Soliton resolution for the energy critical wave equation with inverse-square potential in the radial case

In this paper, we establish the soliton resolution for the energy critical wave equation with inverse square potential in the radial case and in all dimensions $N\geq3$. The structure of the radial linear operator $\mathcal{L}_a :=-Δ+\frac{a}{|x|^2}=A^*A$, is essential for the channel of energy, where $A$ is a first order differential operator and $A^*$ is its adjoint operator. Modulation and analysis of the multi-solitons are performed in the function spaces $\dot{H}^1_a(\Bbb R^N)\times L^2(\Bbb R^N)$ associated with $\mathcal{L}_a$.

Asymptotic behaviors of Landau-Lifshitz flows from $\Bbb R^2$ to Kähler manifolds

In this paper, we study the asymptotic behaviors of finite energy solutions to the Landau-Lifshitz flows from $\Bbb R^2$ into Kähler manifolds. First, we prove that the solution with initial data below the critical energy converges to a constant map in the energy space as $t\to \infty$ for the compact Riemannian surface targets. In particular, when the target is a two dimensional sphere, we prove that the solution to the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation with initial data having an energy below $4π$ converges to some constant map in the energy space. Second, for general compact Kähler manifolds and initial data of an arbitrary finite energy, we obtain a bubbling theorem analogous to the Struwe's results on the heat flows.

Long time behaviors for 3D cubic damped Klein-Gordon equations in inhomogeneous mediums

In this paper, we study the asymptotic dynamics of global solutions to damped Klein-Gordon equations in inhomogeneous mediums (KGI). In the defocusing case, we prove for any initial data, the solution is globally define in forward time and it will converge to an equilibrium. In the focusing case, for global solutions, we prove the solutions converge to the superposition of equilibriums among which there exists at most one equilibrium to KGI and the other equilibriums are solutions to stationary nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations. The core ingredients of our proof are the existence of the "concentration-compact attractor" and the gradient system theory.

The dynamics of the NLS with the combined terms in five and higher dimensions

In this paper, we continue the study in \cite{MiaoWZ:NLS:3d Combined} to show the scattering and blow-up result of the solution for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with the energy below the threshold $m$ in the energy space $H^1(\R^d)$, iu_t + Δu = -|u|^{4/(d-2)}u + |u|^{4/(d-1)}u, \; d\geq 5. \tag{CNLS} The threshold is given by the ground state $W$ for the energy-critical NLS: $iu_t + Δu = -|u|^{4/(d-2)}u$. Compared with the argument in \cite{MiaoWZ:NLS:3d Combined}, the new ingredient is that we use the double duhamel formula in \cite{Kiv:Clay Lecture, TaoVZ:NLS:mass compact} to lower the regularity of the critical element in $L^{\infty}_tH^1_x$ to $L^{\infty}\dot H^{-ε}_x$ for some $ε>0$ in five and higher dimensions and obtain the compactness of the critical element in $L^2_x$, which is used to control the spatial center function $x(t)$ of the critical element and furthermore used to defeat the critical element in the reductive argument.

Asymptotic decomposition for nonlinear damped Klein-Gordon equations

In this paper, we proved that if the solution to damped focusing Klein-Gordon equations is global forward in time, then it will decouple into a finite number of equilibrium points with different shifts from the origin. The core ingredient of our proof is the existence of the "concentration-compact attractor" which yields a finite number of profiles. Using damping effect, we can prove all the profiles are equilibrium points.

Asymptotic Stability of Solitons to Nonlinear Schrodinger Equations on Star Graphs

In this paper, we prove the asymptotic stability of nonlinear Schrodiger equations on star graphs, which partially solves an open problem in D. Noja \cite{DN}. The essential ingredient of our proof is the dispersive estimate for the linearized operator around the soliton with Kirchhoff boundary condition. In order to obtain the dispersive estimates, we use the Born's series technique and scattering theory for the linearized operator.

The dynamics of the 3D radial NLS with the combined terms

In this paper, we show the scattering and blow-up result of the radial solution with the energy below the threshold for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) with the combined terms iu_t + Δu = -|u|^4u + |u|^2u \tag{CNLS} in the energy space $H^1(\R^3)$. The threshold is given by the ground state $W$ for the energy-critical NLS: $iu_t + Δu = -|u|^4u$. This problem was proposed by Tao, Visan and Zhang in \cite{TaoVZ:NLS:combined}. The main difficulty is the lack of the scaling invariance. Illuminated by \cite{IbrMN:f:NLKG}, we need give the new radial profile decomposition with the scaling parameter, then apply it into the scattering theory. Our result shows that the defocusing, $\dot H^1$-subcritical perturbation $|u|^2u$ does not affect the determination of the threshold of the scattering solution of (CNLS) in the energy space.

Global well-posedness and scattering for the energy-critical, defocusing Hartree equation in $\mathbb{R}^{1+n}$

Using the same induction on energy argument in both frequency space and spatial space simultaneously as in \cite{CKSTT07}, \cite{RyV05} and \cite{Vi05}, we obtain global well-posedness and scattering of energy solutions of defocusing energy-critical nonlinear Hartree equation in $\mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{R}^n$($n\geq 5$), which removes the radial assumption on the data in \cite{MiXZ07a}. The new ingredients are that we use a modified long time perturbation theory to obtain the frequency localization (Proposition \ref{freqdelocaimplystbound} and Corollary \ref{frequencylocalization}) of the minimal energy blow up solutions, which can not be obtained from the classical long time perturbation and bilinear estimate and that we obtain the spatial concentration of minimal energy blow up solution after proving that $L^{\frac{2n}{n-2}}_x$-norm of minimal energy blow up solutions is bounded from below, the $L^{\frac{2n}{n-2}}_x$-norm is larger than the potential energy.

On the blow up phenomenon for the $L^2$-critical focusing Hartree equation in $\Bbb R^4$

We characterize the dynamics of the finite time blow up solutions with minimal mass for the focusing mass critical Hartree equation with $H^1(\mathbb{R}^4)$ data and $L^2(\mathbb{R}^4)$ data, where we make use of the refined Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality of convolution type and the profile decomposition. Moreover, we also analyze the mass concentration phenomenon of such blow up solutions.
