Crosscap States in Integrable Field Theories and Spin Chains

We study crosscap states in integrable field theories and spin chains in 1+1 dimensions. We derive an exact formula for overlaps between the crosscap state and any excited state in integrable field theories with diagonal scattering. We then compute the crosscap entropy, i.e. the overlap for the ground state, in some examples. In the examples we analyzed, the result turns out to decrease monotonically along the renormalization group flow except in cases where the discrete symmetry is spontaneously broken in the infrared. We next introduce crosscap states in integrable spin chains, and obtain determinant expressions for the overlaps with energy eigenstates. These states are long-range entangled and their entanglement entropy grows linearly until the size of the subregion reaches half the system size. This property is reminiscent of pure-state black holes in holography and makes them interesting for use as initial conditions of quantum quench. As side results, we propose a generalization of Zamolodchikov's staircase model to flows between D-series minimal models, and discuss the relation to fermionic minimal models and the GSO projection.

Maximally Supersymmetric RG Flows in 4D and Integrability

We revisit the leading irrelevant deformation of $\mathcal{N}=4$ Super Yang-Mills theory that preserves sixteen supercharges. We consider the deformed theory on $S^3 \times \mathbb{R}$. We are able to write a closed form expression of the classical action thanks to a formalism that realizes eight supercharges off shell. We then investigate integrability of the spectral problem, by studying the spin-chain Hamiltonian in planar perturbation theory. While there are some structural indications that a suitably defined deformation might preserve integrability, we are unable to settle this question by our two-loop calculation; indeed up to this order we recover the integrable Hamiltonian of undeformed $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM due to accidental symmetry enhancement. We also comment on the holographic interpretation of the theory.

Hexagons and Correlators in the Fishnet Theory

We investigate the hexagon formalism in the planar 4d conformal fishnet theory. This theory arises from N=4 SYM by a deformation that preserves both conformal symmetry and integrability. Based on this relation, we obtain the hexagon form factors for a large class of states, including the BMN vacuum, some excited states, and the Lagrangian density. We apply these form factors to the computation of several correlators and match the results with direct Feynman diagrammatic calculations. We also study the renormalisation of the hexagon form factor expansion for a family of diagonal structure constants and test the procedure at higher orders through comparison with a known universal formula for the Lagrangian insertion.

Fermionic Correlators from Integrability

We study three-point functions of single-trace operators in the su(1|1) sector of planar N = 4 SYM borrowing several tools based on Integrability. In the most general configuration of operators in this sector, we have found a determinant expression for the tree-level structure constants. We then compare the predictions of the recently proposed hexagon program against all available data. We have obtained a match once additional sign factors are included when the two hexagon form-factors are assembled together to form the structure constants. In the particular case of one BPS and two non-BPS operators we managed to identify the relevant form-factors with a domain wall partition function of a certain six-vertex model. This partition function can be explicitly evaluated and factorizes at all loops. In addition, we use this result to compute the structure constants and show that at strong coupling in the so-called BMN regime, its leading order contribution has a determinant expression.

OPE for all Helicity Amplitudes II. Form Factors and Data Analysis

We present the general flux tube integrand for MHV and non-MHV amplitudes, in planar N = 4 SYM theory, up to a group theoretical rational factor. We find that the MHV and non-MHV cases only differ by simple form factors which we derive. This information allows us to run the operator product expansion program for all sorts of non-MHV amplitudes and to test the recently proposed map with the so called charged pentagons transitions. Perfect agreement is found, on a large sample of non-MHV amplitudes, with the perturbative data available in the literature.

OPE for all Helicity Amplitudes

We extend the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) for scattering amplitudes in planar N=4 SYM to account for all possible helicities of the external states. This is done by constructing a simple map between helicity configurations and so-called charged pentagon transitions. These OPE building blocks are generalizations of the bosonic pentagons entering MHV amplitudes and they can be bootstrapped at finite coupling from the integrable dynamics of the color flux tube. A byproduct of our map is a simple realization of parity in the super Wilson loop picture.

Three-Point Functions and su(1|1) Spin Chains

We compute three-point functions of general operators in the su(1|1) sector of planar N = 4 SYM in the weak coupling regime, both at tree-level and one-loop. Each operator is represented by a closed spin chain Bethe state characterized by a set of momenta parameterizing the fermionic excitations. At one-loop, we calculate both the two-loop Bethe eigenstates and the relevant Feynman diagrams for the three-point functions within our setup. The final expression for the structure constants is surprisingly simple and hints at a possible form factor based approach yet to be unveiled.

On four-point functions and integrability in N=4 SYM: from weak to strong coupling

Using integrability techniques, we compute four-point functions of single trace gauge-invariant operators in N=4 SYM to leading order at weak coupling. Our results are valid for operators of arbitrary size. In particular, we study the limit in which two of the four operators are taken to be much smaller than the others. We show that in this limit our weak coupling result matches with the strong coupling result in the Frolov-Tseytlin limit.

Unified approach to the SU(2) Principal Chiral Field model at Finite Volume

Typically, the exact ground state energy of integrable models at finite volume can be computed using two main methods: the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz approach and the lattice discretization technique. For quantum sigma models (with non-ultra local Poisson structures) the bridge between these two approaches has only been done through numerical methods. We briefly review these two techniques on the example of the SU(2) principal chiral field model and derive a single integral equation based on the Faddeev-Reshetikhin discretization of the model. We show that this integral equation is equivalent to the single integral equation of Gromov, Kazakov and Vieira derived from the TBA approach.
