Quantizations of Lie bialgebras, duality involution and oriented graph complexes

We prove that the action of the Grothendieck-Teichmüller group on the genus completed properad of (homotopy) Lie bialgebras commutes with the reversing directions involution of the latter. We also prove that every universal quantization of Lie bialgebras is homotopy equivalent to the one which commutes with the duality involution exchanging Lie bracket and Lie cobracket. The proofs are based on a new result in the theory of oriented graph complexes (which can be of independent interest) saying that the involution on an oriented graph complex that changes all directions on edges induces the identity map on its cohomology.

Hairy graphs to ribbon graphs via a fixed source graph complex

We show that the hairy graph complex $(HGC_{n,n},d)$ appears as an associated graded complex of the oriented graph complex $(OGC_{n+1},d)$, subject to the filtration on the number of targets, or equivalently sources, called the fixed source graph complex. The fixed source graph complex $(OGC_1,d_0)$ maps into the ribbon graph complex $RGC$, which models the moduli space of Riemann surfaces with marked points. The full differential $d$ on the oriented graph complex $OGC_{n+1}$ corresponds to the deformed differential $d+h$ on the hairy graph complex $HGC_{n,n}$, where $h$ adds a hair. This deformed complex $(HGC_{n,n},d+h)$ is already known to be quasi-isomorphic to standard Kontsevich's graph complex $GC^2_n$. This gives a new connection between the standard and the oriented version of Kontsevich's graph complex.

Second extra differential on odd graph complexes

A suitable extra differential on graph complexes can lead to a pairing of its cohomological classes. Many such extra differentials are known for various graph complexes, including Kontsevich's graph complex $GC_n$ for odd $n$. In this paper we introduce another extra differential on the same graph complex, leading to another way of pairing of its cohomological classes. Two ways of pairing lead to even further understanding of graph cohomology through "waterfall mechanism".

Differentials on graph complexes II - hairy graphs

We study the cohomology of the hairy graph complexes which compute the rational homotopy of embedding spaces, generalizing the Vassiliev invariants of knot theory. We provide spectral sequences converging to zero whose first pages contain the hairy graph cohomology. Our results yield a way to construct many hairy graph cohomology classes out of non-hairy classes by a mechanism which we call the waterfall mechanism. By this mechanism we can construct many previously unknown classes and provide a first glimpse at the tentative global structure of the hairy graph cohomology.

Differentials on graph complexes

We study the cohomology of complexes of ordinary (non-decorated) graphs, introduced by M. Kontsevich. We construct spectral sequences converging to zero whose first page contains the graph cohomology. In particular, these series may be used to show the existence of an infinite series of previously unknown and provably non-trivial cohomology classes, and put constraints on the structure of the graph cohomology as a whole.
