ComfySearch: Autonomous Exploration and Reasoning for ComfyUI Workflows

AI-generated content has progressed from monolithic models to modular workflows, especially on platforms like ComfyUI, allowing users to customize complex creative pipelines. However, the large number of components in ComfyUI and the difficulty of maintaining long-horizon structural consistency under strict graph constraints frequently lead to low pass rates and workflows of limited quality. To tackle these limitations, we present ComfySearch, an agentic framework that can effectively explore the component space and generate functional ComfyUI pipelines via validation-guided workflow construction. Experiments demonstrate that ComfySearch substantially outperforms existing methods on complex and creative tasks, achieving higher executability (pass) rates, higher solution rates, and stronger generalization.

Statistically preferred basis of an open quantum system: Its relation to the eigenbasis of a renormalized self-Hamiltonian

We study the problem of the basis of an open quantum system, under a quantum chaotic environment, which is preferred in view of its stationary reduced density matrix (RDM), that is, the basis in which the stationary RDM is diagonal. It is shown that, under an initial condition composed of sufficiently many energy eigenstates of the total system, such a basis is given by the eigenbasis of a renormalized self-Hamiltonian of the system, in the limit of large Hilbert space of the environment. Here, the renormalized self-Hamiltonian is given by the unperturbed self-Hamiltonian plus a certain average of the interaction Hamiltonian over the environmental degrees of freedom. Numerical simulations, performed in two models, both with the kicked rotor as the environment, give results consistent with the above analytical predictions for the limit of large environment.

Preferred States of Decoherence under Intermediate System-Environment Coupling

The notion that decoherence rapidly reduces a superposition state to an incoherent mixture implicitly adopts a special representation, namely, the representation of preferred (pointer) states (PS). For weak or strong system-environment coupling, PS is known to be the energy eigenstates of the system Hamiltonian or the eigenstates of the system-environment interaction Hamiltonian. Via a simple dynamical model that simulates a two-level system interacting with few other degrees of freedom as its environment, it is shown that even for intermediate system-environment coupling, approximate PS may still emerge from the coherent quantum dynamics of the whole system in the absence of any thermal averaging. The found PS can also continuously deform to expected limits for weak or strong system-environment coupling. Computational results are also qualitatively explained. The findings should be useful towards further understandings of decoherence and quantum thermalization processes.

Efficiency of dynamical decoupling sequences in presence of pulse errors

For a generic dynamical decoupling sequence employing a single-axis control, we study its efficiency in the presence of small errors in direction of the controlling-pulses. In the case that the corresponding ideal dynamical-decoupling sequence produces good results, the impact of the errors is found to scale as $ξ^2$, with negligible first-order effect, where $ξ$ is the dispersion of the random errors. This analytical prediction is numerically tested in a model, in which the environment is modeled by one qubit coupled to a quantum kicked rotator in chaotic motion. In this model, with periodic pulses applied to the qubit in the environment, it is shown numerically that Uhrig dynamical decoupling is not necessarily better than the bang-bang control.

Semiclassical Approach to Survival Probability at Quantum Phase Transitions

We study the decay of survival probability at quantum phase transitions (QPT). The semiclassical theory is found applicable in the vicinities of critical points with infinite degeneracy. The theory predicts a power law decay of the survival probability for relatively long times in systems with d=1 and an exponential decay in systems with sufficiently large d, where d is the degrees of freedom of the underlying classical dynamics. The semiclassical predictions are checked numerically in four models.
