Ill-posedness of Naiver-Stokes equations and critical Besov-Morrey spaces

The blow up phenomenon in the first step of the classical Picard's scheme was proved in this paper. For certain initial spaces, Bourgain-Pavlović and Yoneda proved the ill-posedness of the Navier-Stokes equations by showing the norm inflation in certain solution spaces. But Chemin and Gallagher said the space B˙∞−1,∞\dot{B}^{-1,\infty}_{\infty} seems to be optimal for some solution spaces best chosen. In this paper, we consider more general initial spaces than Bourgain-Pavlović and Yoneda did and establish ill-posedness result independent of the choice of solution space. Our result is a complement of the previous ill-posedness results on Navier-Stokes equations.

Characterization of inclusion relations between wiener amalgam and some classical spaces

In this paper, we establish the sharp conditions for the inclusion relations between Besov spaces Bp,qB_{p,q} and Wiener amalgam spaces Wp,qsW_{p,q}^s. We also obtain the optimal inclusion relations between local hardy spaces hph^p and Wiener amalgam spaces Wp,qsW_{p,q}^s, which completely improve and extend the main results obtained by Cunanana, Kobayashib and Sugimotoa in [J. Funct. Anal. 268 (2015), 239-254]. In addition, we establish some mild characterizations of inclusion relations between Triebel-Lizorkin and Wiener amalgam spaces, which relates some modern inequalities to classical inequalities.

Compactness of Riesz transform commutator associated with Bessel operators

Let λ>0λ>0 and △λ:=−d2dx2−2λxddx\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx} be the Bessel operator on R+:=(0,∞)\mathbb R_+:=(0,\infty). We first introduce and obtain an equivalent characterization of CMO(R+, x2λdx){\rm CMO}(\mathbb R_+,\, x^{2λ}dx). By this equivalent characterization and establishing a new version of the Fréchet-Kolmogorov theorem in the Bessel setting, we further prove that a function b∈BMO(R+, x2λdx)b\in {\rm BMO}(\mathbb R_+,\, x^{2λ}dx) is in CMO(R+, x2λdx){\rm CMO}(\mathbb R_+,\, x^{2λ}dx) if and only if the Riesz transform commutator [b,RΔλ][b, R_{Δ_λ}] is compact on Lp(R+,x2λdx)L^p(\mathbb R_+, x^{2λ}dx) for any p∈(1,∞)p\in(1, \infty).

Full Characterization of embedding relations between alpha modulation spaces

In this paper, we consider the embedding relations between any two αα% -modulation spaces. Based on an observation that the αα-modulation space with smaller αα can be regarded as a corresponding αα% -modulation space with larger αα, we give a complete characterization of the Fourier multipliers between αα-modulation spaces with different αα. Then we establish a full version of optimal embedding relations between αα-modulation spaces. As an application, we determine that the bounded operators commuting with translations between αα-modulation spaces are of convolution type.

Oscillation and variation for Riesz transform associated with Bessel operators

Let λ>0λ>0 and △λ:=−d2dx2−2λxddx\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx} be the Bessel operator on R+:=(0,∞)\mathbb R_+:=(0,\infty). We show that the oscillation operator O(RΔλ,∗)\mathcal{O}(R_{Δ_λ,\ast}) and variation operator Vρ(RΔλ,∗)\mathcal{V}_ρ(R_{Δ_λ,\ast}) of the Riesz transform RΔλR_{Δ_λ} associated with ΔλΔ_λ are both bounded on Lp(R+,dmλ)L^p(\mathbb R_+, dm_λ) for p∈(1, ∞)p\in(1,\,\infty), from L1(R+,dmλ)L^1(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ) to L1, ∞(R+,dmλ)L^{1,\,\infty}(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ), and from L∞(R+,dmλ)L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ) to BMO(R+,dmλ)BMO(\mathbb{R}_{+},dm_λ), where ρ∈(2,∞)ρ\in (2,\infty) and dmλ(x):=x2λdxdm_λ(x):=x^{2λ}dx. As an application, we give the corresponding LpL^p-estimates for ββ-jump operators and the number of up-crossing.

Oscillation and variation for semigroups associated with Bessel operators

Let λ>0λ>0 and △λ:=−d2dx2−2λxddx\triangle_λ:=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{2λ}{x} \frac d{dx} be the Bessel operator on R+:=(0,∞)\mathbb R_+:=(0,\infty). We show that the oscillation operator O(P∗[λ]){\mathcal O(P^{[λ]}_\ast)} and variation operator Vρ(P∗[λ]){\mathcal V}_ρ(P^{[λ]}_\ast) of the Poisson semigroup {Pt[λ]}t>0\{P^{[λ]}_t\}_{t>0} associated with ΔλΔ_λ are both bounded on Lp(R+,dmλ)L^p(\mathbb R_+, dm_λ) for p∈(1,∞)p\in(1, \infty), BMO(R+,dmλ)BMO({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ), from L1(R+,dmλ)L^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ) to L1, ∞(R+,dmλ)L^{1,\,\infty}({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ), and from H1(R+,dmλ)H^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ) to L1(R+,dmλ)L^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ), where ρ∈(2,∞)ρ\in(2, \infty) and dmλ(x):=x2λ dxdm_λ(x):=x^{2λ}\,dx. As an application, an equivalent characterization of H1(R+,dmλ)H^1({{\mathbb R}_+},dm_λ) in terms of Vρ(P∗[λ]){\mathcal V}_ρ(P^{[λ]}_\ast) is also established. All these results hold if {Pt[λ]}t>0\{P^{[λ]}_t\}_{t>0} is replaced by the heat semigroup {Wt[λ]}t>0\{W^{[λ]}_t\}_{t>0}. }

Weak Hardy Spaces WHLp(Rn)WH_L^p({\mathbb R}^n) Associated to Operators Satisfying kk-Davies-Gaffney Estimates

Let LL be a one-to-one operator of type ωω having a bounded H∞H_\infty functional calculus and satisfying the kk-Davies-Gaffney estimates with k∈Nk\in{\mathbb N}. In this paper, the authors introduce the weak Hardy space WHLp(Rn)WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n) associated to LL for p∈(0, 1]p\in (0,\,1] via the non-tangential square function SLS_L and establish a weak molecular characterization of WHLp(Rn)WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n). Typical examples of such operators include the 2k2k-order divergence form homogeneous elliptic operator L1:=(−1)k∑∣α∣=k=∣β∣∂β(aα,β∂α)L_1:=(-1)^k\sum_{|α|=k=|β|}\partial^β(a_{α,β}\partial^α), where {aα,β}∣α∣=k=∣β∣\{a_{α,β}\}_{|α|=k=|β|} are complex bounded measurable functions, and the 2k2k-order Schrödinger type operator L2:=(−Δ)k+VkL_2:= (-Δ)^k+V^k, where ΔΔ is the Laplacian operator and 0≤V∈Llock(Rn)0\le V\in L^k_{\mathop\mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^n). As applications, for i∈{1, 2}i\in\{1,\,2\} and p∈(nn+k, 1]p\in(\frac{n}{n+k},\,1], the authors prove that the associated Riesz transform ∇k(Li−1/2)\nabla^k (L_i^{-1/2}) is bounded from WHLip(Rn)WH^p_{L_i}(\mathbb{R}^n) to the classical weak Hardy space WHp(Rn)WH^p(\mathbb{R}^n) and, for all 0<p<r≤10<p<r\le1 and α=n(1p−1r)α=n(\frac{1}{p}-\frac{1}{r}), the fractional power Li−α2kL_i^{-\fracα{2k}} is bounded from WHLip(Rn)WH_{L_i}^p(\mathbb{R}^n) to WHLir(Rn)WH_{L_i}^r(\mathbb{R}^n). Furthermore, the authors find the dual space of WHLp(Rn)WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n) for p∈(0, 1]p\in(0,\,1], which can be defined via mean oscillations based on some subtle coverings of bounded open sets and, even when L:=−ΔL:=-Δ, are also previously unknown. In particular, if LL is a nonnegative self-adjoint operator in L2(Rn)L^2({\mathbb R}^n) satisfying the Davies-Gaffney estimates, the authors further establish the weak atomic characterization of WHLp(Rn)WH_L^p(\mathbb{R}^n).
