Higgs bosons in the simplest SUSY models

Nowadays in the MSSM the moderate values of $\tanβ$ are almost excluded by LEP II lower bound on the lightest Higgs boson mass. In the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model the theoretical upper bound on it increases and reaches maximal value in the strong Yukawa coupling limit when all solutions of renormalization group equations are concentrated near the quasi-fixed point. For calculation of Higgs boson spectrum the perturbation theory method can be applied. We investigate the particle spectrum in the framework of the modified NMSSM which leads to the self-consistent solution in the strong Yukawa coupling limit. This model allows one to get $m_h\sim 125$ GeV at values of $\tanβ\ge 1.9$. In the investigated model the lightest Higgs boson mass does not exceed $130.5\pm 3.5$ GeV. The upper bound on the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass in more complicated supersymmetric models is also discussed.

A connection between inclusive semileptonic decays of bound and free heavy quarks

A relativistic constituent quark model, formulated on the light-front, is used to derive a new parton approximation for the inclusive semileptonic decay width of the B-meson. A simple connection between the decay rate of a free heavy-quark and the one of a heavy-quark bound in a meson or in a baryon is established. The main features of the new approach are the treatment of the b-quark as an on-mass-shell particle and the inclusion of the effects arising from the b-quark transverse motion in the B-meson. In a way conceptually similar to the deep-inelastic scattering case, the B-meson inclusive width is expressed as the integral of the free b-quark partial width multiplied by a bound-state factor related to the b-quark distribution function in the B-meson. The non-perturbative meson structure is described through various quark-model wave functions, constructed via the Hamiltonian light-front formalism using as input both relativized and non-relativistic potential models. A link between spectroscopic quark models and the B-meson decay physics is obtained in this way. Our predictions for the B -> X_c l nu_l and B -> X_u l nu_l decays are used to extract the CKM parameters |V_cb| and |V_ub| from available inclusive data. After averaging over the various quark models adopted and including leading-order perturbative QCD corrections, we obtain |V_cb| = (43.0 +/- 0.7_exp +/- 1.8_th) 10^-3 and |V_ub| = (3.83 +/- 0.48_exp +/- 0.14_th) 10^-3, implying |V_ub / V_cb| = 0.089 +/- 0.011_exp +/- 0.005_th, in nice agreement with existing predictions.

Mass and CKM Matrices of Quarks and Leptons, the Leptonic CP-phase in neutrino oscillations

A general approach for construction of quark and lepton mass matrices is formulated. The hierarchy of quarks and charged leptons ("electrons") is large, it leads using the experimental values of mixing angles to the hierarchical mass matrix slightly deviating from one's suggested earlier by Stech and including naturally the CP-phase. The same method based on the rotation of generation numbers in the diagonal mass matrix is used in the electron-neutrino sector of theory, where neutrino mass matrix is determined by the Majorano see-saw approach. The hierarchy of neutrino masses, much smaller than for quarks, was used including all existing (even preliminary) experimental data on neutrinos mixing. The leptonic mass matrix found in this way includes not known value of the leptonic CP-phase. It leads to a large $ν_μν_τ$ oscillations and suppresses the $ν_eν_τ$ and also $ν_e ν_μ$ oscillations. The explicit expressions for the probabilities of neutrino oscillation were obtained in order to specify the role of leptonic CP-phase. The value of time reversal effect (proportional to $\sinδ'$) was found to be small $\sim 1%$. However, a dependence of the values of $ν_e ν_μ, ν_e ν_τ$ transition probabilities, averaged over oscillations, on the leptonic CP-phase has found to be not small - of order of tens percent.
