We study the Zariski cancellation problem for Poisson algebras in three variables. In particular, we prove those with Poisson bracket either being quadratic or derived from a Lie algebra are cancellative. We also use various Poisson algebra invariants, including the Poisson Makar-Limanov invariant, the divisor Poisson subalgebra, and the Poisson stratiform length, to study the skew cancellation problem for Poisson algebras.
We study actions of pointed Hopf algebras in the $\ZZ$-graded setting. Our main result classifies inner-faithful actions of generalized Taft algebras on quantum generalized Weyl algebras which respect the $\ZZ$-grading. We also show that generically the invariant rings of Taft actions on quantum generalized Weyl algebras are commutative Kleinian singularities.
We introduce the reflexive hull discriminant as a tool to study noncommutative algebras that are finitely generated, but not necessarily free, over their centers. As an example, we compute the reflexive hull discriminants for quantum generalized Weyl algebras and use them to determine automorphism groups and other properties, recovering results of Su{á}rez-Alvarez, Vivas, and others.
We study actions of bosonizations of quantum linear spaces on quantum algebras. Under mild conditions, we classify actions on quantum affine spaces and quantum matrix algebras. In the former case, it is shown that all actions of generalized Taft algebras are trivial extensions of actions on quantum planes. In both cases we achieve bounds on the rank of the bosonization acting on the algebra.
