A Perturbation Algorithm for the Pointers of Franke-Gorini-Kossakowski-Lindblad-Sudarshan Equation

This paper is devoted to the study of behavior of open quantum systems consistently based on the Franke-Gorini-Kossakowski-Lindblad-Sudarshan (FGKLS) equation which covers evolution in situations when decoherence can be distinguished. We focus on the quantum measurement operation which is determined by final stationary states of an open system - so called pointers. We find pointers by applying the FGKLS equation to asymptotically constant density matrix. In seeking pointers, we have been able to propose a perturbative scheme of calculation, if we take the interaction components with an environment to be weak. Thus, the Lindblad operators can be used in some way as expansion parameters for perturbation theory. The scheme we propose is different for the cases of non-degenerate and degenerate Hamiltonian. We illustrate our scheme by particular examples of quantum harmonic oscillator with spin in external magnetic field. The efficiency of the perturbation algorithm is demonstrated by its comparison with the exact solution.

Explicit isometric embeddings of collapsing dust ball

The work is devoted to the search for explicit isometric embeddings of a metric corresponding to the collapse of spherically symmetric matter with the formation of a black hole. Two approaches are considered: in the first, the embedding is constructed for the whole manifold at once; in the second, the idea of a junction of solutions, obtained separately for areas inside and outside the dust ball, is used. In the framework of the first approach, a global smooth embedding in 7D space with a signature (2 + 5) was constructed. It corresponds to the formation of the horizon as a result of matter falling from infinity. The second approach generally leads to an embedding in 7D space with the signature (1 + 6). This embedding corresponds to the case when matter flies out of a white hole with the disappearance of its horizon, after which the radius of the dust ball reaches its maximum, and then a collapse occurs with the formation of the horizon of a black hole. The embedding obtained is not smooth everywhere --- it contains a kink on the edge of the dust ball, and {also, it is} not quite global. In the particular case, when the maximum radius of the dust ball coincides with the radius of the horizon, it is possible to construct a global smooth embedding in a flat 6D space with a signature (1 + 5).

Generalization of SUSY Intertwining Relations: New Exact Solutions of Fokker-Planck Equation

It is commonly known that the Fokker-Planck equation is exactly solvable only for some particular systems, usually with time-independent drift coefficients. To extend the class of solvable problems, we use the intertwining relations of SUSY Quantum Mechanics but in new - asymmetric - form. It turns out that this form is just useful for solution of Fokker-Planck equation. As usual, intertwining provides a partnership between two different systems both described by Fokker-Planck equation. Due to the use of an asymmetric kind of intertwining relations with a suitable ansatz, we managed to obtain a new class of analytically solvable models. What is important, this approach allows us to deal with the drift coefficients depending on both variables, $x,$ and $t.$ An illustrating example of the proposed construction is given explicitly.

Polyakov-like approach to the modified gravity and other geometric theories

We study the procedure that allows to rewrite the actions of some modified gravity theories like mimetic gravity and Regge-Teitelboim embedding theory as Einstein-Hilbert actions with additional matter contributions. It turns out that this procedure can be applied to brane action, which lead to a polynomial brane action. We also examine the connection between this procedure and Polyakov trick in string theory.

Solution of Second Order Supersymmetrical Intertwining Relations in Minkowski Plane

Supersymmetrical (SUSY) intertwining relations are generalized to the case of quantum Hamiltonians in Minkowski space. For intertwining operators (supercharges) of second order in derivatives the intertwined Hamiltonians correspond to completely integrable systems with the symmetry operators of fourth order in momenta. In terms of components, the itertwining relations correspond to the system of nonlinear differential equations which are solvable with the simplest - constant - ansatzes for the "metric" matrix in second order part of the supercharges. The corresponding potentials are built explicitly both for diagonalizable and nondiagonalizable form of "metric" matrices, and their properties are discussed.

Some Properties of the Shape Invariant Two-Dimensional Scarf II Model

Two-dimensional Scarf~II quantum model is considered in the framework of Supersymmetrical Quantum Mechanics (SUSY QM). Previously obtained results for this integrable system are systematized, and some new properties are derived. In particular, it is shown that the model is exactly or quasi-exactly solvable in different regions of parameter of the system. The degeneracy of the spectrum is detected for some specific values of parameters. The action of the symmetry operators of fourth order in momenta is calculated for the arbitrary wave functions, obtained by means of double shape invariance.

SUSY Method for the Three-Dimensional Schrödinger Equation with Effective Mass

The three-dimensional Schrödinger equation with a position-dependent (effective) mass is studied in the framework of Supersymmetrical (SUSY) Quantum Mechanics. The general solution of SUSY intertwining relations with first order supercharges is obtained without any preliminary constraints. Several forms of coefficient functions of the supercharges are investigated and analytical expressions for the mass function and partner potentials are found. As usual for SUSY Quantum Mechanics with nonsingular superpotentials, the spectra of intertwined Hamiltonians coincide up to zero modes of supercharges, and the corresponding wave functions are connected by intertwining relations. All models are partially integrable by construction: each of them has at least one second order symmetry operator.

New Implicitly Solvable Potential Produced by Second Order Shape Invariance

The procedure proposed recently by J.Bougie, A.Gangopadhyaya and J.V.Mallow to study the general form of shape invariant potentials in one-dimensional Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics (SUSY QM) is generalized to the case of Higher Order SUSY QM with supercharges of second order in momentum. A new shape invariant potential is constructed by this method. It is singular at the origin, it grows at infinity, and its spectrum depends on the choice of connection conditions in the singular point. The corresponding Schrödinger equation is solved explicitly: the wave functions are constructed analytically, and the energy spectrum is defined implicitly via the transcendental equation which involves Confluent Hypergeometric functions.

Analytical Solution of Two-Dimensional Scarf II Model by Means of SUSY Methods

New two-dimensional quantum model - the generalization of the Scarf II - is completely solved analytically for the integer values of parameter. This model being not amenable to conventional procedure of separation of variables is solved by recently proposed method of supersymmetrical separation. The latter is based on two constituents of SUSY Quantum Mechanics: the intertwining relations with second order supercharges and the property of shape invariance. As a result, all energies of bound states were found, and the analytical expressions for corresponding wave functions were obtained.

Equidistance of the Complex 2-Dim Anharmonic Oscillator Spectrum: Exact Solution

We study a class of quantum two-dimensional models with complex potentials of specific form. They can be considered as the generalization of a recently studied model with quadratic interaction not amenable to conventional separation of variables. In the present case, the property of shape invariance provides the equidistant form of the spectrum and the algorithm to construct eigenfunctions analytically. It is shown that the Hamiltonian is non-diagonalizable, and the resolution of identity must include also the corresponding associated functions. In the specific case of anharmonic second-plus-fourth order interaction, expressions for the wave functions and associated functions are constructed explicitly for the lowest levels, and the recursive algorithm to produce higher level wave functions is given.

General Solution of the Two-Dimensional Intertwining Relations for Supercharges with Hyperbolic (Lorentz) Metrics

The supersymmetrical intertwining relations are the most productive part of the supersymmetrical method in two-dimensional Quantum Mechanics. Most interesting are relations with hyperbolic form of derivatives in supercharges. So far, several explicit solutions were found, and they provide nontrivial two-dimensional potentials which were further studied by means of supersymmetrical methods. In the present paper the general solution of intertwining relations with hyperbolic structure of supercharges is obtained. The corresponding potentials are built explicitly, and it is evident that some of them were not known before now.

Nonlinear Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics: concepts and realizations

Nonlinear SUSY approach to preparation of quantum systems with pre-planned spectral properties is reviewed. Possible multidimensional extensions of Nonlinear SUSY are described. The full classification of ladder-reducible and irreducible chains of SUSY algebras in one-dimensional QM is given. Emergence of hidden symmetries and spectrum generating algebras is elucidated in the context of Nonlinear SUSY in one- and two-dimensional QM.

Supersymmetrical Separation of Variables for Scarf II Model: Partial Solvability

Recently, a new quantum model - two-dimensional generalization of the Scarf II - was completely solved analytically by SUSY method for the integer values of parameter. Now, the same integrable model, but with arbitrary values of parameter, will be studied by means of supersymmetrical intertwining relations. The Hamiltonian does not allow the conventional separation of variables, but the supercharge operator does allow, leading to the partial solvability of the model. This approach, which can be called as the first variant of SUSY-separation, together with shape invariance of the model, provides analytical calculation of the part of spectrum and corresponding wave functions (quasi-exact-solvability). The model is shown to obey two different variants of shape invariance which can be combined effectively in construction of energy levels and wave functions.

Three-Dimensional Shape Invariant Non-Separable Model With Equidistant Spectrum

A class of three-dimensional models which satisfy supersymmetric intertwining relations with the simplest - oscillator-like - variant of shape invariance is constructed. It is proved that the models are not amenable to conventional separation of variables for the complex potentials, but their spectra are real and equidistant (like for isotropic harmonic oscillator). The special case of such potential with quadratic interaction is solved completely. The Hamiltonian of the system is non-diagonalizable, and its wave functions and associated functions are built analytically. The symmetry properties of the model and degeneracy of energy levels are studied.

Factorization Method in Curvilinear Coordinates and Pairing of Levels for Matrix Potentials

Multidimensional factorization method is formulated in arbitrary curvilinear coordinates. Particular cases of polar and spherical coordinates are considered and matrix potentials with separating variables are constructed. A new class of matrix potentials is obtained which reveals a double degeneracy or equidistant splitting of energy levels (hidden symmetry).

New Two-Dimensional Quantum Models with Shape Invariance

Two-dimensional quantum models which obey the property of shape invariance are built in the framework of polynomial two-dimensional SUSY Quantum Mechanics. They are obtained using the expressions for known one-dimensional shape invariant potentials. The constructed Hamiltonians are integrable with symmetry operators of fourth order in momenta, and they are not amenable to the conventional separation of variables.

Exactly Solvable Non-Separable and Non-Diagonalizable 2-Dim Model with Quadratic Complex Interaction

We study a quantum model with non-isotropic two-dimensional oscillator potential but with additional quadratic interaction $x_1x_2$ with imaginary coupling constant. It is shown, that for a specific connection between coupling constant and oscillator frequences, the model {\it is not} amenable to a conventional separation of variables. The property of shape invariance allows to find analytically all eigenfunctions and the spectrum is found to be equidistant. It is shown that the Hamiltonian is non-diagonalizable, and the resolution of the identity must include also the corresponding associated functions. These functions are constructed explicitly, and their properties are investigated. The problem of $R-$separation of variables in two-dimensional systems is discussed.

New Exactly Solvable Two-Dimensional Quantum Model Not Amenable to Separation of Variables

The supersymmetric intertwining relations with second order supercharges allow to investigate new two-dimensional model which is not amenable to standard separation of variables. The corresponding potential being the two-dimensional generalization of well known one-dimensional Pöschl-Teller model is proven to be exactly solvable for arbitrary integer value of parameter $p:$ all its bound state energy eigenvalues are found analytically, and the algorithm for analytical calculation of all wave functions is given. The shape invariance of the model and its integrability are of essential importance to obtain these results.

Exact Solvability of Two-Dimensional Real Singular Morse Potential

The supersymmetric approach in the form of second order intertwining relations is used to prove the exact solvability of two-dimensional Schrodinger equation with generalized two-dimensional Morse potential for $a_0=-1/2$. This two-parametric model is not amenable to conventional separation of variables, but it is completely integrable: the symmetry operator of fourth order in momenta exists. All bound state energies are found explicitly, and all corresponding wave functions are built analytically. By means of shape invariance property, the result is extended to the hierarchy of Morse models with arbitrary integer and half-integer values $a_k=-(k+1)/2.$

Two-dimensional Schrödinger Hamiltonians with Effective Mass in SUSY Approach

The general solution of SUSY intertwining relations of first order for two-dimensional Schrödinger operators with position-dependent (effective) mass is built in terms of four arbitrary functions. The procedure of separation of variables for the constructed potentials is demonstrated in general form. The generalization for intertwining of second order is also considered. The general solution for a particular form of intertwining operator is found, its properties - symmetry, irreducibility, separation of variables - are investigated.

Higher Order Matrix SUSY Transformations in Two-Dimensional Quantum Mechanics

The iteration procedure of supersymmetric transformations for the two-dimensional Schroedinger operator is implemented by means of the matrix form of factorization in terms of matrix 2x2 supercharges. Two different types of iterations are investigated in detail. The particular case of diagonal initial Hamiltonian is considered, and the existence of solutions is demonstrated. Explicit examples illustrate the construction.

SUSY Intertwining Relations of Third Order in Derivatives

The general solution of the intertwining relations between a pair of Schrödinger Hamiltonians by the supercharges of third order in derivatives is obtained. The solution is expressed in terms of one arbitrary function. Some properties of the spectrum of the Hamiltonian are derived, and wave functions for three energy levels are constructed. This construction can be interpreted as addition of three new levels to the spectrum of partner potential: a ground state and a pair of levels between successive excited states. Possible types of factorization of the third order supercharges are analysed, the connection with earlier known results is discussed.

Higher-Order Derivative Susy in Quantum Mechanics with Large Energy Shifts

Within the framework of second order derivative (one dimensional) SUSYQM we discuss particular realizations which incorporate large energy shifts between the lowest states of the spectrum of the superhamiltonian (of Schrödinger type). The technique used in this construction is based on the "gluing" procedure. We study the limit of infinite energy shift for the charges of the Higher Derivative SUSY Algebra, and compare the results with those of the standard SUSY Algebra. We conjecture that our results can suggest a construction of a toy model where large energy splittings between fermionic and bosonic partners do not affect the SUSY at low energies.

Second Order Derivative Supersymmetry and Scattering Problem

Extensions of standard one-dimensional supersymmetric quantum mechanics are discussed. Supercharges involving higher order derivatives are introduced leading to an algebra which incorporates a higher order polynomial in the Hamiltonian. We study scattering amplitudes for that problem. We also study the role of a dilatation of the spatial coordinate leading to a q-deformed supersymmetric algebra. An explicit model for the scattering amplitude is constructed in terms of a hypergeometric function which corresponds to a reflectionless potential with infinitely many bound states.
