Gauge theory and little gauge theory

The gauge theory is the most important type of the field theory, in which the interactions of the elementary particles are described by the exchange of the gauge bosons. In this article, the gauge theory is reexamined as geometry of the vector space, and a new concept of "little gauge theory" is introduced. A key peculiarity of the little gauge theory is that the theory is able to give a restriction for form of the connection field. Based on the little gauge theory, Cartan geometry, a charged boson and the Dirac fermion field theory are investigated. In particular, the Dirac fermion field theory leads to an extension of Sogami's covariant derivative. And it is interpreted that Higgs bosons are included in new fields introduced in this article.

Current Algebras and QP Manifolds

Generalized current algebras introduced by Alekseev and Strobl in two dimensions are reconstructed by a graded manifold and a graded Poisson brackets. We generalize their current algebras to higher dimensions. QP manifolds provide the unified structures of current algebras in any dimension. Current algebras give rise to structures of Leibniz/Loday algebroids, which are characterized by QP structures. Especially, in three dimensions, a current algebra has a structure of a Lie algebroid up to homotopy introduced by Uchino and one of the authors which has a bracket of a generalization of the Courant-Dorfman bracket. Anomaly cancellation conditions are reinterpreted as generalizations of the Dirac structure.

q-Deformed Onsager symmetry in boundary integrable models related to twisted U$_{q^{1/2}}(\hat{sl_2})$ symmetry

We consider an unified model, called ancestor model, associated with twisted trigonometric $R$ matrix which model leads to several descendant integrable lattice models related to the U$_{q^{1/2}}(\hat{sl_2})$ symmetry. Boundary operators compatible with integrability are introduced to this model. Reflection and dual reflection equations to ensure integrability of the system are shown to be same as the untwisted case. It follows that underlying symmetry of the ancestor model with integrable boundaries is identified with the q-deformed analogue of Onsager's symmetry. The transfer matrix and its related mutually commuting quantities are expressed in terms of an abelian subalgebra in the $q$-Onsager algebra. It is illustrated that the generalized McCoy-Wu model with general open boundaries enjoys this symmetry.

Toda Molecule and Tomimatsu-Sato Solution $\sim$ Towards the complete proof of Nakamura's conjecture$\sim$

We discuss the Nakamura's conjecture stating that the Tomimatsu-Sato black hole solution with integer deformation parameter $n$ is composed of the special solutions of the Toda molecule equation at the $n$-th lattice site. From the previous work, in which the conjecture was partly analytically proved, we go further towards final full proof by rearranging the rotation parameter. The proof is explicitly performed for the highest and lowest orders. Though the proof for all orders remains still unsolved, the prospect to the full proof becomes transparent and workable by our method.
