Constraints on cosmological parameters in light of the scalar-tensor theory of gravity and swampland conjectures

In this paper, we study various cosmological parameters and quantities in scalar-tensor gravity from inflation and swampland conjecture. Therefore, by selecting different models such as power-law, exponential, and logarithmic in the framework of scalar-tensor theory, we obtain potential, tensor-to-scalar ratio, and the scalar spectral index. Next, we examine new constraints and compare the corresponding results with the latest observable data. Here, we take advantage of the obtained results and determine the compatibility or incompatibility of the corresponding model with the swampland conjectures

Smeared Mass Source Wormholes in Modified $f(R)$ Gravity with the Lorentzian Density Distribution Function

Wormholes are speculative structures linking disparate space-time points. Their geometry can be obtained by solving Einstein equations with tolerating the violation of null energy conditions. Recently, many researchers have studied different wormholes according to different criteria, and they achieved remarkable results. In this paper, we investigate a series of exact solutions of the static wormhole with smeared mass source geometry in modified $f(R)$ gravity theories. In fact, we consider the Lorentzian density distribution which is coming from a particle-like source. To be more specific, the modified gravity models we consider here are some power laws. We compute resulting solutions according to the wormhole field equations. We also specify parameters such as the radial pressure and transverse pressure as well as various energy conditions such as null energy conditions, weak energy conditions and strong energy conditions. Finally, by plotting some figures, in addition to identifying the wormhole throat, we describe the results of either the violation or the satisfaction of the energy conditions completely.

Swampland conjectures in hybrid metric-Palatini gravity

In this paper, we study a hybrid combination of Einstein-Hilbert action with curvature scalar $R$, and a function $f(\mathcal{R})$ in Palatini gravity within the context of inflationary scenario, from the Swampland conjecture point of view. This hybrid model has been paid attention in recent cosmological studies, and its applications have been widely studied in the literature. In this regard, using the Swampland conjecture (using ($ C_ {1} $) as the first component of dS swampland conjecture, which is obtained from the first derivative of the potential upon the potential and ($ C_ {2} $) as the second component which is acquired from the second derivative of the potential upon the potential), we investigate the cosmological implications of the present gravity theory, with a suitable potential, in the framework of inflationary scenario to obtain cosmological quantities such as slow-roll parameter, scalar spectral index $(n_{s})$, tensor-to-scalar ratio ($r_{s}$), and then compare them with the cosmological observations. Moreover, we compare the compatibility or incompatibility of the model with observable data, such as Planck, by applying Swampland conjecture to $r_{s}-n_{s}$ , $C_{1,2}-n_{s}$ and $C_{1,2}-r_{s}$ plots.

Swampland dS conjecture in Mimetic $f(R, T)$ gravity

In this paper, we study a theory of gravity called mimetic $f(R, T)$ in the presence of swampland dS conjecture. For this purpose, we introduce several inflation solutions of the Hubble parameter H(N) from $f(R, T)= R+δT$ gravity model, in which R is Ricci scalar, and T denotes the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. Also, $δ$ and $N$ are the free parameter and a number of e-fold, respectively. Then we calculate quantities such as potential, Lagrange multiplier, slow-roll, and some cosmological parameters such as $n_{s}$ and $r$. Then we challenge the mentioned inflationary model from the swampland dS conjecture. We discuss the stability of the model and investigate the compatibility or incompatibility of this inflationary scenario with the latest Planck observable data.

The correlation of WGC and Hydrodynamics bound with $R^4$ correction in the charged AdS$_{d+2}$ black brane

In this paper, we focus on the possible correlation between conjectures KSS bound and weak gravity conjecture (WGC). The hydrodynamic values KSS bound and weak gravity conjecture constraint the low-energy effective field theory. These conjectures identify UV complete theories. We give four, six and eight order derivative corrections to corresponding action and employ the hyperscaling violating charged AdS$_{d+2}$ black brane solution. These corrections lead us to find correlation between conjectures KSS bound and weak gravity conjecture. We see that, with increasing perturbation correction, this correlation is more likely to appear. We consider dynamical constant $z=1$, $d=5$ and obtain the range of hyperscaling violation exponent $d+z-2\leqθ\leq d+z-1$ for the above mentioned black brane. Here, we show that higher derivative corrections reduce the ratio of $\frac{M}{Q}$ to extremal black holes. Likewise, we also obtain the universal relaxation bound $τ\geq \frac{1}{πT}$ and KSS bound $\fracη{s}\geq \frac{1}{4π}$ for our model. The results indicate that there is a possibility of a relationship between the two conjectures. Our studies also show the consistency of the WGC and the KSS bound conjectures for all corrections (except curvature-cubed, $β_2$) in the extremal and near-extremal condition.

Traversable wormhole in logarithmic $f(R)$ gravity by various shape and redshift functions

We study the traversable wormhole solutions for a logarithmic corrected $f(R)$ model by considering two different statements of shape $b(r)$ and redshift $Φ(r)$ functions. We calculate the parameters of the model including energy density $ρ$, tangential pressure $P_{t}$ and radial pressure $P_{r}$ for the corresponding forms of the functions. Then, we investigate different energy conditions such as null energy condition, weak energy condition, dominant energy condition and strong energy condition for our considered cases. Finally, we explain the satisfactory conditions of energy of the models by related plots.

Tsallis and Kaniadakis holographic dark energy with Complex Quintessence theory in Brans-Dicke cosmology

In this paper, by considering the complex form of the quintessence model, we study two different dynamic structures of holographic dark energy as Tsallis and Kaniadakis in the framework Brans-Dicke cosmology. In each setup, we employ non-interacting and interacting cases and calculate some cosmological parameters such as the equation of state $ω$. We also discuss the $ ω- ω'$ behavior. By modifying the potential and studying the scalar field dynamics, we examine the complex quintessence cosmology. In addition, considering the two parts of the quintessence field effects, i.e., real and complex, and considering the fractional energy density $ Ω_{D} $, we examine whether it can describe a real universe or not. We also specify that the fractional energy density can not be arbitrary between 0 and 1. In other words, it depends on the Tsallis, Kaniadakis, and Brans-Dicke cosmology free parameters. We create a relationship between the fractional energy density and other parameters introduced in the text such as $δ$, $b^{2}$, $α$ and $β$ for each model separately. Finally, we compare the obtained results of models to each other and the latest observable data.

Thermal width and entropic force of a moving quarkonia with charged deformed AdS background

The entropic force and the imaginary part of potential experienced by a moving quarkonia in a plasma, are computed in a charged deformed AdS background by holography approaches. In that case, the axis of the moving quarkonia has an arbitrary angle with wind. We show that the charge in deformed AdS background deeply effect on the increasing entropic force and decreasing thermal width. So, the dissociation length of the meson becomes short when charge is increasing. In addition, the entropic force and thermal width are increased by the deformation of the space. Therefore the deformation parameter in such background leads us to find process with arbitrary dissociation length of quark- anti quark.

Klein Gordon particle near R-N black hole, generalized sl(2) algebra and harmonic oscillator energy

In this paper, we consider Klein Gordon particle near Reissner-Nordström black hole. The symmetry of such background lead us to compare the corresponding Laplace equation with the generalized Heun functions. Such relation help us achieve the generalized $sl(2)$ algebra and some suitable results for describing the above mentioned symmetry. On the other hand in case of $r\rightarrow r_{+}$ which is near the proximity black hole, we obtain the energy spectrum and wave function. When we compare the equation of $R-N$ background with Laguerre differential equation, we show that the obtained energy spectrum is same as three dimensional harmonic oscillator. So, finally we take advantage of harmonic oscillator energy and make suitable partition function. Such function help us to obtain all thermodynamical properties of black hole. Also, the structure of obtained entropy lead us to have some bit and information theory in the $R-N$ black hole.

Logarithmic corrected $F(R)$ gravity in the light of Planck 2015

In this letter, we consider the theory of $F(R)$ gravity with the lagrangian density $ £= R+αR^2 + βR^2 \ln βR $. We obtain the constant curvature solutions and find the scalar potential of the gravitational field. We also obtain the mass squared of a scalaron in the Einstein$^,$s frame. We find cosmological parameters corresponding to the recent Plank 2015 results. Finally, we analyze the critical points and stability of the new modified theory of gravity and find that logarithmic correction is necessary to have successful model.

P - V Criticality of Logarithmic Corrected Dyonic Charged AdS Black Hole

In this paper, we consider dyonic charged AdS black hole which is holographic dual of a van der Waals fluid. We use logarithmic corrected entropy and study thermodynamics of the black hole and show that holographic picture is still valid. Critical behaviors and stability also discussed. Logarithmic corrections arises due to thermal fluctuations which are important when size of black hole be small. So, thermal fluctuations interpreted as quantum effect. It means that we can see quantum effect of a black hole which is a gravitational system.

STU/QCD Correspondence

In this review article we consider a special case of $D=5$, $\mathcal{N}=2$ supergravity called the STU model. We apply the gauge/gravity correspondence to the STU model to gain insight into properties of the quark-gluon plasma. Given that the quark-gluon plasma is in reality described by QCD, therefore we call our study STU/QCD correspondence. First, we investigate the thermodynamics and hydrodynamics of the STU background. Then we use dual picture of the theory, which is type IIB string theory, to obtain the drag force and jet-quenching parameter of an external probe quark.

The effects of deformation parameter on thermal width of moving quarkonia in plasma

In general we can say that the thermal width of quarkonia corresponds to imaginary part of its potential. Gravity dual of theories give explicit form of potential as $V_{Q\bar{Q}}$ . Since there is an explicit formula for $Im V_{Q\bar{Q}}$ one can consider different gravity duals and study the results of contribution of various parameters. Variable gravity duals of moving pair in plasma have different results for potential. Our paper shows that deformation parameter c in warp factor leads to new results that we present them for arbitrary angles of the pair with respect to its velocity. We compare our results with the case that no deformation parameter is in metric background. We will see that the thermal width of the pair increases with increasing deformation parameter. Also, for nonzero values of deformation parameter the pair feels moving plasma in all distances. In addition our results indicate that contribution of deformation parameter leads to larger dissociation length for the moving pair reverse to the effect of the pairs velocity in the plasma.

Hubble parameter corrected interactions in cosmology

In this paper we make steps in a new direction by considering fluids with EoS of more general form $F(ρ,P)=0$. It is thought that there should be interaction between cosmic fluids, but this assumption for this stage carries only phenomenological character opening a room for different kind of manipulations. In this article we will consider a modification of an interaction $Q$, where we accept that interaction parameter $b_{1}$ (order of unity) in $Q=3Hb_{1}ρ$ is time dependent and presented as a linear function of Hubble parameter $H$ of the form $b_{0}+btH$, where $b$ and $b_{0}$ are constants. We consider two different models include modified Chaplygin gas and palotropic gas which have bulk viscosity. Then, we investigate problem numerically and analyze behavior of different cosmological parameters concerning to fluids and behavior of Universe.

Interacting Holographic Extended Chaplygin Gas and Phantom Cosmology in the Light of BICEP2

In this paper, we study the holographic dark energy density and interacting extended Chaplygin gas energy density in the Einstein gravity. We reconstruct the scalar field and the scalar potential describing the extended Chaplygin gas. In the special case, we obtain energy density and investigate some cosmological parameters. Assuming interaction between components we find energy density for some different parametrization of total EoS. We analyze tensor to scalar ratio and use recent observational data of BICEP2 to fix the model parameters.

Interacting quintessence dark energy models in Lyra manifold

In this paper, we consider two-component dark energy models in Lyra manifold. The first component is assumed as a quintessence field while the second model may be a viscous polytropic gas, a viscous Van der Waals gas or a viscous modified Chaplygin gas. We also consider the possibility of interaction between components. By using numerical analysis, we study some cosmological parameters of the models and compare them with observational data.

Interaction between modified Chaplygin gas and ghost dark energy in presence of extra dimensions

In this paper, we consider three different models of dark energy in higher dimensional space-time and discuss about some cosmological parameters numerically. The first model is a single component universe including viscous varying modified Chaplygin gas. In the second model, we consider two-component universe including viscous varying modified Chaplygin gas and ghost dark energy. In the third model, we consider another two-component universe including viscous modified cosmic Chaplygin gas and ghost dark energy. In the cases of two-component fluids we also consider possibility of interaction between components.

Logarithmic curvature correction to Lifshitz and hyperscaling violation geometries

In this note we consider the logarithmic curvature correction to Lifshitz and hyper scaling violation geometries. We investigate the effect of this correction to the gauge kinetic function f and the effective potential V . For the case of hyper scaling violating we show that the coupling between dilaton and the correction terms exhibit the logarithmic behavior for dilaton like for the case of squared curvature correction. We find the unexpected form of gauge kinetic function and potential in the presence of logarithmic terms. We try to resolve the IR singularity of Lifshitz and hyperscaling violation geometries by adding the logarithmic term.

Mutually interacting Tachyon dark energy with variable $G$ and $Λ$

In this paper we consider Tachyonic scalar field as dark energy with interaction between components in the case of variable $G$ and $Λ$. We assume a flat Universe with specific form of scale factor and study cosmological parameters numerically and graphically. Statefinder analysis also performed as well. In the special choice of interaction parameters we succeed to obtain analytical expression of densities. We find that our model will be stable in the late stage but there is an instability at the early Universe.

Phenomenologically varying $Λ$ and a toy model for the Universe

We consider a model of the Universe with variable G and Λ. Subject of our interest is a phenomenological model for Λ proposed and considered in this article first time (up to our knowledge). Modification based on an assumption that ghost dark energy exists and Universe will feel it through Λ. In that case we would like to consider possibility that there exist some unusual connections between different components of the fluids existing in Universe. We would like to stress, that this is just an assumption and could be very far from the reality. We are interested by this model as a phenomenological and mathematical and unfortunately, we will not discuss about physical conditions and possibilities of having such modifications. To test our assumption and to observe behavior of the Universe, we will consider toy models filled by a barotropic fluid and modified Chaplyagin gas. To complete the logic of the research we will consider interaction between barotropic fluid or Chaplygin gas with ghost dark energy as a separate scenario. Statefinder diagnostic also provided with stability analysis of the models. All free parameters of the model fixed to satisfy generalized second law of thermodynamics.

We consider three different models by choosing variable $Λ$ depend on time, the Hubble parameter and the energy density of dark matter and dark energy. Dark energy assumed as quintessence which interacts with the dark matter. By using numerical analysis we investigate behavior of cosmological parameters in three different models and compare our results with observational data. Statefinder diagnostic is also performed for all models.

We study thermodynamics of AdS_{5} black hole with three equal charges (q_{1} = q_{2} = q_{3} = q). We obtain Schrodinger like equation and discuss the effective potential. Then, we consider the case of the perturbed dilaton field background and find presence of odd coefficients of the wave function. Also we find that the higher derivative corrections have no effect on the first and second even coefficients of the wave function.

Binding energy of a holographic deuteron and tritium in anti-de-Sitter space/conformal field theory (AdS/CFT)

In the large 't Hooft coupling limit, the hadronic size of baryon is small and nucleon-nucleon potential is obtained from massless pseudo-scalar exchanges and an infinite tower of spin one mesons exchanges. In this paper we use the holographic nucleon-nucleon interaction and obtain the corresponding potential and binding energy for deuteron and tritium nuclei. The obtained potentials are repulsive at short distances and clearly become zero by increasing distance as we expected.

Holograghic Brownian motion in $2+1$ dimensional hairy black holes

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of a heavy quark under the plasmas correspond to three dimensional hairy black holes. We utilize the AdS/CFT correspondence to study the holographic Brownian motion of this particle in different kinds of hairy black holes. For uncharged black hole at low frequency limit we derive analytic expressions for correlation functions and response functions and verify that the fluctuation-dissipation theorem holds in the presence of a scalar field in the metric background. In the case of charged black hole, we think that the results are similar to what derived for uncharged black hole.

Holograghic Brownian motion in three dimensional Gödel black hole

By using the AdS/CFT correspondence and Gödel black hole background, we study the dynamics of heavy quark under a rotating plasma. In that case we follow Atmaja (JHEP 1304, 021, (2013)) about Brownian motion in BTZ black hole. In this paper we receive some new results for the case of $α^{2}l^{2}\neq1$. This case, we must redefine the angular velocity of string fluctuation. We obtain the time evolution of displacement square that angular velocity and show that it behaves as a Brownian particle in non-relativistic limit. In this plasma, it seems that relating the Brownian motion with physical observables is rather a difficult work. But our results match with Atmaja work in the limit $α^{2}l^{2}\rightarrow1$.

Nucleon-Meson Couplings in One Boson Exchange Potential using Non-Critical String Theory

A non-critical holographic QCD model constructed in the six dimensional Anti-de-Sitter ($AdS_6$) supergravity background is employed to study a the baryon. It is shown that the size of the baryon is of order one with respect to the $λ$, however, it is smaller than the scale of the dual QCD. An effective four dimensional action for the nucleon is obtained in terms of the meson exchange potentials. All meson-nucleon couplings in the non-critical $AdS_6$ background are calculated. Results obtained using our model are compared with predictions of four modern phenomenological interaction models. Also, our numerical results are compared with the results of the Sakai-Sugimoto (SS) model which indicate that the non-critical holographic QCD model can be a good toy to calculate the meson-nucleon couplings.

Phenomenological Varying Modified Chaplygin Gas with Variable $G$ and $Λ$: Toy Models for Our Universe

This article motivated by the recent articles and results of two authors. Recently, J. Sadeghi and H. In this article, We tempt to consider varying Modified Chaplygin gas model in case of variable $G$ and $Λ$. It is well known, that varying $G$ and $Λ$ gives rise to modified field equations and modified conservation laws. We will consider two different toy models. First model is a Universe with one component phenomenological gas of our consideration, while for the second model we assume existence of a composed fluid of gas and a matter with $P=ω(t)ρ_{m}$. Sign changeable interaction between fluids is accepted. We will analyze important cosmological parameters like EoS parameter of a fluid, deceleration parameter $q$ of the model.

In order to have hyperscaling violation we need to consider $θ=\frac{d}{2}.$ In that case the free energy $F$ is always negative and our solution is thermal radiation without a black hole. Decay widths of large-spin mesons from the non-critical string/gauge duality

In this paper, we use the non-critical string/gauge duality to calculate the decay widths of large-spin mesons. Since it is believed that the string theory of QCD is not a ten dimensional theory, we expect that the non-critical versions of ten dimensional black hole backgrounds lead to better results than the critical ones. For this purpose we concentrate on the confining theories and consider two different six dimensional black hole backgrounds. We choose the near extremal AdS6 model and the near extremal KM model to compute the decay widths of large-spin mesons. Then, we present our results from these two non-critical backgrounds and compare them together with those from the critical models and experimental data.

Particle acceleration in Horava-Lifshitz black holes

In this paper we calculate the center-of-mass energy of two colliding test particles near the rotating and non-rotating Horava-Lifshitz black hole. For the case of slowly rotating KS solution of Horava-Lifshitz black hole we compare our results with the case of Kerr black holes. We confirm the limited value of the center-of-mass energy for the static black holes and unlimited value of the center-of-mass energy for the rotating black holes. Numerically, we discuss temperature dependence of the center-of-mass energy on the black hole horizon. We obtain the critical angular momentum of particles. In this limit the center-of-mass energy of two colliding particles in the neighborhood of the rotating Horava-Lifshitz black hole could be arbitrarily high. We found appropriate conditions where the critical angular momentum could have an orbit outside the horizon. Finally, we obtain center-of-mass energy corresponding to this circle orbit.

Stability analysis of agegraphic dark energy in Brans-Dicke cosmology

Stability analysis of agegraphic dark energy in Brans-Dicke theory is presented in this paper. We constrain the model parameters with the observational data and thus the results become broadly consistent with those expected from experiment. Stability analysis of the model without best fitting shows that universe may begin from an unstable state passing a saddle point and finally become stable in future. However, with the best fitted model, There is no saddle intermediate state. The agegraphic dark energy in the model by itself exhibits a phantom behavior. However, contribution of cold dark matter on the effective energy density modifies the state of teh universe from phantom phase to quintessence one. The statefinder diagnosis also indicates that the universe leaves an unstable state in the past, passes the LCDM state and finally approaches the sable state in future.

In this paper, we investigate thermal equilibrium in string gas cosmology which is dominated by closed string. We consider two interesting regimes, Hagedorn and radiation regimes. We find that for short strings in small radius of Hagedorn regime very large amount of energy requested to have thermal equilibrium but for long strings in such system a few energy is sufficient to have thermal equilibrium. On the other hand in the large radius of Hagedorn regime, which pressure is not negligible, we obtain a relation between the energy and pressure in terms of cosmic time which is satisfied by thermal equilibrium. Then we discuss about radiation regime and find that in all cases there is thermal equilibrium.

Bouncing Universe and Reconstructing Vector Field

Motivated by the recent works of Refs. \cite{R1, R2} where a model of inflation has been suggested with non-minimally coupled massive vector fields, we generalize their work to the study of the bouncing solution. So we consider a massive vector field, which is non-minimally coupled to gravity. Also we consider non-minimal coupling of vector field to the scalar curvature. Then we reconstruct this model in the light of three forms of parametrization for dynamical dark energy. Finally we simply plot reconstructed physical quantities in flat universe.

Calculating the jet-quenching parameter in STU background

In this paper we use the AdS/CFT correspondence to compute the jet-quenching parameter in a N=2 thermal plasma. We consider the general three-charge black hole and discuss some special cases. We add a constant electric field to the background and find the effect of the electric field on the jet-quenching parameter. Also we include higher derivative terms and obtain the first-order correction for the jet-quenching parameter.

Jet-quenching of the rotating heavy meson in a ${\mathcal{N}}$=4 SYM plasma in presence of a constant electric field

In this paper, we consider a rotating heavy quark-antiquark ($q\bar{q}$) pair in a ${\mathcal{N}}$=4 SYM thermal plasma. We assume that $q\bar{q}$ center of mass moves at the speed $v$ and furthermore they rotate around the center of mass. We use the AdS/CFT correspondence and consider the effect of external electromagnetic field on the motion of the rotating meson. Then we calculate the jet-quenching parameter corresponding to the rotating meson in the constant electric field.

Baryon Binding Energy in Sakai-Sugimoto Model

The binding energy of baryon has been studied in the dual $AdS_5\times S^5$ string theory with a black hole interior. In this picture baryon is constructed of a $D_5$ brane vertex wrapping on $S^5$ and $N_c$ fundamental strings connected to it. Here, we calculate the baryon binding energy in Sakai-Sugimoto model with a $D_4/D_8/\bar{D_8}$ in which the supersymmetry is completely broken. Also we check the $T$ dependence of the baryon binding energy. We believe that this model represents an accurate description of baryons due to the existence of Chern-Simones coupling with the gauge field on the brane. We obtain an analytical expression for the baryon binding energy . In that case we plot the baryon binding energy in terms of radial coordinate. Then by using the binding energy diagram, we determine the stability range for baryon configuration. And also the position and energy of the stable equilibrium point is obtained by the corresponding diagram. Also we plot the baryon binding energy in terms of temperature and estimate a critical temperature in which the baryon would be dissociated.

Drag force with different charges in STU background and $AdS$/CFT

In this paper we consider the drag force problem in the STU model. Already this problem and related topics were studied in ${\mathcal N}=4$ SYM theory. Here we study the same problem in ${\mathcal N}=2$ supergravity theory with an R-charge black hole (the STU model). This paper extends our previous work [1,2] by studying more general charge configurations and by taking into account the effect of a constant electromagnetic field and higher derivative corrections. We consider a single quark and a $q \bar q$ pair in a three charge non-extremal black hole background. First by using the AdS/CFT correspondence, we obtain the drag force, the diffusion coefficient, the total energy and momentum, quasinormal modes, and the effect of higher derivative corrections for the single quark. Next we calculate the drag force for a $q \bar q$ pair which rotates around its center of mass. For the first time we study the motion of a rotating $q \bar q$ pair in ${\mathcal N}=2$ supergravity theory. We show that our results in the near-extremal limit agree with the energy loss of the moving quark which was calculated in the ${\mathcal N}=4$ SYM plasma.

Time-dependent backgrounds of two dimensional string theory from the $c=1$ matrix model

The aim of this paper is to use correspondence between solutions in the $c=1$ matrix model collective field theory and coupled dilaton-gravity to a massless scalar field. First, we obtain the incoming and outgoing fluctuations for the time-dependent backgrounds with the lightlike and spacelike boundaries. In the case of spacelike boundaries, we have done here for the first time. Then by using the leg-pole transformations we find corresponding tachyon field in two dimensional string theory for lightlikes and spacelikes boundary.
