The Reidemeister spectrum of ZM-groups

Given a group $G$ and an automorphism $φ$ of $G$, two elements $x,y\in G$ are said to be $φ$-conjugate if $x=gyφ(g)^{-1}$ for some $g\in G$. The number $R(φ)$ of equivalence classes with respect to this relation is called the Reidemeister number of $φ$ and the set $\{R(φ)|φ\in {\rm Aut}(G)\}$ is called the Reidemeister spectrum of $G$. In this paper, we determine the Reidemeister spectrum of ZM-groups, extending some results of \cite{13}.

On the supersolvability of a finite group by the sum of subgroup orders

Let $G$ be a finite group and $σ_1(G)=\frac{1}{|G|}\sum_{H\leq G}\,|H|$. In this paper, we prove that if $σ_1(G)<2+\frac{11}{|G|}$\,, then $G$ is supersolvable. In particular, some new characterizations of the well-known groups $\mathbb{Z}_2\times\mathbb{Z}_4$ and $A_4$ are obtained. We also show that $σ_1(G)<c$ does not imply the supersolvability of $G$ for no constant $c\in(2,\infty)$.

A generalization of a result on the sum of element orders of a finite group

Let $G$ be a finite group and let $ψ(G)$ denote the sum of element orders of $G$. It is well-known that the maximum value of $φ$ on the set of groups of order $n$, where $n$ is a positive integer, will occur at the cyclic group $C_n$. For nilpotent groups, we prove a natural generalization of this result, obtained by replacing the element orders of $G$ with the element orders relative to a certain subgroup $H$ of $G$.

The second minimum/maximum value of the number of cyclic subgroups of finite $p$-groups

Let $C(G)$ be the poset of cyclic subgroups of a finite group $G$ and let $\mathcal{P}$ be the class of $p$-groups of order $p^n$ ($n\geq 3$). Consider the function $α:\mathcal{P}\longrightarrow (0, 1]$ given by $α(G)=\frac{|C(G)|}{|G|}$. In this paper, we determine the second minimum value of $α$, as well as the corresponding minimum points. Further, since the problem of finding the second maximum value of $α$ was completely solved for $p=2$, we focus on the case of odd primes and we outline a result in this regard.

A new equivalence relation to classify the fuzzy subgroups of finite groups

In this paper a new equivalence relation $\approx$ to classify the fuzzy subgroups of finite groups is introduced and studied. This generalizes the equivalence relation $\sim$ defined on the lattice of fuzzy subgroups of a finite group that has been used in our previous papers (see e.g. \cite{16,24}). Explicit formulas for the number of distinct fuzzy subgroups with respect to $\approx$ are obtained in some particular cases.
