The area of a convex projective surface of genus g≥2 is at least (g−1)π2/2+∥τ∥2/8 where τ=(logti) is the vector of triangle invariants of Bonahon-Dreyer and ti are the Fock-Goncharov triangle coordinates.
We construct an explicit lower bound for the volume of a complex hyperbolic orbifold that depends only on dimension.
In this paper we derive an explicit lower bound on the volume of a hyperbolic n-orbifold for dimensions greater than or equal to four. Our main tool is H. C. Wang's bound on the radius of a ball embedded in the fundamental domain of a discrete subgroup of a semisimple Lie group.
