometry of smooth subalgebras of Bunce-Deddens-Toeplitz Algebras.
In this paper, we study compact linear relations and establish that the spectrum of compact linear relations consists of only the point spectrum and the zero set under suitable conditions.
We discuss various aspects of noncommutative geometry of a smooth subalgebra of the Toeplitz algebra. In particular, we study the structure of derivations on this subalgebra.
We show that the half-line $m$ functions associated with the vector-valued Schrodinger operators are the elements in the Siegel upper half space. We introduce a metric on the space of $m$ functions associated to the vector-valued discrete Schrodinger operators. Then we show that the action of transfer matrices on these $m$ functions is distance decreasing.
We define a noncommutative space we call the quantum solid torus. It is an example of a noncommutative manifold with a noncommutative boundary. We study quantum Dirac type operators subject to Atiyah-Patodi-Singer like boundary conditions on the quantum solid torus. We show that such operators have compact inverse, which means that the corresponding boundary value problem is elliptic.
We compute the spectrum of the operator of multiplication by the complex coordinate in a Hilbert space of holomorphic functions on a disk with two circular holes. Additionally we determine the structure of the $C^*$-algebra generated by that operator. The algebra can be considered as the quantum pair of pants.
We construct a spectral triple for the C$^*$-algebra of continuous functions on the space of $p$-adic integers by using a rooted tree obtained from coarse-grained approximation of the space, and the forward derivative on the tree. Additionally, we verify that our spectral triple satisfies the properties of a compact spectral metric space, and we show that the metric on the space of $p$-adic integers induced by the spectral triple is equivalent to the usual $p$-adic metric.
The goal of this paper is to introduce a class of operators, which we call quantum Dirac type operators on a noncommutative sphere, by a gluing construction from copies of noncommutative disks, subject to an appropriate local boundary condition. We show that the resulting operators have compact resolvents, and so they are elliptic operators.
We consider Jacobi matrices and Schrodinger operators that are reflectionless on an interval. We give a systematic development of a certain parametrization of this class, in terms of suitable spectral data, that is due to Marchenko. Then some applications of these ideas are discussed.
We study one parameter families $D_t$, $0<t<1$ of non-commutative analogs of the d-bar operator $D_0 = \frac{\d}{\d\bar{z}}$ on disks and annuli in complex plane and show that, under suitable conditions, they converge in the classical limit to their commutative counterpart. More precisely, we endow the corresponding families of Hilbert spaces with the structures of continuous fields over the interval $[0,1)$ and we show that the inverses of the operators $D_t$ subject to APS boundary conditions form morphisms of those continuous fields of Hilbert spaces.
We study a Dirac operator subject to Atiayh-Patodi-Singer like boundary conditions on the solid torus and show that the corresponding boundary value problem is elliptic, in the sense that the Dirac operator has a compact parametrix.
We study quantum analogs of the Dirac type operator $-2\bar{z}\frac{\partial}{\partial\bar{z}}$ on the punctured disk, subject to the Atiyah-Patodi-Singer boundary conditions. We construct a parametrix of the quantum operator and show that it is bounded outside of the zero mode.
