This article derives the distribution of random matrix $\mathbf{X}$ associated with the transformation $\mathbf{Y} = \mathbf{X}^{*}\mathbf{X}$, such that $\mathbf{Y}$ has a Riesz distribution for real normed division algebras. Two versions of this distributions are proposed and some of their properties are studied.

This paper proposes a generalisation of the Pearson type II distribution, which shall termed Pearson Type II-Riesz distribution, based in the Kotz-Riesz distribution. Specifically, the central nonsingular matricvariate generalised Pearson type II-Riesz distribution, beta-Riesz type I distributions and the joint density of the singular values for real normed division algebras are obtained.

This paper proposes the density and characteristic functions of a general matrix quadratic form $\mathbf{X}^{*}\mathbf{AX}$, when $\mathbf{A} = \mathbf{A}^{*}$, $\mathbf{X}$ has a matrix multivariate elliptical distribution and $\mathbf{X}^{*}$ denotes the usual conjugate transpose of $\mathbf{X}$. These results are obtained for real normed division algebras. This article presents a unified approach to simultaneously compute the Jacobians of several singular matrix transformations in the real, complex, quaternion and octonion cases. Formally, these Jacobians are obtained for real normed division algebras with respect to the Hausdorff measure.
A case of the matrix Kummer relation of Herz (1955) based on the Pearson VII type matrix model is derived in this paper. As a consequence, the polynomial Pearson VII configuration density is obtained and this set the corresponding exact inference as a solvable aspect in shape theory.
Sensitivity analysis of the optimal solution in response surface methodology is studied and an explicit form of the effect of perturbation of the regression coefficients on the optimal solution is obtained. The characterisation of the critical point of the convex program corresponding to the optimum of a response surface model is also studied. The asymptotic normality of the optimal solution follows by standard methods.
A modified Prekopa's approach is considered for the problem of optimum allocation in multivariate stratified random sampling. An example is solved by applying the proposed methodology.
The multiresponse surface problem is modelled as one of multiobjective stochastic optimisation, and diverse solutions are proposed. Several crucial differences are highlighted between this approach and others that have been proposed. Finally, in a numerical example, some particular solutions are applied and described in detail.
This work considers the allocation problem for multivariate stratified random sampling as a problem of integer non-linear stochastic multiobjective mathematical programming. With this goal in mind the asymptotic distribution of the vector of sample variances is studied. Two alternative approaches are suggested for solving the allocation problem for multivariate stratified random sampling. An example is presented by applying the different proposed techniques.
The allocation problem for multivariate stratified random sampling as a problem of stochastic matrix integer mathematical programming is considered. With these aims the asymptotic normality of sample covariance matrices for each strata is established. Some alternative approaches are suggested for its solution. This work sets the statistical affine shape theory in the context of real normed division algebras. The general densities apply for every field: real, complex, quaternion, octonion, and for any noncentral and non-isotropic elliptical distribution; then the separated published works about real and complex shape distributions can be obtained as corollaries by a suitable selection of the field parameter and univariate integrals involving the generator elliptical function. As a particular case, the complex normal affine density is derived and applied in brain magnetic resonance scans of normal and schizophrenic patients.
This work proposes a new model in the context of statistical theory of shape, based on the polar decomposition. The non isotropic noncentral elliptical shape distributions via polar decomposition is derived in the context of zonal polynomials, avoiding the invariant polynomials and the open problems for their computation. The new polar shape distributions are easily computable and then the inference procedure can be studied under exact densities. As an example of the technique, a classical application in Biology is studied under three models, the usual Gaussian and two non normal Kotz models; the best model is selected by a modified BIC criterion, then a test for equality in polar shapes is performed.

The so termed cone and disk densities here obtained generalise some results of the literature. Finally, some particular densities are applied in a classical data of Biology, and the inference is performed after choosing the best model by using a modified BIC criterion.
